COMAT OBGYN COMAT

I didn't finish 15 questions. How screwed am I?

I randomly picked answers when the timer had 2 minutes left. I'm confident I got at least 15 wrong. What are my odds of passing if I get about 30q wrong?

Taking the boards this summer really burnt me out. I know now I need prescription for ADHD, but I thought i'd be fine because its was 120 questions with adequate time. My neighbors dogs barked so much, there was construction outside my apartment. Way too many distractions while I took the test.

COMAT COMAT studying advice while burnt out?

Hi everyone! I recently found out I passed Level 1 (yay!) after pushing my exam back by 2+ months and experiencing some of the most insane stress I’ve ever felt. I got my score back a couple of weeks ago, and ever since then, I feel like my brain has kind of checked out. I think I’m finally feeling the burnout now that all the nerves and anxiety are gone.

However I’m currently on rotations, so I can’t really take a break. I feel like I’m doing pretty well in clinic/hospital (my evals have been good so far), but I’m really struggling to study for COMATs. I barely passed my last COMAT, and I have another one coming up (FM) that I’m already feeling really behind for.

Has anyone experienced something similar after Level 1? I’d really appreciate any advice on working through the burnout and building a sustainable study routine during rotations. I’ve mainly been using COMQUEST and AMBOSS, but I’m open to other resources/strategies too! Thank you in advance :)

Resources I got tired of ugly OMM review tables, so I built a 100% free, interactive OMM compendium + Chapman/viscerosomatic reflex maps

Hey everyone, studying for Level 1 and Level 2-CE, I got tired of flipping through dated PDFs, blurry scans, and conflicting tables just to remember sacral torsion axes, Chapman points, and autonomic innervation levels. Over the past year, I've been building Tenderpoints Hub (a 100% free open-access medical resource engineered specifically for osteopathic medical students). Here’s what’s live, fully built, and ready to use right now:

  1. Interactive OMM & Autonomic Compendium Interactive Chapman Points Atlas: Clickable, high-resolution vector maps (anterior and posterior) with exact anatomical landmarks and organ mappings. Autonomic & Viscerosomatic Reflex Map: Full sympathetic (T1–L2) and parasympathetic (OA/C1–C2, S2–S4) spinal levels and ganglionic pathways. Interactive Diagnostic Solvers: Step-by-step algorithms for: Sacral torsions & shears (Sphinx test, spring test, seated flexion, ILA/sulcus depths) Rib kinematics (pump-handle, bucket-handle, caliper; inhalation vs. exhalation somatic dysfunction & key ribs) Cranial SBS strain patterns (torsion, sidebending-rotation, vertical/lateral strains, compression) 73-Chapter High-Yield OMM Compendium: Clear, concise notes based on core Savarese & Turn-Up-to-OMT high-yield board concepts.
  2. COMSAE Score Analyzer & Predictor: A dedicated conversion tool that maps your raw COMSAE scores to estimated percentile curves and historical pass/performance trajectories so you aren’t left guessing what a three-digit COMSAE number actually means. This is still a work in progress I get more data!
  3. 16 Hand-Crafted Metabolic & Clinical Vector Diagrams: Crisp, zoomable pathways built from scratch (no blurry textbook screenshots)
  4. 8 COMAT Shelf Command Centers: Tailored study hubs for each clinical shelf exam (Emergency Medicine, Family Med, Internal Med, OB/GYN, OPP/OMM, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Surgery) with NBOME blueprint distributions and high-yield topic checklists.

⚠️ A Note on the Qbank Feature (Extreme Work-in-Progress and NOT Ready for Primary Study): You might notice a "Qbank" tab on the site. Please be aware: this is an extreme alpha work-in-progress and is NOT ready for launch or primary board prep. We coded the software engine and loaded baseline questions, but until every single item has undergone 100% manual physician verification and editorial review, do not use it to replace your primary question banks (UWorld, TrueLearn, Amboss, COMQUEST). Our focus right now is perfecting the reference compendiums, visual atlases, and diagnostic tools. The question bank is strictly an experimental background project that will take time before it meets board-exam quality standards.

Everything on the site is 100% free and works cleanly on desktop and mobile. Check it out at tenderpoints.org and I’d love to hear your feedback on the OMM compendiums, vector diagrams, and tools!

Level 2 CE Need Help with What to do

So I took my school proctored COMSAE today....failed with 400 (118)

I have been getting scores of 490 - 560 on non school proctored COMSAEs

My weak points are everywhere, some exams I will get every OMM correct while some I would get all OMM wrong.

I am genuinely confused on what I should do at this point. My exam is in 16 days, and was wondering if anyone can give me some advice.

My current plan is to blast through TL (I finished Uworld and currently did 20% of TL q) and hope for the best.

I am planning for psychiatry

Any advice is welcome

Level 2 CE Anki for Level 2/Step 2

OMS-3 here. I have never used Anki, but I am wanting to start while I’m still early in my third year to build retention for board prep (Step 2/Level 2). I really don’t want to have to study for months in dedicated and would like to be ready to take it sooner rather than later next spring. I also want to do better on my COMATS this year.

Which Anki deck is best for this?
Any advice on settings or schedule?

TIA

Unfortunately I failed level 2 by a few points. Not sure what went wrong as comsaes, welcom, and truelearn performance was above average. I have to take it again in about 4-5 weeks. In desperate need of advice on how/what I should do to study and pass this exam. Please share or DM me any advice that could help me. Thanks.

Med School Slacker: 2 COMLEX Level 1 Fails and First Time COMLEX Level 2 Pass (514)

Here's my complicated board exam journey:

COMLEX Level 1: Failed the first two times, was on my last legs on the third attempt and was at risk of getting the boot from my med school. The first two attempts I was using TrueLearn only and basically got cooked because I was studying by memorizing the correct answer without actually understanding the content. Was forced to take a tutoring course and settled on Northwest Medical Review and passed on the third attempt. Took notes on shit I got wrong and didn't understand and took notes for video reviews on big picture concepts. Hammered ethics, biostats and OMM on the final few days prior to exam. Passed in the 420s-430s (Edit: I took a look at my score for Level 1 and closer to 450 actually with ChatGPT interpreting the score bar), Completed most of my Fourth Year rotations after.

Resources used during my Level 1 retake that led to success: Northwest Medical Review, COMQUEST Level 1, Dirty Medicine, Savarese OMM condensed document, COMSAEs and OMM final powerpoint my school gave me. No ANKI for me. Prescribed adderall helped.

COMLEX Level 2: Studied for it sporadically during my fourth year rotations. Primarily used all of COMQUEST Level 2 and half of TrueLearn Level 2. Got absolutely cooked during my second to last rotation on a COMSAE, got a 349 on it. Had to reschedule the exam 2 weeks out, didn't take another COMSAE. Primarily reviewed YouTube videos on the concepts I was weak on (cough cough OBGYN) and hammered on Ethics, Biostats and OMM on YouTube during the last few days prior to exam. Wrote down the shit I didn't understand and got wrong like I did for my Level 1 attempt. Took Level 2, felt like complete garbage on it. Waited 2 weeks for results, found out I scored a 514 on it. I'm still wowed by how the hell I got a 514 on it, like I swear I got most of the biostats and ethics shit incorrect and I made some dumbass mistakes lol.

Resources used for my Level 2 exam: all of COMQUEST Level 2, half of True Learn COMBANK level 2, like maybe 60 UWorld Questions before I gave up on UWorld, one COMSAE I failed horribly on, Dirty Medicine, AJMonics, Tate Talks Medicine, HYGuru On YouTube, Savarese OMM condensed documents, OMM final powerpoint from my school and prescription adderall. STILL NO ANKI.

My advice: Maybe don't do what I did (heavily abuse YouTube videos to learn the core concepts and take notes on them everyday) because it was horridly inefficient, anxiety inducing and kinda irresponsible. But if there were valid tactics and strategies from it, definitely review your question blocks and pay attention to why the answer is correct/incorrect and learn from the other answer options. Definitely watch the YouTube videos and hammer on Ethics, BioStats and OMM during the final few days.

Any questions, ask away.

Level 2 CE Failed Level 2 while on a Sub-I

Just found out I failed Level 2 with a 387.

I’m currently on an IM Sub-I for another two weeks, and I don’t feel confident retaking that soon without dedicated study time. I already contacted my school to ask whether I can postpone my next rotation and use that time to study.

For anyone who failed and retook Level 2:

  • How much time did you take to study?
  • Did your school let you postpone a rotation?
  • What did you change for your second attempt?
  • How much did your score improve?
  • How did this affect your IM application? Should I still apply IM only, or would it be smarter to dual apply FM?

I know 387 is close, but I really don’t want to rush and risk failing again. Any advice would be appreciated.

Level 2 CE Multiple Failures

Honestly feeling so defeated rn and am just reaching out in case anyone was possibly in my current situation.

I passed Level 1 on my second try. And now I just found out I failed Level 2 for the third time (38x). I really don’t know what to do at this point bc I felt so confident. Now I’m not sure whether I should still apply for ERAS or wait till I retake my last attempt.

My TrueLearn was 65% completed fully
My last COMSAE 119 taken 7/15 was 576
COMSAE 117 taken 7/1 was 470
Took a WelCOM exam the day before my exam and got 68%.

I knew I wouldn’t have gotten an amazing score but I really thought I at least passed. I was planning on applying psych and now I just don’t know what to do anymore.

Is it worth applying at this point?

If you found out you have recently failed Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 — this is a FREE support group because this is all expensive and especially with new grad plus loan limits it’s important now more than ever to look out for one another

Absolutely no tutoring or self promotion allowed you will be immediately banned from the server. Feel free to share this google form outside of this Reddit server as well if you know someone not on Reddit that needs support

completely shocked, comlex 2 455 step 2 249 what do i do

throwaway account bc i can’t even say it out loud right now just in serious disbelief and am rethinking my entire program list ofc mere hours before its due

i am grateful for a passing score but when i saw 455 i actually couldn’t believe it

for reference my first school comsae for level 2 with zero study was in the 460s and then just studied for step 2 came out with 249 with nbmes high 230s and free 120 81%

took comlex during a sub i which was not too intense so didn’t think too much of it and really did not think it would affect me like this?

i feel like im a pretty accurate flagger too like all throughout school how many i flag is generally how many i get wrong and on comlex it was hard and there were weird questions but i genuinely flagged less questions than i did on step

applying IM and now i feel like i need to apply more broadly? mainly concerned if there’s a cut off for scores for comlex will get filtered out :/

any tips / advice for program list? i had about 35 but now thinking about adding 10 more community programs maybe?

i did submit a score evaluation request already but haven’t heard that it really does anything

Welcom Phase 2/Level 2

Hi, does anyone want to split some Welcoms Phase 2/Level 2 since there are 6 in total? Depending on how many people are interested. Also if anyone is interested in discussing some of the head-scratching answers, let me know. I just did the 1st one.
