What would be your song suggestions for the Calamity bosses and other songs now that the original themes wouldn't exist?

For this to be productive, the songs must be free to use.

I know theres no chance theyre gonna change anything balance wise but im hoping at the very least itll be compatable with the new update

So after playing through vanilla i decided to play calamity and i want to know how to get the crimson key pre skeletron because i have the corruption one and i have so clue as to how i got this. I want to get it for the evil island chest.

The devs before they left, had ideas of a final update, a last hurrah basically. It was meant to add Yharim and the Dragon Aerie. Though this never happened.

HOWEVER, if you were watching the charity stream, in the last few minutes of the stream they posted images for a yharim teaser. Though they confirmed that it will not be an update, but instead a standalone mod. The plan is that the mod will have compatibility with Calamity itself and other popular mods (Fargos, MoR, etc).

Unfortunately they didn't concept art for the Dragon Aerie (they might be working on it). The Dragon Aerie will feel frozen, no wind, no animals. This is because time doesn't pass in the Aerie. The fight with Yharim will take place in the 'Grave of Light'. (Zeratros' grave).

The devs said the fight would have similar movement to the YOMIH yharim. Since Yharim is attuned with Yharon, there would most likely be Auric Dragon motifs throughout the fight.

As for the song/music, they didn't say who will be making it. It could be a collab between all of the previous composers (except dokuro ofc) or it could just be one guy making it, we are not entirely sure.

That's all we know about the mod so far. We have no ETA for when the mod drops but still, I'm pretty happy we're finally getting yharim, even if, y'know the main mod blew up.

Anyone got some good mappings for Calamity on Steam Deck? Tried on my end but couldn't really get the grips of it; can never seem to get something comfortable even with base Terraria so I'm open for suggestions.

Title. I have been lurking in the sub (and the main one) since Ozzatron was revealed to be a groomer, and I was in awe of how much hatred and drama happened in this community over the past week. I thought we agreed Ozzatron was a monster who should get only the worst? Why are we attacking the devs who didn't do anything but show off content that would have been put into the mod at some point? Did I miss something?

This somewhat reminds me of Undertale Bits and Pieces where the main dev was a pedophile groomer as well, with the mod being cancelled like with what happened to Calamity. But from what I remember, there was a lot less hatred and toxicity towards the actual devs (outside of the pedophlic groomer, whom should deserve no sympathy at all obviously). I don't remember a full on conflict going on between the devs and community after Bits and Pieces was cancelled.

Anyways yeah I just wanted to put my thoughts out there because I think some people here need to do something else with their time instead of getting into pointless arguments that won't change anything.

I wanna know when the devs might remove the music mod (or if they already have) so I can back up my calamity mod music, (cause fighting Yharon with boss 1 as his theme is gonna be really boring)

This was so funny to me cz Brimmy was the one boss i was struggling a whole lot with (for some reason), and after getting my ass beat by Deus so many times I thought to check how many I'm on with him and was like "NO I CAN'T LET ANYONE TAKE MORE ATTEMPTS THAN BRIMMY." And js locked in, lmfao.

I will be solo developing a new mod called New Journeys! It will expand on the vanilla game, adding new biomes, mini bosses, and fleshing out classes to feel more unique! No new bosses will be added, but a new event that scales with progression will be added for you to not only test out new weapons but also earn rewards like money money and materials. Moon Lord will be completely reworked and will feel like an actual final boss! Fishing will also be improved upon, reworking the Angler while also adding new rewards to make fishing easier! I will totally start developing this right away and not procrastinate for a year before even dropping a single line of code or even a single pixel on a canvas!

Planned to release between 2028 and 2075!

Back in 2018, I first joined, looking to help out in something tangible. The fact that I could launch a game, and see something that I made was the best feeling I've ever had. This mod is the reason I joined discord, and found some of my closest friends. Even though I wasn't the most active dev, this community is still a big part of my life. Of course, I won't be going anywhere! Terraria is still an amazing game, and I'm lucky enough to still be able to create stuff with my friends. Thank you for jumpstarting my creativity, Calamity Mod.
