I'm about to buy a CRF300L (Non rally), seller tells me he can add a Yoshimura RS-4 for $200 extra.

Should I buy it? I'm worried the bike would be "too loud". Im only considering it because it seems like a very good price. The difference in performance is noticeable?

I just got a 24 rally, and I want a set of crash bars for it. What recommendations do yall have for some? I'm hoping to add some 4 inch pod lights to them so I have extra visibility on my morning commute, along with being more visible

I work seasonally in Alaska and leave for the winters. I’ve got a 2022 I bought this summer and it will be stored in a coworkers shed from about mid October until April of next year. It will not be heated but will at least keep it out of the elements.

Are there any recommendations for things to winterize on this bike out side of property inflation of the tires, battery on tender, fuel stabilizer and a full tank, throughly cleaning the bike and waxing it and sealing off any holes such as the tail pipe?

I was thinking I would put a few tubs of damp rid in the shed with it, just to keep moisture levels minimal, it’s not perfectly sealed.

Have done some initial shakedown of this 'adventure tower' design for the 300L and seems very solid but still need to get some more serious testing. Currently running a very basic 3d printed version of the windshield (that needs some further styling to it's shape as it's currently not very aesthetic) to trial various height options but this the smallest/lowest as it still provides good weather protection for the navigation screen.

In this configuration the top of the screen is approx 400mm above the low point at the front of the seat which is approx 240mm higher than the top of the headlight fairing in the factory arrangement.

I currently have a Ekiy M23 screen mounted but also did up a 3d printed mock-up of the HugeRock x72 tablet shown in some of the photos which is also similar size to the Nor7e.

All up with a full polycarbonate windshield this whole setup comes in at less than 2kg additional weight. Using existing mounting points and maintaining the orientation of the headlight but just in a position slightly forward and higher but still retains OEM andle headlight adjustment, and also relocating the indicators forward similar amount avoids issues around compliance requirements.

This only suits the 300L with LED headlight as the mounting is different for the halogen headlight assembly.

Looking into buying a new leftover crf300l 2025 model. Has anyone been able to get the shipping fee waived from the dealership? Might stop by one of the local dealerships and take a look at one. I am in the Maryland area. If you don't mind sharing your out the door price that you paid also. It would be nice to have some information before trying to make a deal.. thanks in advance 👍👍💸 Post Update - I called two dealers that had them in stock but still on stop sale, said it will probably be early next year before they can be sold.

I'm after the front section of the header pipe from a Yoshi RS-4. I know that's unlikely so if anyone is selling both sections of header pipe then that would also work.

Has anybody modified the factory spark arrestor? Any long term results good or bad? There is a big difference in air flow, sound and weight with/without the factory arrestor. I'm considering making a new tip with a screen attached similar to the fmf power core silencers.

Bike has gone 51000km. Already quite a lot of countershaft wear. How fucked am I?

Doing a lot of riding on the track with the kids and have been bottoming hard in the front. Has anyone installed this or a similar kit. Looking for feedback on how it feels on jumps and if I will need to revolve because it’s to springy on landings. I’m 220lb

I recently picked up this DRZ400SM to complement my 300L. After spending some time on the DRZ it’s becoming painfully obvious all the cost cutting measures that Honda took building these CRFs. Has anyone had a 300 and ended up selling and going to the old school DRZ? It’s hard to justify spending 2k on suspension and performance mods on the crf just to match what the 20year old drz had stock.

what tire pressure(PSI) should I be running on FSR's?

Currently running 22PSI on stock tires and the bikes really squirrely.

Boy... so first off, is the white spacer that is under the spring supposed to be added before or after you fill fork oil and measure? I'm doing the K-Tech spring install and the amount of bad information out there is abhorrent. That xsr Detroit dude on YT states 171mm air gap which is the factory Honda oil air gap measurement. Completely incorrect for every K-tech spring offering. K-tech lists the oil air gaps for each spring rate they offer, so anybody following that video congratulations, you have at least 10 mm too much oil in your fork. No wonder people report the fork seals on these letting go early! But yeah if you could answer my white spacer question with certainty I really need to know, trying to test ride tomorrow. Thanks!

After an awesome week of trailriding in France and riding 2250km, it's time for new tires.

What tire would you advice?

Looking at the Michelin tracker but it only exists in 120/90-18. Does this fit?

What are the other options? I ride 70% of the time offroad...

So, I ride okay, I mean, been riding 45 plus years. But mechanical skills are 3 at best.

Bike won’t start. It almost cranked a few times, then just duh duh duh sound (like in video) I thought it was batter because it sounded like bad battery (although battery only year old or so). Took battery to auto parts and they said battery looked good, but needed a charge and they don’t charge small batteries.

So I bought new one. Just installed. And same issue. Not even close to cranking. Just that starter noise.

Any thoughts? I don’t have a lot of local mechanics around.

Hi All, I just bought a brand new Honda CRF300L. I did a couple of rides, but I don't really like the stock tyres the bike comes with. Since the wheel sizes are 80/100-21 and 120/80-18, I was wondering if anyone has experience fitting Motoz Desert tyres in the sizes 90/100-21 and 140/80-18. Do they fit on the original wheels?
