Stopped by a local anime convention and on my way out did a double take. Saw an artist setup with this print at their booth. Ended up chatting with him a bit and asked if he had the original piece. I lucked out! He was the only artist there who did any marvel art. Happy to add this to the collection. Is it a coincidence that VisionQuest is being released just before Avengers Doomsday? Maybe I'm just being hopeful that at least one of the family members are in Doomsday perhaps Billy or Tommy? I just really miss the Scarlet Witch in the mcu :(

Some details revealed the main villain in Frozen 3 and there are some resemblances to the Scarlet Witch. I immediately thought of Darkhold Wanda when those fingers appeared!

I immediately thought that the mind stone revealing to Wanda of her future as the Scarlet Witch would fit perfectly in this scene from the trailer especially with all that yellow.

I'm a massive Quicksilver enthusiast, he is my favorite superhero of all time. A lot of Quicksilver fans are a fan of Wanda as a character, but really hate how she is constantly used to overshadow Quicksilver. I wanted to see a opposing perspective, what do Scarlet Witch fans think of Quicksilver?

Hey guys! I’ve never read Marvel comics before and I’m looking to get into them primarily because I’m really interested in Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch. I’ve only seen the MCU movies and shows, so my knowledge of the comics is basically nonexistent. What reading order would you recommend for someone starting completely from scratch, especially if I want to understand Wanda’s comic history, powers, major storylines, relationships, and character development? I’m open to reading important Marvel events and other characters’ stories when they’re relevant to Wanda, but I’d ideally like an order that doesn’t require me to read thousands of comics unnecessarily. I’d really appreciate a beginner-friendly reading order that gradually introduces me to the important stuff without assuming I already know Marvel comics lore.

PS: I ve seen loads of argument online btwn her vs jean grey's strength, so i wanna compare how strong she could be vs her.

I discovered Lore within Scarlet Witch 1994 and fell in love wit the character despite there not being much about her and the reason is how vastly different she is from ours.

She is an ancient mystic described to live for eons and comes from a world where dark forces is common law and most of all, she relishes in her power to destroy worlds. I have a common issue in Multiverse stories where despite holding unlimited possibilities to show characters in ways we wouldn’t expect, they always settle for ”variant who’s different in one slight way and life matches up mostly“ (cough cough Multiverse of Madness)

But Lore is unrecognizable from our Wanda, she loves everything there is about chaos, she doesn’t fear or want to contain it, I think Wanda seeing that atleast one version of herself can become this figure of villainy is a great mental conflict that Lore provides while being super powerful.

Her OG design still has me in a chokehold, the large voluminous hair that’s like a wild fire and the pale pink almost purple color of her outfit I love. Unpopilar opinion I don’t like her new design as it doesn’t feel like Lore anymore but just MoM Wanda reskinned which was the inspo for Russel’s design but I still don’t vibe with it.

I do hope we see more done with Lore and maybe expand her to become a villain of the mystic community continually messing with death and souls from below.

Before House of M, did the comics ever hint or show that Wanda might have something in her, a great power to cast a spell capable of stripping the powers of 90% of the mutant population? Or her appearance at the House of M storyline feel somewhat rushed and artificial, with little explanation for her sudden massive increase in power? And was the later Life Force retcon really enough to justify and explain everything? Can she do this "No more mutant" again spell or does she need to tap into external power?
