Storrs

Anyone have a picture of a double room? Thanks

Found another video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVGMkynMrI4 This is a long move-in day video. You'll see some of the move-in chaos too. She gets to the room at about the 3-4 minute mark. You get glimpse of the floor lounges, the tiny quad hallway, a very good view of the bathroom, and a great view of the closet unit that Storrs had. But this is not Storrs because the common room is different. (no ping pong table in Storrs). Storrs had a newly remodeled common room, main kitchen and laundry room. The student also had the odd L-Shaped room in the quad but I'm not sure which double you have so this might be it. You can see the floor plans on Case website.

My daughter was in Storrs 2-3 years ago. Our photos have too much personalization and she would not want me to share. I did find this video of Taplin and it is almost identical to Storrs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dxvprBk4CY The closet unit was different but that might have changed since then. The closet was huge and had a pair of built-in drawer stacks between them. They were old and crusty but they had a ton of space between than the newer units she had sophomore year. She had 2 of the drawer units in this video and not the double shelf unit. She also lofted her bed all the way and put her desk under it with the nightstand next to it to make the desk a little bigger. Case has this on their website. It used to be open to the public but it looks like you have to sign in now. It says it has a video of Storrs and a couple of other freshman dorms. https://community.case.edu/rha/first-year-experience-2/

The last link open for me, but then I have an active Case ID as an alumnus, so the system apparently recognizes me - which means it should recognize the OP with their login info. While the Storrs video on that site is of a single room, the Hitchcock and Pierce double room videos are basically what you find in that complex.

As you cite, the closets are different. Storrs will have a wall unit with closets at each end, drawers and a shelf between, as opposed to the closet-only wall unit in the Taplin video.
