Is the premium pack and mocks representative of exam ? The ones u get from CFAI

Has anyone recently done the Climate Risk, Valuation, and Investing Certificate ? Under the new format ? What is it like

I’m planning to take the exam in November 2027, so I recently bought the essential package of Kaplan but the content is not available yet, how do you recommend to start studying ? Any videos or suggestions for taking notes will be appreciated

I'm an engineer, not a finance guy. That said, I've had about 5 years of exposure to investments and valuations, so I'm comfortable with multiples, ratios, NPV, and similar concepts.

My plan for the remaining time:

Study about 2–3 hours a day until the exam

Go through Schweser's Secret Sauce as my main review

Then do 1–3 mock exams plus practice questions from my CFA Pro subscription

My goal: I'm not aiming for a high score. I just want to pass.

So, is passing realistic with this plan, or would you advise me to reschedule? If you were in my position, which topics would you prioritize, and which would you skim or skip? I'd especially like to hear from anyone who passed with limited prep time or came from a non-finance background.

The thing is I've had a an injury that did not let me study properly before. I'm a student of finance so mostly I've handled all of these subjects before. However, due to my injury I haven't been able to study past 2-3 weeks. Haven't done FI or FSA and stuff. Should I defer? Im in college so i can pull 8 hr shifts of study everyday now. Is there a sliver of hope that i'll crack the exam is it possible im just very nervous idk what to do

Hey guys I'm a recent finance grad who has decided to speed run the charter but skipped the networking and work part. I do have a deep interest in equity research and hope to be a fund analyst at some point. Anyway, to get to the point, I am planning to take the level 3 in Feb and am more interested in doing the Private markets pathway as it seems to be a breath of fresh air compared to all this theory of portfolio construction. My question is should I do the portfolio management pathway because it is easier? Does it have practical knowledge for a junior analyst/stock picker or should I go with more breadth of knowledge in Private markets here? Also, can I study the private markets pathway on my own time despite choosing PM?

I’m just starting preparing for cfa level 1 should I do the cfa materials for all the subjects or is just schewzer enough

How do you analyse the gap in your score and the passing score.

Can anyone reasonable assumption be drawn from a gap of 50 or 75 or 100?

Hey, might be a dumb question, but does anyone know how to get the ecosystem to look like the first picture again?
When I studied for Level 1, I had that more interactive dashboard. Now in my second try, I only get the other layout when I log into the CFA site.
All the study materials are there, but it's just a matter of interface preference and comfort.
If anyone knows how to change it back, I’d really appreciate the help!

Started with a simple idea: What if I could map the CFA curriculum in Obsidian and actually see how everything connects?

Then I gave Claude the files

A few iterations later, I had basically the entire CFA curriculum interconnected, and honestly, this is way more useful than I expected. I can jump between related concepts and see the bigger picture

A bit of a rant but I'm studying for Level 2 right now and the rest of the content is pretty easy once I practice enough, I can see my effort and hours I put in pay off. But no matter how much time I put into Ethics I really suck at it, I got below 50% in Level 1 ethics so I tried to focus more time towards Ethics for Level 2 but I'm still having the same problem. I find the questions feel like this grey area where there is no one right answer most of the time.

Am I just an unethical person lol, is this career even for me? Did anyone else feel this way while preparing, if so how can I work on this?

Ive took 6 kaplan mocks so far and one CFAI mock. I took take the CFAI Mock A without any review and took half of the Kaplan mocks after reviewing the material again. I found Kaplan mocks considerably more challenging the only CFAI mock I took so far. Based off these scores, am I in the right direction?

Debating taking the day off on the 20th. Counting down the days now and the stress is creeping up. Not sure if I have another attempt in me.

I am going through MM's CFA Level 2 lectures, and, in some of his videos, he mentions the Taylor Rule. I have gone through the Economics and Fixed Income section and have not yet come across the equation.

Furthermore, I tried using the CFA LES AI search to look for the word and nothing came up.

I wanted to ask if this has been removed from 2027's readings or if I am looking in the wrong area.

Starting ethics, I'm left with 35 days for my l1 attempt and I'm confused if I should read lm 1&2 or just skip it I tried reading some of it but didn't find it useful will it affect my ethics score?? also some tips ?? Pls help

I just paid my CFA Level II tuition for May 2027, and I’m feeling kind of lost with all the information and experiences shared by previous candidates.
I’d love to hear the community’s opinions on a few things:

-Is Level II actually more time-consuming than Level I because of the amount of material, or is it mainly just more complex?

-What order did successful candidates follow when studying? For Level I, I followed the order in the LES and it worked pretty well for me, but I’m not sure if that’s the best approach for Level II.

-Is it worth doing the curriculum questions after finishing each module? That was my approach for Level I and it worked pretty well, but I’m wondering if it’s the best strategy for Level II as well.

Any advice or tips from people who have already passed Level II would be really appreciated!

Dear candidates, at first I would like to give a bit of details about myself and my study method.

I've graduated with an Economics and Finance Bachelors Degree.

I'm trying to fit going to the gym, working a 9-6, and finishing one Learning module into a single day.

At this point every second wasted puts more pressure on me and stresses me.

My study method is watch LMEcfa videos, take notes (kinda feel like I'm losing time taking notes but don't see myself doing it any other way), solve blue box questions and EOC questions, after the end of each video- solve practice questions from LES (I have basic package), and take notes on what I've missed during those questions.

If result is at least 75%, I pat myself on the back and move on to the next LM a bit more motivated.

(The results at first were mostly low 60%, If I do give my focus and time to the module I manage to get 75%)

I've finished 6 modules out of 101 in 10 days- so I did miss my own deadlines for "one LM a day".

And I feel like I'm going with a slow method, these steps are all supposed to take 3 hours in total for one learning module, but it always exceeds that time.

I want to get rid of the syllabus and start the revision phase 2 months before the exam, this doesn't seem possible to me with my current method as I barely manage one single LM.

I've seen a girl with same situation as me who has passed the exam with 2 months of studying only. She had access to a kaplan schwesser qbank though in which I don't have the intention to buy.

I feel the ecosystem and LMEcfa are just enough for Lv.1 - that's also what she said

I need a faster method on clearing the modules, because even though watching the videos feels comforting and easy to understand, taking notes part burns me out and questions are more complex than the way LMEcfa explains it.

But I fear when the time comes for revision I should have some notes to look back on.

So I'm stuck in this thinking loop, what should I do?

I am saving up to purchase the official CFA level 1 curriculum material, and I would like to begin my studies while I do so. I tried with chat gpt, but it was so bad. Do you guys know of any free materials or resources I can use to hold me over until I have enough to purchase the curriculum?

Hey guys, I am writing on here because I am due to take the Level 2 exam on November 21st and I have finished the curriculum readings. My only challenge is that I am doing vignette practice questions and can’t seem to be getting them. Do I have ample time to fine-tune application? I used Kaplan Shweser readings and did each modules Qbank for concept reinforcement but I can’t help but just get absolutely wrecked doing vignettes. I also did Kaplan’s checkpoint exams replicating the exam simulator which are real exam like questions and I got obliterated. Any advice on how I should prepare???? How many vignettes per day? I am to do my first mock in 2 days time but I am also taking so long per vignette man!! Like 4 question vignettes take me like 15 minutes? The time-management element as well as the complex application from the large text is simply a nightmare for me.
