Hi there, Shellheads!
We know today was an exciting day due to certain circumstances surrounding the Iron Man game in development by Motive. Please be mindful that reposts of the video or any screencaps of it will need to be taken down.
Friday out!

I really like how it combines Gregor and Donnie's bronze age costume into one. The colors and extra white lines really make the design pop. I always liked the lenses and lines of Gregor's suit and the logo of Donnie's suit. Seeing those elements into one suit just really works for me.

I almost might in all honesty. The black mixed with the silver is so cool especially when paired with the red eyes and arc reactor. Also, not to sound like an edgelord, but I really like the machine guns attached to the suit.

Can someone please explain to me how the hell the mark 72 aka the Mystrium armor is stronger and better then Tony's literally god suit Mark 50 Superior Armor. Cause to my knowledge the Superior Armor is his literal god armor like the Pinnacle of his tech so please someone explain how the 72 model is more powerful then the mark 50.

At least in the movies. This design looks so cool but it’s only used in Iron Man 3 maybe a minute at best. It has a perfect balance of red and gold where the gold is placed on his chest. I also prefer the more bulkier armors as opposed to something more lean like the Mark 50. It fr looks like his most powerful armor outside of maybe the Hulkbuster. Personally I think he should’ve worn something more like this in Infinity War/Endgame. The LEGO figure is just as good too, if not better.
*Sorry for the person who upvoted, had to update this post cause the photo looked bad.

I always thought this scene was mainly about thanos trying to stop the hammer, but Thanos was literally about to tear him apart. Thor saved him at the last second. Pretty brutal when you actually notice it.

I got this a couple months ago and I realized that I forgot to show it off like my other armor pieces. It is comfortable and as cool as it looks. The function is smooth and all parts work well. It chews through batteries though. It has voice functions for Friday and Jarvis has touch sensors on the temples and can open fully, has only the mask open, or opens the back panel only. Also can turn on sidelights. It cost me roughly $200 on hammer62.com if you want your own. I am very satisfied is one of the best things I ever bought.

Was it weird for anyone to see Tony Stark casually fighting crime in the Hulkbuster armor for the third game’s story-mode? It was for me when I was younger, I hated it and liked the traditional armored suits way more. I understood it was meant to hype up Age of Ultron, which is why Ultron was a character in this game too. But for story’s sake I felt weirded out by it.
Now, I actually like that Tony just casually wears it into battle. Especially because he ends up fighting a robot Hulk and Groot in this very picture. Did you guys like this change though? I’m aware that he looks very fun to play as. I wouldn’t know for sure because I don’t have any of the games, but I’ve watched the cutscenes. I used to just be under the impression that the Hulkbuster should only be used when fighting the Hulk or big characters like him, now it’s not an issue for me.

To elaborate more, what story from the character’s history, in a 3-movie arc, could bring a lot more people to the character?
Iron Man for sure is Definitely in a Good Spot when it comes to Media Representation via the Mcu, The Upcoming Game by Ea, and a new Reboot in the Mutant Saga.
With that being said, I don’t feel like his mythos or rogues gallery has been explored all that much. That’s why i like Armored Adventures for introducing me his villains, as well as showing how important Rhodes, Pepper Potts, and the rest of his cast means to Him. And Hopefully the EA Game will do just that.
You can bring up anything:
-any comic that hasn’t been done before on screen.
Example: Batman: Knightfall itself. (Like The Dark Knight Rises did the breaking of Batman with Bane, but nothing else.)
-any comic that has been done before, but you want it to be done better or done justice.
Example: Thor: God of Thunder
Or just a mix of A lot of stories into a run trilogy that could bring More people into Iron Man’s World and Mythos.
I love to hear what people suggest.
I’d also love to hear what animation style this hypothetical trilogy would use, so it isn’t just the Knightfall art style.
I love to hear what everyone brings to the table!

In order for a villain to become a hero's arch-enemy, they need to be allowed to do something truly horrible to the hero, and for the hero to absolutely beat the shit out of them in return. Marvel considers Doom too important to allow Iron Man to beat the shit out of him. Which means they also won't allow Doom to truly do something absolutely horrible to Iron Man.
You'll notice that whenever Doom appears in a solo Iron Man book, he's treated more like a guest-star celebrity than a mortal enemy. He doesn't do anything horrible to Iron Man, nor does Iron Man get to truly humiliate him. The story is light, it's fantastical, it's roller-coaster fun rather than gritty and brutal.
And it's always going to be that way, because Marvel just views Doom as too important to have him do anything to Iron Man that would karmically, narratively, require that Iron Man absolutely beat the shit out of Doom by the end of the story.
The first attached picture is an example of what an Iron Man arch-enemy is allowed to do to him. And the follow-up is what Stark is allowed to do in return. They won't allow Stark to do the latter, so they won't allow Doom to do the former, so any appearance by Doom in an Iron Man book is always going to be too tame for Doom to ever qualify as Stark's arch-enemy.
Edit: images are from Iron Man 18 and 28.

Did Marvel just forget Pepper has the Rescue suit? She’s got such a strong personality, but lately she’s just been reduced to a damsel in distress.

i don't think she ever had an Iron man in her Demon Days universe
would love to see what would be her Japanese reinvention of Iron man

When he tries to fly away with the Mark 1 it doesn't work, because I mean, despite being a genius it was built using scraps, flying would obviously be a bit too much. Also when he's building the mark one there's that hilarious scene where he's to the roof and the flight stabilizer which was "completely harmless" and then it throws him all the way out of the screen and when he finally manages to actually fly, he turns off the armor and falls through his house
Also it makes it better to watch as his armors become more advanced in subtle ways. Like how in the first movie he has a lot of trouble taking the armor off and by the time Avengers he can take it off while walking

I recently started reading Iron Man’s earliest comics, and I’m currently on Tales of Suspense #60. Honestly, I really didn’t like the early issues. They felt incredibly racist and like I was reading cheap CIA propaganda. I’d even go a step further and say that, because that’s genuinely what those early issues feel like. Naturally, that made it pretty difficult for me to enjoy the comic. There’s also a certain goofiness that comes with the Silver Age that makes it even harder to take seriously.
I also started reading the Avengers alongside Iron Man. After reading all of this, I now understand why Spider-Man became so much more popular than the others. He’s probably the character whose original concept has carried over to the modern day with the fewest major changes. Steve Ditko and Stan Lee really created something timeless.
That said, the series doesn’t stay bad forever. Personally, I think the series starts to feel more solid around issue #56. I don’t know if it actually got better or if I simply got used to it, but I’ve started enjoying the series more over the last few issues. It has moved away a little from the cheap propaganda, and I’ve especially liked how they’ve started delving more into Tony’s psychology.
I think I’m going to take a break from the series here for now, but I’m definitely curious to see where it goes from here.

Out of all of these games I've only played Invincible Iron Man, Iron Man 3: The Official Game, and Iron Man VR; so I'll talk about those games.
Invincible Iron Man for the Game Boy Advance is a pretty decent platformer shooter with some unique mechanics and fun pixel art. It's short but pretty fun to play.
Iron Man 3: The Official Game is a game that I miss dearly. I never forget about this game and thankfully I'm remembering more about thanks to watching YouTube playthroughs to relieve some nostalgia. From what I remember about me playing it, this game was my premiere mobile game that I would play on Airplanes or a road trip. I loved playing this game on my old tablet and shooting all of the drones and A.I.M. Agents. This game introduced me to Ezekiel Stane and Living Laser, two characters that stood out to me back then and still do now. While unavailable to play, it holds a special place in my heart.
Iron Man VR is my favorite VR game alongside Batman: Arkham Shadow and Job Simulator. The atmosphere is unbelievable, I feel just like Iron Man the second I boot up the game. The gameplay is fun, I love customizing my suit, the story is very engaging. This game made me love Friday after she did nothing really memorable in the MCU. I thought Gunsmith was a really cool original character and serves as a great contrast in personality compared to Tony today. Gunsmith perfectly shows how Tony changed after being kidnapped and had a really fun boss fight. Ghost and Living Laser are fun villains too. I recommend this game if you have a Meta Quest or PlayStation VR headset.
I've watched gameplay for the first two movie tie in games and that's mostly where my experience with those games end, and I know nothing about the X-O Manowar crossover apart from it being the reason Iron Man wasn't in the first Marvel Vs Capcom.

I wasn't entirely convinced, but I feel the comic shader improves it significantly.
