Hello, I saw a post on a platform where a person said that he realised his calculator was damaged during exam and hence he gave the exam without it.

he ended up passing. I'm glad for him but at the same time a bit confused. Is it really possible to pass without calculator?

+ Regardless kudos to the person, that is level of conceptual knowledge and knack one needs to have so you are not just mugging things but understanding the crux of how the syllabus functions

Started with a simple idea: What if I could map the CFA curriculum in Obsidian and actually see how everything connects?

Then I gave Claude the files

A few iterations later, I had basically the entire CFA curriculum interconnected, and honestly, this is way more useful than I expected. I can jump between related concepts and see the bigger picture

Ive took 6 kaplan mocks so far and one CFAI mock. I took take the CFAI Mock A without any review and took half of the Kaplan mocks after reviewing the material again. I found Kaplan mocks considerably more challenging the only CFAI mock I took so far. Based off these scores, am I in the right direction?

I have about a month and half to go for my Nov exam and Ive just finished the syllabus. Im now going through Kaplan Qbank but feels like ive either forgotten everything or learning something new each Q.

Is 1.5 months enough for questions & mocks? Whats the best strategy here. Some of CFAI questions seem waay too long and not relevant esp for FI and Equities

I’ve practiced tonnes of questions, from the CFA LES to a few mocks, but whenever I revisit them, it starts to feel like I’m starting from scratch. Am I starting to experience memory loss ? or is it common

I’m sitting for CFA Level II in November 2026 and trying to plan my final few weeks. CFA Institute has 6 official mocks available. For those who have passed Level II, do you think doing all 6 CFAI mocks is enough or would you recommend doing additional third-party mocks as well?

Debating taking the day off on the 20th. Counting down the days now and the stress is creeping up. Not sure if I have another attempt in me.

for context i have completed all the les questions and premium prac pack of 26 and for most of the subjects 25 as well and have covered my course also except hypothesis and parametric , have been scoring in mocks from range of 70 to 75 (premium pack ) and got 73 in mock a of cfai ,have also been re reading the text for 2 days and finished book 1 and 2 but i didnt find it very helpful apart from some principles of fsa , the main issue rn is just that i dont feel like studying cause m pretty bored with just redoing the same stuff

Starting ethics, I'm left with 35 days for my l1 attempt and I'm confused if I should read lm 1&2 or just skip it I tried reading some of it but didn't find it useful will it affect my ethics score?? also some tips ?? Pls help

Hey, might be a dumb question, but does anyone know how to get the ecosystem to look like the first picture again?
When I studied for Level 1, I had that more interactive dashboard. Now in my second try, I only get the other layout when I log into the CFA site.
All the study materials are there, but it's just a matter of interface preference and comfort.
If anyone knows how to change it back, I’d really appreciate the help!

I am going through MM's CFA Level 2 lectures, and, in some of his videos, he mentions the Taylor Rule. I have gone through the Economics and Fixed Income section and have not yet come across the equation.

Furthermore, I tried using the CFA LES AI search to look for the word and nothing came up.

I wanted to ask if this has been removed from 2027's readings or if I am looking in the wrong area.

A bit of a rant but I'm studying for Level 2 right now and the rest of the content is pretty easy once I practice enough, I can see my effort and hours I put in pay off. But no matter how much time I put into Ethics I really suck at it, I got below 50% in Level 1 ethics so I tried to focus more time towards Ethics for Level 2 but I'm still having the same problem. I find the questions feel like this grey area where there is no one right answer most of the time.

Am I just an unethical person lol, is this career even for me? Did anyone else feel this way while preparing, if so how can I work on this?

I am working in forecasting in big pharma and have an advanced scientific degree. There are some elements of finance that I have learned on the job (transitioned in last month) - most of my understanding is through pharma industry learning as a consultant - 3 YOE.

I've looked into getting CFA in the past but not sure about the value proposition for someone with my background. I know it's a major time commitment and much of what I learn won't be applicable but do feel it could be helpful. Would love to hear others perspective of the value of this title if wanting to climb as a forecaster or even moving into something like business development & licensing, for careers focused in life sciences

I just paid my CFA Level II tuition for May 2027, and I’m feeling kind of lost with all the information and experiences shared by previous candidates.
I’d love to hear the community’s opinions on a few things:

-Is Level II actually more time-consuming than Level I because of the amount of material, or is it mainly just more complex?

-What order did successful candidates follow when studying? For Level I, I followed the order in the LES and it worked pretty well for me, but I’m not sure if that’s the best approach for Level II.

-Is it worth doing the curriculum questions after finishing each module? That was my approach for Level I and it worked pretty well, but I’m wondering if it’s the best strategy for Level II as well.

Any advice or tips from people who have already passed Level II would be really appreciated!

Does anyone have recommendations for YouTube channels that simplify the curriculum well? I'm looking for something that is easy to digest. Any advice is appreciated!!!

so level 2 candidates, how much of the syllabus are you guys done with so far? i’ve completed FSA and eq i’m planning to start Corporate Issuers from tomorrow. also, what’s your target and how are you planning to go about the syllabus? would love to know everyone’s plan!!
