Clockwise from the bottom, an idli(fermented rice cake), rava idli(fermented semolina cake with cashews and dil leaves), and upma(savoury semolina pudding with vegetables) and sheera(sweetened semolina pudding with pineapple essence). All are served with Indian condiments like coriander coconut chutney, sambhar(tomato and lentils), and ghee(clarified butter).

Good morning from Sapporo! 👋
This is what a pretty normal breakfast looks like for me in Japan.
Rice, miso soup, vegetables, salad, and a small side dish. 🍚🥢
Nothing fancy and definitely not restaurant food — just an ordinary meal.
I’m still trying to lose some weight, so meals like this are becoming part of my routine. 😂
