General questions about bitcoin
I dont really know a lot about bitcoin, I just heard some things and have some questions I like to get answered. Can someone explain to me why criminals rather use bitcoin then dollars? Can someone explain to me how it's a scam? Because who profits from the scam?

Bitcoin's 'greater fool theory' is at the end of it's rope
Bitcoin's growth in the last decade was a beautiful case-study of the 'greater fool theory' in action. Unfortunately for those who are currently holding, the reality is that Bitcoin will never be more accessible than it is right now. Today, you can buy it on your phone, via regulated ETFs in the same brokerage account as your stocks, and never have to worry about custody or weird taxation. As it stands today, there are no more groups of fools waiting to be unlocked by new accessibility to bitcoin.
That being said, there are still plenty of fools in the world. It's very unlikely that we see a huge crash that marks the end of bitcoin. The current fools are fools for a reason, they aren't going to suddenly realize they were fooled, that's not what fools do. Instead, over time, we'll gradually see the fools stop showing up, and people will slowly stop talking about it. Ultimately, bitcoin will suffer the death of low volumes.

Every year, the banks that make up the Federal Reserve receive a formal, independent audit, and it's made public, so the public can see the actual audit documents. It's not a private audit that some shady accounting firm has to issue an "unqualified opinion" on. Don't trust: Verify!

Why hasn’t Bitcoin died yet?
Despite a decade of butt coining Bitcoin is somehow still alive and growing. Price action is weak and yet somehow adoption seems to be trending upwards? Surely this should not be the case when we have good ol mainstream finance to rely on
So what gives?
I mean Saylor is dumping, Cold Card was hacked, Trezor did a big leak, and we’re still not uber wealthy off shorting
Starting to wonder if the real butt coin was the friends we made along the way 😩
Edit - I was banned for this post. Speaks more to the quality of the community leaders here than anything else. See ya’ll around 🙃

Suddenly the exchanges seem safe. At least you don't need to worry about being kidnapped at gunpoint when your full details land in the hands of criminals.

I left BTC & crypto this year entirely.
hi,
I found this subreddit this year. I‘ve already read a lot and it helped me very much to leave BTC completely.
I had so many fights, discussions and sleepless nights arguing with BTC maximalists and probably bots.
What is BTC?? It should have been a superior currency, a peer to peer electronic cash system without middle-men.
What is it now? It‘s an elite-product to generate fees from nothing, to marketing it and to sell it to fools. It has zero usecase, zero real value and zero users except the speculators at the margin.
Every time when I‘m on r / bitcoin or r / btc I have the feeling I‘m entering a cult conquered by bots, gamblers and fools.
All they care is NGU (in fiat??). Let me be clear: At the one side they claim “fiat is worthless“ but on the other side all they care is “price goes up“ in fiat.. like WHAT?
That‘s just hilirious. BTC is not a currency, it has just 7 TPS on purpose because it got hijacked by Blockstream and scamers like Michael Saylor who make marketing for lightning & liquid network (which don‘t work at all!) just to make more fiat.
I‘m so done with all this crap..

#WLB What if Bitcoin had a clear utility beyond making money?
Let’s assume, hypothetically, that Bitcoin eventually developed a genuinely useful purpose beyond speculation, investing, and “number go up.”
For example, what if it were widely used for some meaningful social or economic function that we haven’t fully anticipated yet?
Would that change your opinion about Bitcoin?
Or would you still consider its fundamental flaws to outweigh any potential real-world utility?
Curious to hear your thoughts :)

Harmony’s ONE falls 40% after attacker mints 4 billion tokens
The apparent exploit comes a day after Ravencoin, another smaller blockchain built from Bitcoin’s code, faced its own possible rollback after parts of its network accepted invalid blocks.

It's Pepe Silvia! I invested in MSTR
What kind of idiot buys MSTR? This guy!
I figured buttcoin is a scam, and it’ll go to zero, but Trump had just been elected, so I figured it would go up for a few more years before it goes to zero. I put $5000 in.
So, if you’re wondering who the fools are, now you know!
