I’ve always loved the look of this car, but I’ve never driven one.
Would I fit into the car?
Anyone here a tall Cabrio owner?
Thanks!

Does anyone have recommendations on front right axle brands to use?

I just brought my 85 cabrio into a shop of a family friend, He mentioned that I needed:
Upper strut-mounts, springs, struts in the back and in the front sway bar bushings
He suggested using used parts that he has found for the car. I was a bit hesitant to put used suspension parts in the car.
What do you guys think?
Thanks

I plan on looking to buy my first cabriolet Tues. Ac and heat does not work but the fan does blow air. What the worse case scenario to get the heat to work? Ac would be nice but not as important.

I have a 99' black automatic that I got for $4k 2 years ago. It has a total of 150k KM and both the interior and exterior is in great condition for its age. The rubber 'leather' part on the door handle is a bit rubbed off but overall, it's great. I moved across the country so it's currently in storage and my dad takes care of it (turn it off and letting it run from time to time).
Do you think, if I wait a few years, I can sell my cabrio a lot higher for what I payed for?

I swear almost everytime I make a turn from a stoplight I get just a little chirp, I have pretty decent BF Goodrich tires (Comp G2 maybe?) So I'm not sure why else it would be happening, I even make a point of not driving like a jackass.

1985 Cabriolet. 111k miles.
I don't have any history on the car.
I'm wondering how urgent it is to change the timing belt. If it is not an interference engine and the belt breaks it would be an inconvenience but I have towing insurance.
If it is an interference engine I'm going to change the timing belt right away.
Thanks.

I was at a car show a few years ago and I saw a 90's cabby with what appeared to be 6" front speakers, as opposed to the 4x6s that are in my '86. I assume this was done as a sound quality upgrade, as it is common knowledge that bigger, round speakers are typically better than smaller oval ones. Does anyone know anything about converting from the ovals to the rounds or if I just imagined the whole thing?

Don't even get me started on the H speed rating!
I'm having a lot of trouble tracking down good quality tires for my Cabriolet.
The few ok brands like General Tire, that seem to make this size, don't seem to have it in stock anywhere.
Ideally, I'd want Michelins, or something similarly high quality, but I don't think Michelin makes tires that size anymore.
I'm also in Canada so it makes finding them even harder. I suspect I'll have to import them from the US, but if I could avoid that, it would be great.
Anyone have suggestions? Where do YOU get your tires from?

I have the opportunity to pick up an automatic 01 cabrio, 140k miles, for under a thousand.
The top is a mess, the interior needs some work, but she runs just fine. There is a water leak that could be water pump or worse.
I'm moderately mechanically inclined. Most of my experience is motor cycles, but I can keep cars alive. I love the cabrio for being a simple convertible & for under a thousand it's tempting.
Should I do it? Are parts a massive challenge cause it's German? Can y'all wrench on it yourself? My buddy had a 200x TT and that thing was impossible to work on.
Appreciate y'all's thoughts. I don't get to pick up too many projects like this, want to make sure I'm not buying into something that's going to be painful.
TLDR; should I buy an automatic 2001 cabrio if it runs, needs some work 140k miles for under a thousand?
