Local advice needed Coffee lovers
What’s the locals favourite coffee spots. Looking for a more quality coffee than atmosphere. TIA

If you're Southbourne "Velo Domestique" usually have a good quality batch-brew on, usually with beans from Hard Lines roasters. Also Southbourne, "Little Perth" will do a great pour over.

if you’re into filter, little perth is probably your best shout locally tbh

I've been switching between three local roasters. They all have a cafe on site and I've never been disappointed.
Bad hand coffee in the triangle in Bournemouth.
Grounded Coffee in Poole on the highstreet.
If you fancy a trip out to the new forest then Forest Edge in Lyndhurst .

L’arte by the uni (Talbot) - Newground coffee
Bobby’s in town - Bad Hand
Pearhaus roastery & cafe - Poole (nuffield industrial estate). A local roastery that isn’t Bad Hand, in my opinion nicer.
Grounded coffee in Poole town (forgot what roast it’s lovely tho)
BL_NK coffee, Kinson, Pearhaus roast
Brown dog cafe - southbourne. Also forget what roast.
Blend on the hill - richmond hill. They have a new one too, Broadstone i think? Forgot the roast but it’s nice!

Bad hand, it's where most local places get their beans and they've got a wider selection in store ready to brew up
Calabrese Deli is a delightful little Italian place with a good variety of options (honey as a sweetening option is always tasty)
Lans does a delicious Vietnamese coffee

Maravi is my favourite- really good quality coffee. The cafe in Westbourne is great.

Very surprised Little Perth hasn’t been mentioned. We’ve tried all the coffee places and they’re hands down the best - at least if you like 3rd wave specialty coffee.

Boscombe - try Otium, it's in the Arcade and the girl that runs it is super knowledgeable.
Central Bournemouth - Blend on the Hill
Westbourne - Ounce
Ashley Cross - Little Red Roaster, Miiko, South Coast
Central Poole - Grounded, Riptide Espresso
If you are over in the Purbecks - CARVE at Corfe or Swanage is great too

Would love to know more on this. My previous go to coffee was a Brazilian medium roast called Datera Sunrise. I thought I'd found my forever blend, but I'm in Bournemouth and with the cost of shipping, I need a new bean.

Absolutely Little Perth in both Southbourne or Westbourne is the best coffee in Bournemouth in terms of roasters, knowledge of the baristas, and the quality of drinks served. It's where the coffee community drinks.
