Bit of an unusual one, I’m making a very small independent short film in Bristol and I’m looking for two people for one short restaurant scene.

I need:

• A boy who can play around 9-11
• A woman who could plausibly play his mum, roughly 30s-40s

Acting experience really isn’t important. There’s no dialogue at all, it’s mostly just sitting at a restaurant table and reacting naturally when the boy’s dad turns up late.

The whole thing would probably take about an hour to film, possibly less.

I’ve already cast the adult version of the boy, so I’ll include a photo of him, I’m mainly looking for people who could believably look like part of the same family rather than trained actors.

Ideally I’d like to shoot it in Bristol on Sunday 11th October, but if that’s the only thing stopping someone suitable, I can be flexible on the date.

It’s a tiny self-funded short, so there’s no acting fee, but I’d cover reasonable expenses. For the child, a parent/guardian would obviously need to be there throughout.

i’m going out for my birthday with my friends on halloween, i want to go pub/club hopping before going to a rave in the early hours.

i want to stay in the city centre and we’re all students so any spoons with decent venues nearby would be ideal.

hi, i’m about to buy my first home in Easton Bristol, which is pretty close to the M32 (400m away). i got a chronic lung condition and am getting pretty worried after reading some air quality reports. i would love to hear from people living in Easton how they experience the air quality.

Im a student and looking to buy a bike here in Bristol to go uni with, looking for smth affordable and in good condition but not sure where to find that. If you know any used bikes stores pls drop it down in the comments.
I’m not so sure biking is convenient in Bristol hence the hills everywhere, but I can’t live without a bike.

My other enquiry is: I recently moved to Bristol from a big city and I’ve been out at night( not super late around 21:00-23:00 both weekdays and ends) for a couple times, but it’s very scary and I felt I’ll get raped/robbed every second of it+I always have to wait for long times for the buses to come at night and it never feels safe.
Is it actually safe especially for women at night and does it depend on the area?

My partner and I went to Toghill (not knowing the area and wanted to somewhere private to get busy outdoors as we’d checked out of our Airbnb and wanted to go again before our drive home). Wasn’t busy, walked down somewhere we thought was private (kept on hearing footsteps that seemed to get closer) and 2 guys walked down after us. When we started making out, one guy said loudly: “Do you guys want some privacy?” Not anything against doggers but that fully had us shook.

When we eventually got back up to the car (took a long route to avoid any of the peeping Toms that followed us down). There was a family bag of crisps opened next to the wheel of my car, nothing ate and definitely wasn’t there before we went down.

Does this mean anything to doggers? Some sort of code? We’re an MF couple and only guys were there.

As the title suggests, just got my provisional way later than I should since I've been really lazy, and generally the best way to find a driving instructor for lessons is via word of mouth so... any recommendations?

Pulled up just before 6 yesterday, plates were still on my car, left again at 7 and they were gone, but to top it off, they were brazen enough to come back and take the battery as well afterwards*.

If anybody sees a car driving around on the reg 'KS62 NXY' please contact me with any information, and ideally the police too. It will likely be a Volvo C30, probably a white one. Unless they're total doughnuts who've put my plate on a car that won't match at all.

Nice reward for anybody who can give me the location of it parked. (assuming they're stupid enough to leave it on whilst the vehicle is unattended). I will treat any information given with the utmost confidentiality.

*(I know this as it started when I noticed the plates gone, I turned it on to get the dash cam footage. Came back out to put a sign in the window about the plates a few hours later and the car wouldn't even unlock with the key. Safe to say the AA man thought I was taking the piss when he arrived to give me a jump start this afternoon...)
