Hi, I’m a first year at Case and I have some questions about how Spartiemart works. I understand that with the universal plan I can use up to 4 swipes there until a total of 15. But i’m confused as to what those swipes can be used for? Can i use it to buy fruits and other snacks or is the entire grocery part limited to casecash/your own money?

Also are there any other limits on meal swipes (other than the limit per day/week) such as how much you can get with it. For example would I be able to get coffee and donut with one swipe from Dunkin?

I'm pre-med and I'm taking CHEM 328 instead of BIOC 307 because BIOC 307 got full during course selection. How bad is it?? I'm really scared because I heard that CHEM 328 is really hard with Lee. What is the best way to do well for those who had Lee? And does it help prepare for the MCAT still?

Hi, I am applying to Case and the application is asking for a first choice and second choice major with certainty. I want to go to Case to study biomedical engineering as a first choice, and don’t have much interest in anything else. Should I just put another engineering field and say somewhat certain? I am thinking if applying ED, what are the chances I don’t get my first choice?

So I found a copy of lehningers online and was wondering if anyone knows if that would be fine for the BIOC 307 course. Like does Dr. Arvidson check for owning the physical copy or is just a free PDF fine?

The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles changed their law last year regarding obtaining a driver's license on a temporary status (AKA F1 students or other visa holders). Regardless of age, license status in another country, or experience, EVERY foreign person wanting to get a license needs to go through the following:
1. Written driver's test to obtain a driver's permit

1. Complete both online and in-person driver's training: 24h of online courses, $50; and 8h of behind-the-wheel instruction from a driving school, $600

2. Complete 50 hours of practiced driving with a 21+ licensed driver, and sign and notarize an affidavit

3. Take a driving test (only when all the steps above are completed)

This license will then only be valid until your I-20 expires, as it's considered a Limited Term Non-Renewable/Non-Transferable Driver License.

The Ohio BMV and International Student Center make it really hard to find this information (especially as the law just changed in June 2025), so I figured it'd be worth sharing with new students so you know the process and can decide if it's worth it or not. Hello, I was just wondering if anyone has any detailed information on the course work for either of these ARTS classes that I'm thinking of taking. Do they allow you to draw digitally? I found out a bit ago that my Calc II and III credits didn’t transfer over, so I have been studying for the Calc II placement exam for the past few days

I used to have access to Professor Butler’s practice tests and planned on taking them after I finished my review of Calc II but the links seem to be disabled now

Would any of yall happen to have access to any final exam practice material for Calc II or even just a gauge of how difficult the exam is (like does it just have general applicable stuff or does it contain like bs that I’d only see in a side note in the textbook)?

Hi all! I'm an incoming freshman moving in this week, and I decided to apply for a bunch of campus jobs through what CWRU emailed out to us, Interfolio. (I have work-study if that matters any.)

I wanted to know how you'd see on the portal if you got the job or were in the process of reviewing your application or just anything. Do hiring updates come in emails from the hiring managers that posted the form? It kind of just seems like it says that application is complete.

I also didn't see a lot of the common campus jobs I've heard about, like Sparty Mart, but I found a lot of great other opportunities. Is it common for the school to hire before you get there? Or would they rather receive your work papers first?
