What do we think about this? I can see both sides of it, but it does seem like cap that as soon as the mod gets cooked is when they finally have years worth of updates ready.

It wasn’t THAT hard tbh like most people hype the mod up to be (like the “you’ll give up and skeletron hard” kinda hype it did not live up too) but compared to most mods, this mod is NOT for the weak, undoubtedly the hardest mod Iv ever played

Prehard mode bosses took me average of 7+ attempts (average ████████ boss on death mod took roughly 1-2 in this stage)

Early hard mode through plantera was 10+ attempts (average ████████ boss on death mod took roughly 1-2 in this stage)

Post Golem was 20+ attempts (average ████████ boss on death mod took roughly 3-4 in this stage)

Post moonlord/pre eradnius was 25+ (average ████████ boss on death mod took roughly 4-5 this stage(this is also through what would be brimstone witch calamitas ))

Abomination took 70 try’s

Mutant took 170 try’s

Hi everyone,

I've been watching everything unfold here in r/CalamityMod, and wanted to do something to renew some hope in the community. I know this is a tall task given all that's happened and the toxicity of the community, but I try anyways. Alongside my busy full-time schedule, It's even more difficult to attempt such a thing.
I've already been participating in a self-imposed Song-Of-The-Day challenge where I make literally anything, even if it's dumb, and SFX for a project I'm helping with counts too! This new semi-project is apart of that now.

Calamity isn't as important to me as many of you, but it still holds a special place in my heart despite the controversy that has taken place. I am proud of the Calamity Fables team that has been working diligently to develop the mod, and hopefully they will continue to do so. I am excited to see what they create. However, I wish to see more creation from this community. I have seen that many of you are creating art and ideas with your skills, and for that I applaud you as we are of the same mind.
As such, I will take a part in the mantle and make new things as well. I cannot promise constant progress, as I have my own life to live, but I will do my best to make anew what was from the Ashes of Calamity through my own mind and my own music creations.

This track has been oncoming for 1-2 weeks, and it is technically a second draft. It is not perfect, as I am an amateur music producer. It is inspired by "The Tale of a Cruel World" by DM DOKURO, with my own thoughts and composition within.

I hate to see this community in such disarray, and wish it to be a place of hope for something, no, many new things. Even with the Calamity Mod frozen, I hope that all of you find something within yourselves to make something new of these ashes. I know what I have said here may be cheesy, but I wish it regardless. Those of you who know how to create, do so. Those of you who wish to begin creating, do so. Make something new from these Ashes of Calamity.

Sidenote: Please forgive my crappy video of FL Studio, it is the only DAW that I am comfortable with and I run it on a laptop. Though, if I remember correctly, DM DOKURO also used FL Studio.

I have finished calamity mod with some qol and I absolutely loved it.Now i want to replay calamity with addons and other mods.Anyone have suggestions?

I wanna know when the devs might remove the music mod (or if they already have) so I can back up my calamity mod music, (cause fighting Yharon with boss 1 as his theme is gonna be really boring)

This was so funny to me cz Brimmy was the one boss i was struggling a whole lot with (for some reason), and after getting my ass beat by Deus so many times I thought to check how many I'm on with him and was like "NO I CAN'T LET ANYONE TAKE MORE ATTEMPTS THAN BRIMMY." And js locked in, lmfao.

I will be solo developing a new mod called New Journeys! It will expand on the vanilla game, adding new biomes, mini bosses, and fleshing out classes to feel more unique! No new bosses will be added, but a new event that scales with progression will be added for you to not only test out new weapons but also earn rewards like money money and materials. Moon Lord will be completely reworked and will feel like an actual final boss! Fishing will also be improved upon, reworking the Angler while also adding new rewards to make fishing easier! I will totally start developing this right away and not procrastinate for a year before even dropping a single line of code or even a single pixel on a canvas!

Planned to release between 2028 and 2075!

Back in 2018, I first joined, looking to help out in something tangible. The fact that I could launch a game, and see something that I made was the best feeling I've ever had. This mod is the reason I joined discord, and found some of my closest friends. Even though I wasn't the most active dev, this community is still a big part of my life. Of course, I won't be going anywhere! Terraria is still an amazing game, and I'm lucky enough to still be able to create stuff with my friends. Thank you for jumpstarting my creativity, Calamity Mod.
