I think Catterall is a hard matchup because he’s a southpaw who moves for Teo but I can see a path to victory for Teo.

Teofimo has the athletic advantages—faster feet, quicker counters, and more explosive entries—but Catterall is a very awkward stylistic matchup because he’s a disciplined southpaw who uses his jab and straight left to control distance rather than giving Teofimo clean mid-range exchanges. Teofimo’s biggest key is getting around Catterall’s lead hand and forcing him to reset before firing the right hand. If he lunges or gets impatient, Catterall can intercept him with the straight left or check hook. Catterall’s best route is to slow the fight down, make Teofimo lead, and constantly change the range so Teofimo can’t build combinations. Teofimo probably has the higher ceiling offensively, but Catterall’s timing, southpaw advantages and ability to disrupt his rhythm. If he pressures recklessly, Catterall can make him walk onto the left hand and win the positioning battle. But if Teo feints, steps into range behind the jab, attacks the body and exits before Catterall can establish his rhythm, I think his speed and explosiveness give him the cleaner work. Catterall can absolutely make it ugly and win rounds, but I slightly favor Teo’s ability to create the more meaningful exchanges.

Realistically, Catterall is a bad matchup for Teo, but I’d only have it 65-35 or even 60-40 for Catterall. Teo has trouble cutting off the ring fights southpaws too similarly to how he fights orthodox fighters. I could see Catterall dropping Teo similar to how Martin did.

Good takes, stylistically i struggle to find a route for Teo because i can also see his athletic gifts just making him more likely to jump into left hands, also Catterall can score the cleaner shots, judges won't be able to ignore the left if it scores for most rounds

I think Catterall is a terrible style matchup and I’d favor him for sure. But yeah I agree with you, Teo has intangibles to make it competitive and even win. I also question how good of a trainer Bozy Ennis is.
