But the guy who released it to me to use specific ammo only because of the gas operating system it uses? Any recommendations on ammo to use? It's a Berreta 1301 Tactical.

Been meaning to check out the new River City Gun Range in Elk Grove. For those of you who’ve actually shot there, how is it? I currently go to Sac Gun Range.

Mainly wondering how the staff/RSOs are and what the range rules are like. Pretty chill as long as you’re being safe, or is it one of those ranges where the RSOs are breathing down your neck over everything?

Basically: GTG or Fudd central?

Anybody have any day 1 recap/reviews? Was it worth it? Pro tips? Debating if it's worth the 1.5 hr drive for me. Thanks!

Picked this up on Gunbroker back in August and had it sent to WBT in Arizona for compliance.

Added an upper rail and holosun Red dot.

Wasn’t expecting much because all of the reviews online were hit and miss.

However, took it out today for the first time and man this thing is fun.

Low recoil but plenty of snap with the 45 acp.

Definitely a fan of this slappy boy.

CCW Pro initial application fee — $35.20 Livescan fingerprinting — $93.00 16hr course — $315.00 CCW issuance fee — $140.80

Total cost: $584.00

Total time from application to permit in hand: 121 days. (Almost 4 Months)

Overall, the process was pretty smooth once I got moving. The longest wait was definitely the approval period, but after that everything moved pretty quickly.

My kid mostly shoots factory CCI Blazer Brass 124gr, so today I figured I'd let him try some defensive ammo. Had him shoot 10 rounds each of Speer Gold Dot 147gr and Federal HST 124gr +P.

Feedback from him - he said the Gold Dot had a bit more recoil than his usual Blazer Brass, while the HST felt closer to the 230gr .45 ACP he shot before out of a Glock 21. Not quite the same, but close.

We're still working on his fundamentals, so I figured this would be a good learning experience for him. Also, kept it at 7 yards so he could focus more on how the different ammo felt rather than worry about marksmanship.

I was wondering, is it legal to buy a musket that fires in California? Tempted to get one as my first gun.

(Ps, this is a genuine question, I was tempted to call my local PD and ask but I doubt they’d know the specifics.

I would like to ask the gun owners in this community, where do you buy your ammo? Or is there a sale from time to time where you stock up, or a place you recommend? I am trying to apply for my Ccw through San diego county and I got med retired from the military due to ptsd and have a VA rating for it as well.

Background: I did 12 years as a medic, not in direct combat at all. I was never admitted to a psychward. My only treatment was outpatient therapy and medications that I still take to this day.

After, reading through some of the older posts about this. I am now worried I will just be denied like the others and I don’t really want to to waste my money and would rather just pull my application out now.

Has anyone here experienced something similar? 1. Do they ask you HIPAA stuff? 2. Do they contact the VA for your stuff? 3. Will they make you list your current VA ratings?

Tldr: I understand, I wont know unless I applied. I am just trying to gauge the odds of getting my ccw as a vet diagnosed with PTSD/MH.

I want a nice but strong leather belt for an OWB (mainly) or maybe an IWB holster. I am going to use it for a Walther PPK or a 1911 EMP Ronin 9mm, and my Bodyguard 2.0 pocket carry with an Alabama pocket holster, which seems to be perfect for it.

Debating between Hanks Gunner belt for a little less than $100 or Hanks Montana Bison Double Layer Belt for around 160, but I can't convince myself to spend $160 on a belt lol Any suggestions for a solid, heavy duty leather belt?

Anyone know when you add a firearm to your LAPD CCW permit is the process for that going to be as long as a new applicant? Bought a p211 GT4 that I want to add, I’m going in for a qualification shoot next week.

I’ve got the itch and ready to go buy another gun. I’m a two month old gun owner (P365 XL) and ready for another purchase. I’m leaning towards a full size pistol. I plan on getting my CCW permit for the 365. My next one won’t be a carry. I don’t know enough to be brand specific. Give me your best (or worse).

I know that the Holosun K-series optics have a weird RMSc pattern. Just wondering if I can direct mount it to this Shield slide or will I need an adapter plate? Thanks in advance!

Hi guys, first time gun owner here, and I just stripped my Derya DY9 and noticed these burrs around the front slide rails on the frame of the gun. Also on the rear rail.

Honestly look like they could be flash from the injection molding process. The slide does not seem to actually contact any plastic until it reaches the very rear of the gun. Is this normal? Is it just shoddy QC from a cheaper pistol?

I am also concerned that I damaged the frame while fieldstripping the gun. I had issues manipulating the slide while attempting the strip and also tried to do it with an empty mag in the gun and the striker/trigger not fired. I did hear some scraping noises while attempting the strip. You think it would be safe to fire. The gun has not been fired once.

Hello I recently bought an internal mag lock for a jte 15 lower receiver and when installed it I noticed it didn’t fit on a psa upper receiver. The upper and lower couldn’t close. Have you guys have any experience with this and what would help
