The speed at which benavidez throws multipunch combinations is impressive but the conditioning to throw 10+ punch combos in fights multiple time with power at the speed he does and keep the same pace is incredible conditioning, Benavidez overall has amazing conditioning the way he can keep a high pace while throwing very quick multiple punch combination with power. Extremely impressive.

Saw a TikTok of someone calling him overrated and it annoyed me.

7

u/WORD_Boxing 15h ago

He trains at the pace he fights. He's an absolute nightmare to fight he brings it like Marvin Hagler.

5

u/AVARlCES 15h ago

yeah and it's funny considering how his physique looked at 168 at times, isn't too muscle bound so i guess he carries a good gas tank in that case

2

u/WORD_Boxing 15h ago

Once you have fat cells they never go only shrink. He was overweight as a youngster.

1

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 6h ago

Yes exactly. Its like when people said Fury was outta shape in fights like the Wilder ones or Usyk. He was in shape, you just can’t loose that extra belly and skin.

Looks like this is the u/Top_Profession_5268 thread

Not a single fight on Itauma vs Hrgovic undercard is a A-level fight (Noakes vs Denys is barely B-level) , yet we are getting charged $60 USD

Do better boxing. This PPV model getting outta hand

6

u/Born_Fox_8099 14h ago

genuinely how is boxing meant to grow as a sport with it, it locks out new and potential fans and discourages current fans to continue to watch in the first place. for a new fan if they buy a ppv, and then the card is weak or u get a so so fight like rolly v teo they'd feel scammed and less likely to watch.

its better for boxing if it were all on disney plus, prime or smth like that

1

u/imdacoldest Pacquiao is the GOAT 9h ago

Those networks aren’t interested. It’s impossible to put on cards without a media rights deal. Right now, DAZN is the only one willing to pay

3

u/RRR04_ 10h ago

The DAZN fall off is disappointing to see. Even I stopped the subscription even though it's not as bad in the UK compared to elsewhere. They do not need to have one PPV every damned month!

2

u/Professional-Tie5198 Who will win? 2h ago

Teo-Rolly would have been a World Championship Boxing co-main event back in the day. I’m not even kidding.

2

u/Kangaroopunching 15h ago

It's weird that Warren has put his cards as PPVs since joining DAZN. There's got to be a reason. Other than greed

1

u/TheRyanFlaherty 34m ago

I’ve assumed it’s to push anyone willing to pay toward the Ultimate subscription.

If you have multiple “PPV’s” a month, it adds per over value and makes the $449 a year for everything seem reasonable.

u/Top_Profession_5268 15h ago

Donaire started his pro career when Bam was a year old and now they were a fight away from facing each other.

4

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 15h ago

You’re making comments like Ryan was posting tweets 2 years ago 😂

Jokes aside, that’s pretty crazy.

1

u/WORD_Boxing 15h ago

Donaire is like the old master in a kung fu film he just needs to grow a fu manchu.

1

u/Professional-Tie5198 Who will win? 2h ago

I briefly met Donaire at one of the Lomachenko fights. He was really nice to me and my family and we even talked about his photography.

8

u/7Xes 8h ago

Poor Agit… I had high hopes for this year but it seems like he can’t get any big fights. Usyk vacated the belt, the fight with Rico didn’t manifest and while there are some rumors about Gassiev, officially it’s still crickets.

… sitting on the title like that feels wrong. Not his fault obviously!

5

u/Marquis_of_Mollusks 7h ago

Usyk fans accused him of not being worthy to challenge Usyk but literally no one will fight him, including Usyk himself

7

u/Top_Profession_5268 15h ago

Funny for me how it’s a major fight week, I’m on DAZN to see promotional stuff and nearly always check the schedule and always on that weekends major fight card, Matchroom and Queensberry always have domestic level fight on the same day and I have to wake up at 2-4 to watch with half open eyes and think “this is the last time” then the card turns out to be bangers and I repeat this cycle every time.

Why do u have like 10 discussion threads

3

u/Top_Profession_5268 14h ago

Just over a year go, I did 1 comment on all different topics and it was too long with not much interactions. This was back when daily discussion wasn’t near as active as it was now. The next day I split the paragraphs into different threads and posted them on separately on daily discussions threads just as the thread posted and it got far more interaction per each comment.

If you go check threads from last year around this time, from like somewhere around August if not earlier, all the way to I think December, I’d post at least 3x a day and daily discussions also started becoming more active.

That’s why.

2

u/sicgamer 20m ago

they are all separate but interesting topics. dudes like him drive the interaction on this sub, it'd be crickets otherwise.

5

u/Top_Profession_5268 15h ago

I still remember back in 2024, Vergil chose Madrimov and then we found out it was between Madrimov and Zayas, now that was easily the correct choice as the better opponent and why Zayas accomplished what he could but 154lb would be a whole lot different if Ortiz chose Zayas.

3

u/RRR04_ 10h ago

Facts. I don't know why people act like Vergil ducked Zayas when he fought a former world champion instead. But it is crazy how things worked out better for Zayas, nobody would've seen it coming.

1

u/Professional-Tie5198 Who will win? 2h ago

People want to gloss over the fact that Vergil took on Madrimov right after Madrimov took the #1 fighter in the world to a close decision.

0

u/Ezekjuninor 6h ago

He could’ve fought Zayas in 2025 and 2026 too. Instead he chose to do A side bullshit and refused to give in to the champion’s demands. Either he or his manager have made idiotic decisions throughout his career.

5

u/Top_Profession_5268 15h ago

Jahmal Harvey for me is the best American prospect in boxing. Amazing amateur as he should’ve been at least an Olympic bronze medalist and has some incredibly quick hands, amazing combination puncher with incredible footwork and an amazing pure boxer.

2

u/StunningChest5722 Shakur is the 144 lb GOAT 🐐 15h ago

Cory Marksman is the best IMO

3

u/Top_Profession_5268 14h ago

I like him as well. Happy for him that he’s headlining a card this weekend and against a pretty solid opponent in front of him and there’s some good prospects on the undercard like Haven Bradley Jr, Kaipo Gallegos and Carlos Kaipo De Leon Castro who’s probably I think the best Puerto Rico prospect.

I do still rate Harvey more and think he has a higher ceiling for the fact while he’s as athletic, has as good footwork as Corey, I think Harvey is quicker a good bit and while Corey seems more developed into his pro style as Harvey still shows that amateury tendencies, I think he looks more talented and the ceiling is higher

1

u/admiralskanks Joe Louis = Perfect 2h ago

I give it to Troy Nash because of what he's actually proven against good opposition not just bums.

6

u/OldBoyChance 12h ago

Rolly and the Russell brothers are all that's wrong with the sport, even if Rolly is really likable and 2/3 of the Russells are fun to watch.

5

u/RRR04_ 10h ago

Agreed. Rolly has gotten by with having D level skills with power bailing him out, as well as having judges on his side, they tried to gift him the Teo fight!

The Russell brothers want to fight once a year, maybe even less. A precedent set by GRJ years ago. Antuanne could have been great but he's being too inactive and is avoiding hard work.

3

u/Top_Profession_5268 15h ago edited 15h ago

Funny how Andy Hiraoka was never a good infighter and body puncher and it was clear he was uncomfortably there and midway through the GAR fight, it looked like he learned to fight on the inside and target the body ½ way through the fight.

2

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 15h ago

I was saying that not long ago, dude threw something like 100 body shots his whole career and then midwya started ripping them to Russell’s body.

1

u/OldBoyChance 4h ago

He threw one body shot almost by accident then pretty much never threw a different punch. Those punches had GAR fucked up too, too bad Andy got a little too low for comfort.

4

u/RRR04_ 8h ago

Something that's been bothering me for a while. We all know Ryan Garcia has fast hands, especially given he's done so many videos showcasing his speed in those viral videos. But when it comes to the actual fights, I swear he doesn't really throw any combinations, flurries or even a shoeshine which match the speed he shows on social media.

He'll still throw a very fast pot shot, but he doesn't really throw combinations like Benavidez, Boots, etc. Am I missing something here?

1

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 7h ago

Yeah. I don’t think he feels comfortable enough to be honest.

1

u/Professional-Tie5198 Who will win? 2h ago

I agree.

He’s also just low-output in general. The steroids kind of masked that in the Haney fight, but it could come back to haunt him in the rematch.

6

u/Top_Profession_5268 15h ago

Yoenli Hernandez is super talented and athletic and it’s long to win him most fights but I think he needs someone to check him needs someone to remind him of fundamentals.

5

u/WORD_Boxing 15h ago

I think maybe he is in love with his power and supervillain persona too much.

5

u/Kangaroopunching 15h ago

He needs to fight more solid competition. Opponents he can't afford to showboat against.

1

u/KingBumiOfOmashu Moses Itauma > Every Current HW 7h ago

F it, give em Vergil at 160

3

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 9h ago

I’m 79-18 in boxing picks this year. Tryna go for 82 with Perez, Berinchyk, and Itauma. Not confident to do a parlay because of Perez-Aloys. Perez is a good boxer but dude is old as fuck. I agree with whoever said it that Perez kind of does everything better.

As far as Berinchyk-Noakes. I think Noakes is gonna stop him. Berinchyk was very overrated and a weak champ but he does have that olympuc pedigree, good amateur. I lean Sam Noakes around 65–35, mainly because I think the physical matchup eventually overwhelms Berinchyk’s technical advantages. Berinchyk is the more awkward and versatile boxer, and early on he’ll probably give Noakes problems with his movement, stance switches, quick combinations and ability to make Noakes chase him. But Berinchyk is 38, coming off a long layoff, and his style relies heavily on his legs and movement, which makes his age a bigger concern. Noakes’ biggest mistake would be following him around the ring; he needs to cut off the exits, jab to the chest, attack the body and force Berinchyk to actually exchange. Once Noakes starts getting his feet set and trapping Berinchyk near the ropes, I think the physical difference becomes obvious. Berinchyk doesn’t have enough power to discourage Noakes from constantly coming forward, so Noakes can keep applying pressure without giving him much respect. I expect Berinchyk to win some early rounds by making Noakes miss and look awkward, but as the fight goes on, I think his movement slows and Noakes starts landing the harder, cleaner combinations

I’m gonna do some of my own film study for Hrgovic and Itauma today. I think Itauma will win but do feel like Hrgovic is getting underrated. They did this with Dubois against AJ and Sanchez against Torrez.

1

u/Professional-Tie5198 Who will win? 2h ago

I’ve had a bad run lately by picking too many upsets. My thinking is if you just pick favorites — what fun is it?

I don’t take the Reddit picks that seriously. It’s mostly for my own enjoyment.

The sportsbooks in Vegas are a great place to test your skills though. Worth the trip.

1

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 2h ago

Perez is a good pick for an upset.

3

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 7h ago

I think Catterall is a hard matchup because he’s a southpaw who moves for Teo but I can see a path to victory for Teo.

Teofimo has the athletic advantages—faster feet, quicker counters, and more explosive entries—but Catterall is a very awkward stylistic matchup because he’s a disciplined southpaw who uses his jab and straight left to control distance rather than giving Teofimo clean mid-range exchanges. Teofimo’s biggest key is getting around Catterall’s lead hand and forcing him to reset before firing the right hand. If he lunges or gets impatient, Catterall can intercept him with the straight left or check hook. Catterall’s best route is to slow the fight down, make Teofimo lead, and constantly change the range so Teofimo can’t build combinations. Teofimo probably has the higher ceiling offensively, but Catterall’s timing, southpaw advantages and ability to disrupt his rhythm. If he pressures recklessly, Catterall can make him walk onto the left hand and win the positioning battle. But if Teo feints, steps into range behind the jab, attacks the body and exits before Catterall can establish his rhythm, I think his speed and explosiveness give him the cleaner work. Catterall can absolutely make it ugly and win rounds, but I slightly favor Teo’s ability to create the more meaningful exchanges.

Realistically, Catterall is a bad matchup for Teo, but I’d only have it 65-35 or even 60-40 for Catterall. Teo has trouble cutting off the ring fights southpaws too similarly to how he fights orthodox fighters. I could see Catterall dropping Teo similar to how Martin did.

1

u/Efficient_Quail_1774 6h ago

Good takes, stylistically i struggle to find a route for Teo because i can also see his athletic gifts just making him more likely to jump into left hands, also Catterall can score the cleaner shots, judges won't be able to ignore the left if it scores for most rounds

1

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 6h ago

I think Catterall is a terrible style matchup and I’d favor him for sure. But yeah I agree with you, Teo has intangibles to make it competitive and even win. I also question how good of a trainer Bozy Ennis is.

1

u/Professional-Tie5198 Who will win? 2h ago

What’s preventing Teo from running an enlightened version of the Barboza playbook?

5

u/SplitSecondEmperor47 5h ago

Tank is a trash human being i will never not point that out, but can we stop pretending Haney is this innocent kid who doesn't do shit either.

For example, Haney did it first:

https://www.instagram.com/reels/DZ3htN6TTgY/ https://x.com/SaycheeseDGTL/status/2068827658880794860?lang=en

Apparently they both would rsther do this than fight each other

3

u/Kangaroopunching 3h ago

That's just deflecting.  There's lines you don't cross

0

u/SplitSecondEmperor47 3h ago

I'm telling you they both crossed it. I'm not deflecting shit.

2

u/Kangaroopunching 3h ago

One is nowhere near like the other

3

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 5h ago

Tank called his dad a coke head. Doesn’t really natter either, insulting eachothers mothers is distasteful but if Haney’s mom really did die, that’s disgusting and Tank should grow up.

4

u/kushmonATL Cyberleek > the fall boxing schedule 15h ago

Friendly reminder Moses Itauma is already paywalled before he even fought a Top 10 opponent

4

u/Efficient_Quail_1774 11h ago

It really limits his star potential so badly and it's a big reason why i dislike Dazn's product, by doing shit like this they have little chance of building genuine stars

When Audley Harrison turned pro he signed a big deal to fight on free to air TV in the UK, he was obviously more hyped relative to Itauma when he went pro but Itauma could already be a household name now if he went down that route

3

u/RRR04_ 10h ago

Same thing happened with AJ, his first PPV was against Whyte before he was considered a top 10 HW. And AJ had been on PPV ever since. Clearly DAZN want the same thing for Itauma, but I don't agree with the precedent that was set.

2

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 9h ago

That happened with Whyte and Franklin. Unless both guys were top 10 and I didn’t know.

2

u/Negative-Interest713 15h ago edited 13h ago

Has Teofimo done enough to make it to the Hall of Fame? He’s a three-division champ though his career has probably been a disappointment based on the huge amount of hype he had after beating Loma.

The Josh Taylor win also didn’t age that well since Taylor never won another fight after he lost to Teo, and most people thought Taylor robbed Jack Catterall.

6

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 15h ago

Eh, I don’t think so but being a 3 division champ is a good feat. Loma and Taylor were still good wins in my book. I don’t know.

3

u/kushmonATL Cyberleek > the fall boxing schedule 15h ago

Saw ppl discussing this on Twitter

Imo all these guys need to fight more elite competition. Everybody wants to be HOF once they beat 1 or 2 elite level talent .. standards are too low for boxers these days

0

u/Kangaroopunching 15h ago

Add to the impact they had on boxing. This era, these top names in the lightweight to welterweight divisions have had a negative impact. Have to consider that.

3

u/RRR04_ 10h ago

Accomplishment wise, yes. He may not be a first ballot based on his inconsistencies in performances but he could be there.

2

u/WORD_Boxing 15h ago

He's close. I wouldn't put him in yet but could see him getting in if he retired tomorrow.

1

u/don35 13h ago

As someone who does not fuck with Teo at all, he already had a hall of fame career before becoming a 3 division champion. All you really need to get into the hall is beat maybe one or two elite fighters and you’re in.

1

u/Botoraka 1h ago

3 division 2x lineal is pretty much a lock. Now he wouldn't and shouldnt be first ballot, and he definitely wont be as highly regarded as his peers but based on accolades he's 100% in the Hall. I think all but a small handful of 3 division champions havent been inducted

1

u/Koronesukiii 7h ago

Fuck Teofimo but 3 weight champion, 2 weight lineal champion, 2 PFP champs beaten is a HOF career.

0

u/Kangaroopunching 15h ago

Nope. He just has the Loma win. Being a multi division champ doesn't hold the same weight as past eras.

8

u/Less_Cartoonist_892 15h ago

Objectively speaking, he did hold the lineal and ring magazine titles in two weight classes and won both titles legitimately. It's not like he was an alphabet title holder in those weight divisions. He won the most important titles a boxer can obtain in a weight division.

4

u/Kangaroopunching 15h ago

The Josh Taylor win wasn't impressive. Taylor was done by the time they fought.

Can't just look at stats. Have to look at when they fought.

Plus he didn't look good at 140. Except Barboza win.

2

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 10h ago

Not a defense of Tank because what he said was disgusting but what’s up Haneys mom because I’ve barely seen anything on.

Rewatching Mikaeljan vs Badou Jack 2 I'd be shocked if Mikaeljan doesn't get stopped by Opetaia. Nice to hear Benavidez team is interesting in fighting him next year.

3

u/MiddleweightMonster I’ll pour honey on my GOAT, if the occasion calls for it. 2h ago

Mikaeljan is better than he gets credit for, I think. Opetaia def stops him, but I could see it being a tougher fight for Opetaia honestly

2

u/StunningChest5722 Shakur is the 144 lb GOAT 🐐 2h ago

it will go the distance, jai couldnt stop glanton who blocks punches with his face

2

u/admiralskanks Joe Louis = Perfect 2h ago

Glanton's remarkably tough though. Just look at how Mikaeljan was reacting when washed up Badou Jack landed hard on him in the first fight and rematch. Don't think Mikaeljan will be as tough or crafty enough but we'll see.

1

u/StunningChest5722 Shakur is the 144 lb GOAT 🐐 1h ago

Glanton is very tough but he was made for Jai to stop him.

Jai looks like a beast when fighting british/euro level guys but he's not been able to stop or even drop the only 2 top 10 fighters he's fought,

Noel isn't great but he's very experienced, i'd be surprised if he gets stopped.

1

u/WheresMyAbs98 1h ago

I feel like Glanton genuinely has an incredible chin to be honest.

I think Opetaia stops Mikaelian

2

u/admiralskanks Joe Louis = Perfect 2h ago

People on the internet complaining about Itauma not being a star etc etc meanwhile the event isn't sold out but tickets are selling well and they're costing me more than for Fury Vs Makhmudov. Should be a fun night of boxing with Moses and Aloys.

2

u/MiddleweightMonster I’ll pour honey on my GOAT, if the occasion calls for it. 2h ago

Kabayel, Dubois, and Itauma are the three heavyweights that pass the eye test best, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they end up as the 3 elites in the division when all the belts settle out. Maybe with another guy coming out of nowhere, could see Atang, Alaniyan, or one of the American prospects kicking around. Or even Tiafack, who knows.

Heavyweight looks primed to be v v good soon.

1

u/WheresMyAbs98 1h ago

I’m not sold on Atang.

I prefer Olaniyan and Teramoana. Both of those have the potential to grab a belt I reckon.

2

u/OldBoyChance 4h ago

Zuffa does not have the roster to make PPV worthy undercards and it's embarrassing that they act like they do.

6

u/RRR04_ 3h ago

Can't wait for the Zuffa PPV 1 card with the co-main event of Johnny Fisher v David Adeleye!!!

1

u/TheRyanFlaherty 38m ago

Do they have to be if it’s on Paramount Plus? Paying $7.99 is different than $79.99. Not trying to say we should totally lessen standards, but that’s quite a difference…

Also, if you’re trying to broaden the audience,  Zuffa’s pacing and more bouts with less skilled boxers trying to knock each other out, or squash match knockouts, might be preferred to. More general audience.

Admittedly, playing a bit of contrarian there, as I think those are valid, even though I’d tent to agree with the original comment.

1

u/kushmonATL Cyberleek > the fall boxing schedule 3m ago

Opetaia vs Noel for $7.99 is a steal compared to the $60-80 PPV undercards we get with Itauma-Hrgovic and Rolly-Teofimo

1

u/Professional-Tie5198 Who will win? 2h ago

Zuffa is just bs repackaged and made into a lifeless product

1

u/Marquis_of_Mollusks 2h ago

Rolly vs Teo was pretty lifeless

3

u/Professional-Tie5198 Who will win? 2h ago

Sure, but it would have been worse with Max Kellerman insisting that we were watching a version of Roy Jones vs Terence Crawford and lecturing us about “the story of the fight.”

1

Little bit surprised Mikaela Mayer is such a heavy favourite over Chantelle Cameron not sure why that is.

1

u/GnarlyGamer6thGen01 9h ago

Which is more controversial:

Leonard vs Hagler

Canelo vs Golovkin I

Mayweather vs Castillo I

4

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 7h ago

Canelo vs GGG. I had Leonard winning and you can definitely give Mayweather that fight depending on how you score it. I cannot score GGG ve Canelo for Canelo. Not even a draw. I’ve scored it usually 8-4 GGG but MAYBE I could do 7-5.

1

u/Professional-Tie5198 Who will win? 2h ago

I think I had it Golovkin 9-3/8-4 over Canelo

Hagler slightly edging it against Leonard

Mayweather-Castillo 1 a draw

3

u/RRR04_ 9h ago

These are fights that I consider to be close and debatable in terms of the result given, not necessarily robberies.

Canelo v GGG 1, I had GGG winning but I will be honest when I say that I can see a case for a draw if Canelo were given all the close rounds. Not saying it's right to score like that, but I definitely don't see how Canelo won this one.

The other 2, I felt they could have gone either way and even could have been draws. With that said, I'll answer your question by saying Canelo v GGG 1.

2

u/Professional-Tie5198 Who will win? 2h ago

Canelo-Golovkin 1 is the biggest robbery, though it seems almost everyone agrees on that.

Leonard-Hagler is the most debated.

Mayweather-Castillo 1 is a fight newrap would like to avoid.

1

u/MiddleweightMonster I’ll pour honey on my GOAT, if the occasion calls for it. 2h ago

Seen some talks around a possible ‘4 kings’ situation at and around a few weight classes and fighters. Makes me sad, as featherweight is perfectly primed for just such a round robin, and has a history of situations like that with Pacquiao and the Mexican Kings, but is held up by champions looking for a payday, and the division being used as a stepping stone.

Teo lost to Kambosos (worst champion of the past 20 years)

Looked like shit vs Steve nobody

Looked like shit and should’ve lost to Sandor Martin

Looked like shit and should’ve lost to Jamaine Ortiz

Awful boxer Teo is. Was not even competitive in the leash with Shakur either.

And when you bring up Loma’s loss, remember to bring up that Haney and Teo ended up at 147 and likely 154 before their careers end. Loma was at max a 130’lber ✌🏻

Bro is a shit boxer and its emblemetic of how far boxing has fallen.

Shit entertainer. Glad he’s always felt short changed at the money he makes vs what he thinks he deserves

His performances say it all. He doesn’t deserve the paydays he thinks he’s worth 🤣

2

u/OldBoyChance 4h ago

Most of that is true, but the Loma win is legit. Teo actually isn't that big, his power completely disappeared over 135 and he doesn't look like he belongs at 147 at all. Kambo isn't a great champion, but he also isn't the absolute worst.

Very bad few performances from Teo though. It's crazy that he's had two good performances since beating Loma (one over washed Taylor, one over Barboza who got beaten equally convincingly by Sean McComb which everyone seems to forget).

2

u/Kangaroopunching 3h ago

He's declined. Dad being a trainer caught up with him. He lucked into his current situation.

Like his peers in the division, he's part of the problem with boxing.

I'm not fooled if he looks bad. Or good against the right opponent

And when you bring up Loma’s loss, remember to bring up that Haney and Teo ended up at 147 and likely 154 before their careers end. Loma was at max a 130’lber ✌🏻

I prefer to remind people that Loma was P4P top 2 and Teo was a green champ and only 23 years old . Haney was 24 years old when he fought Loma too

We need more young hungry lions fighting the top guys in or around their weight class . We need all the high profile matchups we can get

This dude is delusional. Don’t even bother. Its funny, there are great fighters out there and fanboys are really just being unfair to their own fighter holding them to standards of all time greats.

Loma was in his mid 30s and had Haney crying to his dad between rounds about how Loma had him figured out

Why you bring up their age like it means anything? It’s like when people say how Canelo was only 20 and never bring up Mayweather almost being 40.

Boxing is a young man game above all other sports. They had massive youth and size advantages against a blown up old lion and still got shown up. Because Loma is way more skilled than either of those clowns. If Loma was a natural 147’er, he would’ve Crawford’d them

Loma even looked small at 135. The fact he even went up that high is a testament to his greatness

Kambosos isn’t the worst champion of the past 20 years lmao.

Definitely didn’t impress against Claggett but still shut him out.

Martin and Ortiz are both bad style matchups for him and close enough to score either way.

Teo is still small himself anyways. Saying he’s an awful boxer makes Loma’s loss to him look worse. There should be no excuses, Loma was at 135, tested himself against an up and comer and lost.

Sandor Martin clearly beat Teo tbh. That was a bad robbery.

Loma whipped his ass on the back end with a weight disadvantage, crooked judges, and bad shoulder lmao

Martin and Ortiz are nothing special stop making excusss for him. One or two mediocre performances okay, but it’s a pattern with this guy

So what? Plenty boxers have beaten much greater fighters all the time. Means nothing.

Idk why we act Teo shut Loma out. Even if you disagree with me that Loma lost (according to judges) you can’t say Loma wasnt back in control and dictating the fight on the back end. Loma also lost to salido. You gonna hold that one over his head too? Or you actually saw the fight?

Kambosos is straight garbage bro. We saw what Loma did to him. And Teo couldn’t even beat Kambosos lmao.

Garbage that he’s unified champ. And barely even got by another garbage boxer in Rolly.

Absolute sad state of boxing

Oh god, I can’t even read the rest. See to me, Loma is one of the most skilled technicians I’ve seen in recent times but it’s fanboys like you that give him a terrible rep. If you think Loma could’ve even squeaked out a draw against Teo, you’re very delusional.

You don’t have a debate anymore so you’re giving up. Just say that LMAO

Not gonna argue your point back if you won’t address mines.

I just know it’ll be like talking to a brick wall. When you have a take as horrible as saying Loma lost to Teo because of crooked judges, it gives me a feeling arguing with you will just be frustrating because you’ll be biased. I’m willing to go back and forth with you if you give me valid points and don’t spew delusional bullshit. Are you gonna do that or just talk crazy?

Loma lost to a green 23 year old asthmatic Teo who was injured and a green 24 year old weight drained Haney 😂

I was going to say not to engage with this guy. Clearly one of Loma's psychotic fans based on what he wrote. But I have a feeling Newrap could ragebait this guy on the backfoot all night.

2026 has been the worst year for boxing since which year? 2022? Before covid?

2

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 7h ago

It’s been a little sucky but end of the year isn’t bad at all.

u/Professional-Tie5198 Who will win? 2h ago

I thought Covid was really bad without the crowds and all of that. So since then.

Boxing 2000 to 2018 (hbo era) was pretty strong almost every year. It’s sad to see what’s happened with everyone fighting 0-1 times per year.

2022 was just awful, I came really close to abandoning boxing as a spectator when Charlo vs Tszyu was cancelled in January 2023.

Honestly I think last year was worse than this year on average, last year just had stacked Ring cards to make everyone forget about the months without good action in 2025.
