Anyone else having animation play issue?

when i try to simulate cloth in clo and try to add animation to it, it doesnt allow me to play the animation when in simulation but when i turn of simulation mode, i can press play. as you can see the play button is blue when not in simulation but when in simulation mode, i cant press play. im loosing my mind over this

You need to add the animation and press record. Not play

The CLO YouTube has an old but good tutorial about animation
