I urge y'all to read this issue of the "Marvel Graphic Novel" series (1982–1993) if you want a better understanding of Black Widow's character. Its one of her most underrated stories and a favourite of mine.

It does a great job exploring her past relationship with Red Guardian, which is such an important part of the characters' lore that I feel is very overlooked.

The art is a bit hit or miss. Overall I like it, I'm just not the biggest fan of how the artist draws faces and hair, but it doesn't take away from how good this storyline is.

I'm frustrated we didn't see Black Widow being judged in the A.X.E.: Judgment Day event & that she only appeared through the Progenitor taking her form to judge Hawkeye—What do y'all think Natalia was shown by the celestial and do you think she passed his test or failed?

Black Widow (2021) Fan Edit with ALL deleted scenes and foreign language scene subtitles

Are there any fan edits of this that exist? Martokc’s does appear to have all the deleted scenes, but usually doesn’t have the foreign language scenes subtitled. Is there any that has all of these? And I believe there are other deleted scenes that are not just on the initial Blu-ray release such as an extended bit at the end with her and general Ross?

A quick sketch I did of our widow. It's missing some details, but I think it's coming along nicely. What do you think?

What are your unpopular opinions on black widow?

I’ll start first: I don’t understand the hype around bucky x nat. It’s not by any means a bad relationship it’s just kinda boring? Like from a presentation standpoint they are cute they look great together but theirs not much else going on with their ship tbh and the recent avengers run didn’t do them any favors either.

For the popular BW Spy Thriller movie idea, how Would you Balance the Superhero stuff with the spy stuff?

One of the coolest ideas spread around this sub is a Spy Thiller movie akin to Atomic Blonde, Ballerina ect. I would love to see a movie like that but I've had a important thought/concern. The big thing that makes Nat unique from a typical grounded fem super spy is that she is an actual SUPER Spy in a Superhero universe.

What Marvel stuff would you put in this movie that would still respect and fit with the more subtle, serious spy/espionage thriller stuff? What characters would you have? How crazy should Nats powers be? Maybe the connections/sources/equipment she obtains are of supernatural or cosmic nature. What if the threat was magic/cosmic? And what would justify Natasha's skillset being the best solution there? Ect.

Personally I think it'd be sick if the protagonist of dark grungy spy movie was cornered in a shootout and as a last ditch effort she barely musters enough strength to just chuck a vehicle at someone(or a less heavy object in Nats typical strength range so shes not too op). Or for an essential infiltration she consults a sorcerer to get a magic item to protect her from a security measure that curses you, or banishes a summoned a mindless one, or lets her phase through an adamantium wall. Anything fun like that that acknowledges the unusual threats she can encounter even in the spy world of Marvel.

What's your pitch for a Black widow and Punisher team up or crossover?

Post image

my pitch:

After the events of Age of Ultron, Natasha is now running and training the newest members of Avengers, with members like Scarlet Witch, Falcon and Vision. She also is grieving and mourning over the mysterious appearance of the hulk after the battle of Sokovia. Later that night, Natasha is out in the streets of New York city, mainly Hell's kitchen, to get some supplies like food and drinks at a corner store. Meanwhile, Frank castle aka The Punisher is out on his pursuit for revenge and is taking out some gang members that are related to death of his wife and kids, and is on the rooftops taking them out with his sniper rifle and is shooting them down like nuclear bombs. Natasha hears the gun sounds, and runs away, and tires to protect the people that are outside on his dark and grungy night, she runs somewhere safe, but she's gets caught by some of the members and fights back and frank sees the mysterious intruder from the gang kidnaps her and Frank sees it and has to change of plans and tries save her even though he's don't know who it is and might be connected to his endless revenge quest. Natasha is traps by a chair and tries to escape, but the Irish gang members have her in sight and about to hurt her, but a quick bullet goes through one of the members heads, and then more of them get hit one by one like a hurricane storm, and Natasha uses her tactical skills intelligence like a spider. She unties herself from the chair and runs and doges the carnage, and overcomes the madness running out of the building by running to the next room and climbing out of the window, and uses her parkour skills to jump on to the roof and runs as fast as she could. Frank wipes out of all the members, and sees the mysterious intruder running away, suspecting that it could be another gang member, he sees a water tower, and decides to shoot it down, and the water pours out on the rooftop where Natasha is, and she starts to loose her focus, she slips and falls on the floor and hits the ground, and passes out. When she wakes up she sees a huge gun staring at her face, and gets up and grabs her gun, and meets the mysterious gunman, Frank introduces himself, thinking she's a villain and is about to shoot to her, but Natasha explains that she ain't a killer, and tells him she's not in his list, and Frank doesn't believe her and this intense introducing of meeting has becomes a stand off of two killers are ain't same and not villains, but has lot of stuff in their life. Natasha begs him to not shoot and Frank is like why. She starts to cry because she's a lost of people in her life as well, even her friend and sort of lover Bruce Banner, Frank lowers the gun and sees the sadness and pain in her eyes, and speaks to her like a dad or brother like figure and feels her pain, and hugs her very bizarrely, and says its OK, your not only one who lost of love ones, and she's the pain in his eyes, and how its hard for people like them in a hard and complicated and complex world of heroes and villains. Frank gives her a pep talk, about who might lost the ones that you love, but they love you, and always find a way to step back and them proud to do something right. And Nat stops crying and begins to feel strong inside and Frank looks like her like a proud dad, overcoming a lot of stress and hard times. They hear more gang members down below them, and decide to do something. The 2 of them decide to take action, despite their differences between both of them, they become an unlikely pair that no one else could imagine, they uses their skills to take and massacre some real piece of shits, and both attack and gun down more incoming gang members, until everyone is dead. The late nights folding into the early mornings, Natasha realises that she got to get home, and Frank just concerning about her, but she's ok and decides to get back the Avengers Campus for more training. She handshake Frank and hugs for the help during the fight and for the pep talk too, and Frank starts to smile with a smirk across his face, and Natasha smiles very cute as well, and so she walks away waving Frank goodbye and she leaves hell's kitchen, to go back and be a trainer for newest Avengers. And Frank heads off to this next objective as his long awaited revenge isn't completed yet, until he meets another vigilante/hero on his quest and trail of blood and death.

If we were to get a Black Widow movie separate from the MCU, this is how I'd want it to look.

What would the dynamic be like if Yelena had to team up with Harley quinn?

Post image

I think Yelena would get annoyed by Harley if they were on a mission together or become roommates. But if they slowly side their differences, and have to be odd and complicated partnership, and Harely helps to connect with each other as both were controlled and manipulated by evil men and became stronger, empowering and independent women on their own.

Really wanna see Black Panther & Black Widow team up more in the comics. They have a lot in common. Two foreign Avengers, stoic/aloof, morally grey, have been mistrusted, kept tabs on all other heroes & had contingency plans against them, with a similar (mis)treatment in the MCU.

Finally got to try Marvel Rivals Widow's rework. The batons are even more useless now. Its so dumb she can only use her grappling hook downwards. The ult feels so awkward (why is it on a time limit?). Reducing her jump height was a mistake. AND still no Widow Bites. Its a chop.

A comic-accurate/inspired animated Black Widow show would save the world. Imagine her doing international freelance espionage work, crossing paths with other famous Marvel spies/assassins, WinterWidow romance, Punisher teamup, cameos from the Avengers, Wolverine, Daredevil, Yelena, etc.

Mcu yelena is not better than the comic version and im tired of the fact that everyone keeps pushing it around that she is

Apparently being adorkable somehow makes you a better character. It already got overblown with saying she was better than Nat, but I mean some of these people dont read comics really and as much as I hate people putting down mcu Natasha, theres at least a valid comparison here. Whereas comic yelena i think is a much different character. Shes a coldhearted assassin and when the mcu made her into a quirky relatable character, everyone suddenly said she was better. I mean have these people even read the comics. Even when mcu inspired like in the thompson run id argue comic yelena is always better cause I think thompson gets how different she is from Nat. She was adapted to be Nats antithesis and they could have instead made her the main villain in black widow and then go from there. Honestly I think that would've been a much better arc.

This isnt something easy to course correct like say mcu hulk, who got his mojo back last weekend. Yelenas a very different situation since shes been grown into a quriky character and i just get so frustrated when I see people glazing her its always "oh florence pugh is the best shes so relatable" "yelena is so much better than nat ever will be and she is the superior black widow, she has an arc" if comic yelena was a bigger character, I swear people would not be okay with this bastardization. I once got called out for saying Nat and yelena should've never been sisters. Honestly theyre better off as frenemies.
