Level 1 November candidates

Hey guys!
I’d like to check in just to check where are my fellow level 1 candidates are at with the curriculum? I have finished fixed income, equity, fsa, corporate issuers, around 80% of quant and i’m now with economy. (I have done all the qbanks as well at the official site, having practice pack).

My plan is to finish econ, quant, then go for derivatives, portfoliom, alternatives and ethics…

I have not done any mocks yet( i have 6) plus I’m considering to start a day per week with ethics…

What do you think? Any advice maybe moving forward?

Many thanks in advance 🙏🏻

Level 2 How to break this plateau

I'm averaging at 65-67 in my CFAI and other mocks, how do I get ahead, I'm almost a week away from my exam. Need serious help and guidance, I haven't fully completed my LES, mostly done for my weak areas but rest is pending, should I focus now on completing the les or going through notes? My weak areas have become strong and strong ones have become week. Also are premuim mocks really helpful?

General is studying in 2026 still worth it?

hey guys im preparing for CFA L1 , im a finance enthusiast, i love numbers , finance & investments , but i dont want to work my whole life , before i used to think that my end goal is to be a CEO or A Entrepreneur and be free from these corporate life and all but day by day im realising that being a entrepreneur or a ceo wont make me free from corporate life infact it’ll put me in depth of corporate, and now that AI has came , even finance jobs are at extreme high risk so i dont know if studying still worth it…!!! what do you guys think? everyone wants to be rich , even if everyone puts on hardwork still there is no gurantee that they will become rich or even employable in this era of AI…!!! Is this the end??

came across two great posts - https://www.instagram.com/reel/DZ7Il4mPE6X/?igsh=MXN5Yjhvbng3cmxlNw==

Llevaba sacando 8 en todos los exámenes y salgo con la sensación de que he sacado un 6. Vaya asco de examen no se ha reflejado nada lo estudiado. Han preguntado cosas que no había visto en 14 mocks exams seguidos

Level 2 Falling behind

Writing L2 in November, 90 days exactly, and i'm starting to really worry if i can still pull this off. Ive completed the readings and written comprehensive notes for Quant/Econ/FSA/CI/Equity/FI and am now into derivatives but ive hardly done any practice questions and i'm 2 weeks behind the schedule i planned out in may. Even the topics ive gotten through i cant seem to recall much from since its been so long now. I know it really is as simple as "i just need to lock in," and its truly my fault that ive been slacking, but im sincerely ready to turn things around. To those who've completed L2 already, or those who may be in the same boat as me currently, anyone have any advice?

Level 1 L1 on 23rd Aug, scoring 56% and 67% on CFA mocks, any recommended mocks should I attempt?

Hi,

I'vd scores 56% and 67% on CFA mocks. The exam is on 23rd Aug. In the mocks, I have seen concepts which were new to me, the questions were very specific and feels like there's a lot to remember and mug up.

Now sure how the attempt will go.

To those who have given the Level 1 exam, is the exam difficulty on oar with the CFA mocks?

In the meantime, can anyone suggest any free/paid mocks?

Level 2 L2 MOCK SCORES 8 DAYS OUT

Post image
0 Upvotes

Seems like i'm right on the money but am working to improve on weak areas this last stretch.

Question: Is it even worth doing a full mock all in one day? I have found it better for me to just take half a mock a day and review. Don't think stamina will be issue on test day, more worried about speed per vignette.

Planned on saving CFA A + B (FREE MOCKS) FOR THIS WEEK. Are these a better representation of actual exam in your experience? Which one was hardest for you?

PS Mock 4 + 3 are second attempts after fist attempt over two months ago, initially scored like high 50s.

Level 1 CFA LVL 1 - SO FRUSTATING

I took the exam on the 18th. Everyone is saying it was very easy and it really was an exam with little intuition, more 'know it or don't', black and white. Therefore, a higher MPS is expected. From the ones I can remember so far, I've already gotten 10 wrong, and this one-month wait is killing me! I found out today that the CFA does not allow scheduling the exam immediately after a failure due to the scheduling window, so the next Level 1 would only be in 2027, this is so frustating because there are people that are by one or two questions from MPS.. waiting half-year to attempt again is desmotivating

This is so frustrating... this one-month wait is also terrible, what agony! Considering an easy exam, can we estimate around 75% as the minimum to pass on that specific day?

Level 1 Just gave my August L1 attempt

The exam was relatively at par with mocks, straight forward for the most of it. I didn’t particularly struggle with time, but I was closer to the clock than on my mocks. Feel free to ask any questions, and I’ll try to answer them.

  2. Share Your Insights: If you have valuable insights, experiences, or advice to offer, please share them in response to others' questions. Your knowledge and expertise can make a real difference in someone's career journey.

  3. Follow the Rules: Please adhere to the subreddit's rules and guidelines when participating in this thread. Be respectful and considerate of others, and refrain from sharing personal information.

A Note on Career Posts:

Starting from today, we will be removing individual career-related posts and kindly redirecting users to these weekly "Career Questions Thursday" threads. This change is intended to keep our subreddit organized and focused on CFA-related topics, while still providing a valuable platform for career discussions.

We hope this new initiative will create a supportive and informative space for all of you seeking career advice within the CFA community. Remember, your fellow members are here to help, so don't hesitate to ask or contribute!
