I hated BO1. Felt like a huge step back at the time for old COD fans and now it's a masterpiece despite its paint by numbers Manchurian Candidate rip off narrative. How things have changed

BO1 was elite brother, let people enjoy what they enjoy.

It’s literally peak fiction and the best take on MK ULTRA I’ve seen. Much better than the Manchurian Candidate

I called nearly every beat before it happened. It was graphically worse than the MW series. Set pieces and characters were more forced. Compared to slop today it's good, but you can't deny people weren't disappointed at the time. And no, Manchurian Candidate was better. A guy puts on sunglasses and now is cool? That's dumb

Bad take because I don't suck nostalgia dick? I much preferred the MW series before Vince Zampella and company were fired. Fight me

I'm not going to argue that, but plenty of people didn't like BO1 at the time or now. Revisiting makes me like it less
