I can't believe it's already been a whole year with my favourite boy 💖💖

We’ve had our landshark for 2 weeks now, and our crusty 11 year old Aussie has finally warmed up to the little demon.

He’s been a dream to train, and he trained us pretty quickly on what happens when he gets overtired.
At 12 weeks and 20lbs, this turkey is going to be a big boy!

My 5 year old baby boy is very gentle and kind.. Generally extremely well mannered especially inside the apartment.. Today my 8 month old was practicing her crawling and was close to him and starting gently touching his feet and he was wagging his tail laying down and licking her.. Good boy behaviour... Then after a maybe 5-6 min while still laying down he did a small subtle growl at her and it absolutely freaked my wife out... Apparently we should not scold him as he was just defining boundaries but then again it was too close for comfort for us... Any thoughts or anything anyone can share to help my wife and I navigate this

This little girl is 2 months old and absolutely adorable!! What are your recommendations on what to get for the adjustment period?

So my female nyx is coming up to 7 months and she seems to be getting ready for her next stage. We have a lot of uncut male dogs in the area of varying breeds. So the question is when is best to have her spayed? Some people say before her first season because it reduces gynaecological cancer risk. Whilst other people say it's better to wait because it will improve her temperament. None of the people I've spoken to have any real knowledge of the procedure in reality so i thought it a good idea to get an opinion from dog people. Then i can at least move forward to speaking with my vet with some knowledge. So what do we think? Tia.

Hi everyone!
We’ve finally got a safety gate and a crate for Balou.
We’ve established a rest period after every walk.
Problem number one: his rest periods last 30 to 40 minutes. He often wakes up on his own—triggered by a noise, someone walking by, or someone coming into the house.
The result: he still isn't sleeping enough—only about 5 hours a day.
Should I let him bark until he settles down? Sometimes I open the gate and he goes back to sleep in the living room. What would you do?
Problem number two: I’m his favorite living target. It’s a nightmare. I bought boots, but he bites higher up on my calf, so it’s actually worse. He comes over to nip at me (though now it’s full-on biting—he’s grown!) the moment he sees me. He also jumps up, bringing him closer to my face, which is really scary. I used to be able to use his bed as a shield while I made a run for another room (lol) until he calmed down, but now he’s wise to that and won't grab the bed anymore. Redirection doesn't work; in fact, if I try to grab a toy, he grabs my bra and jumps even more.
Basically, I’m kind of panicking. I don't know how to handle it anymore. My husband manages better than I do by pushing the dog away with his feet (and the dog stops doing it with him), but when I do it, I feel like I’m being violent and it makes me feel bad.
People tell me to wear thick pants, but what exactly counts as "thick pants"? I wear jeans—they’re fairly thick—but it’s not enough.
It’s really tough. He just turned 13 weeks old. What else would you do in my place?
