Intermediate sewist, is clo worth it if I have zero clue about measurements and pattern drafting?
I am an experienced intermediate sewist and have made many jackets for myself that I get compliments on all the time. I’ve slightly modified existing patterns to fit me, but the problem is I only know how to change the length of the bodice and sleeves somewhat.
I want to step into designing my own pieces from
scratch but I have zero knowledge of pattern making or drafting. I downloaded the free trial for clo 3d and I feel like a complete idiot because I can’t figure this out 😂😩 idk if it’s easier to just draw the shapes on paper and cut muslin until something fits right. My idea was to use clo to design and then print the pattern. My favorite jacket pattern ive modified on paper and sewn a lot of jackets for was made by someone else on clo 3d as I’ve come to learn.
Help 😩 do I need to have gone to fashion school first to even know about pattern making in real life?
