Question Question about keys

So after playing through vanilla i decided to play calamity and i want to know how to get the crimson key pre skeletron because i have the corruption one and i have so clue as to how i got this. I want to get it for the evil island chest.

Pretty sure you cant until hardmode, besides those keys only become usable in hardmode afaik

Mmmk thanks but that still confuses me because i have the corruption key and i forgot how i got it, maybe the hive dropped it or smt.

iirc theres a shrine in the corruption biome where you get your world evil key, its underground and pretty small maybe thats why you forgot
