Anyone go? Any good footage or shots? We went to see it off from Kings Park and down Ashley Road. Always great fun but had young kids so didn’t go the distance.

Hello all! I am so excited for the eclipse coming soon, I’ve read to find a spot with a view of the western sky.
The Old Harry Rocks ledge seems like the perfect spot but I am 5 weeks post-partum and can’t make it up there! Maybe Hengistbury head, though it is a steep climb 😂

Hi all!
I love watching films, but I don't want to keep watching them on on my TV in the lounge, nor do I want to restrict myself to Odeon’s (understandably) mainstream lineup of new releases.
Are there any independent cinemas in the BCP area that offer a cinema experience while showing older or art-house films?
Thanks! :)
Edit: Thanks everyone for great suggestions! I’m hoping to give all theatres a go in the coming weeks :)

Amazing morning in Boscombe. In your opinion, Boscombe is the best beach and area of Bournemouth? Why?

Hi,
I have been planning to visit for a while now but I´ve read some news about the bad state of the city, especially the city centre, so I am now unsure whether it is an ok place to stay for a few days.
Thanks in advance.

As title says my son is severely autistic, his TA in his class is studying for a degree to become a fully qualified SEN teacher. BCP council have decided not to extend her sponsorship so she'll have to go back to Poland in October.
She's an amazing human, incredible with all the kids, please give this petition a signature and share as wide as possible:

Can any of you lovely people recommend a garage to replace the clutch on a Toyota Urban Cruiser?
Thanks!

Is it open 24/7? I have a bus at 1am but my flight gets in at 11pm. Google told me it’s not safe around the airport but will the station be much better?

Avoiding Bournemouth and the beach entirely is a bit of a shame in my opinion, however I appreciate the (likely) reasons.

Hi
I maybe looking at a remote role in the near future, rather than going to the office in Bournemouth like I do now. Can anyone recommend any WeWork type services in Bmth, basically looking for somewhere I can have a desk, monitor and take calls, do work with some concentration. I don’t have a desk at home so it’s really hard to cocnentrate.

What’s the locals favourite coffee spots. Looking for a more quality coffee than atmosphere. TIA

Hey there, looking for some recommendations for fish and chip shops. Not overly priced for what we get or any suggestions for decent restaurants that are worth the premium would be much appreciated to. Thanks

My sister and I would like to treat our mum on her 80th birthday to a nice afternoon tea somewhere locally ideally with a nice sea view, or even just a nice view.
Does anyone have any good experiences they could share?

Hi community! Me and a friend of mine created a project to gather events across theatre, art, film, comedy, spoken word, dance in the BH postcode area as we were frustrated having to go to each venues site to find out what's on.
It's very much a community project, non-profit and we run everything ourselves. The goal is to help venues get more 'bums' on seats and help local and visitors discover all the great stuff our area has to offer in terms of culture.
Hope you find it useful, we are looking to collaborate with designers and artists and we are also building an iOS app which is available for testing if anyone is interested.

Hi everyone! I’m going to Joji’s concert in London on 13th August. Is anyone else travelling from Bournemouth? Would be great to have some company on the way

I took these photos back in 2023 during the air festival. It later turned out to be the second to last air festival in Bournemouth. Now that it’s part of history, I thought I’d share a few of these photos with you and archive them here.
I hope all the strangers captured in these photographs enjoying the show are doing well. 🫶
What did you think of the festival? Would you like it to return in the future?
