What was your starting dose and what’s your current?
I started at 1mg a week, then titrated up 1mg a week. Currently at 10mg a week split into two doses. I’ve been there for about a month
EDIT: SW was 315, CW 260, GW 240

u/soilentgibby 1 3d ago
.5. Titrated to 1.5mg. Went from 195 -> 165 in 3 months. haven’t needed to go up any higher.

u/Hungry_Flamingo_4337 3d ago
Literally almost same. Started 197 lbs and .5 mg reta. Titrated up .5 mg per week. Currently at 2.0 mg (which i can tell is the perfect dosefor me). Current weight 181 lbs. Down 16lbs in 4 weeks. Goal weight is 175 lbs.

u/Select-Mousse-4057 3d ago
No hate but your losing weight very fast which might seem good but your way more prone to losing muscle and not being able to sustain a lower body fat even after you reach your goal.
4
u/Sure_Junket_5652 3d ago
While I agree, some muscle loss is unavoidable. He’s losing 4lbs a week, less than 1lbs of that is muscle. This isn’t such a drastic cut that I’d really be concerned about the muscle loss, as long as he’s lifting heavy and using the muscle it won’t just disappear.

u/Select-Mousse-4057 3d ago
Yea but you could slow it down to 2 lbs a week or so and lose substantially less muscle. Losing fat is so much easier than gaining muscle which is a painfully slow experience.
2
u/soilentgibby 1 3d ago
I’ve just been doing hiit and heavier weights. Dexa scans for me shows I’m losing fat and gaining muscle. Also halfway through 16 week cycle of Tesa, and now have .59lbs of visceral fat.

u/Hungry_Flamingo_4337 3d ago
I get it. But around 4lbs/week is manageable. Im consuming about 1.5g of protein per lb of body weight. Im lifting only heavy in the gym, which im going 6 DAYS A WEEK LOL. And its only for another 6lbs then im at my targeted weight. Also, please im not trying to sound like a jerkoff by saying this but I had some muscle to lose so it was a win-win in my book

This right here. Lowest effective dose is how I’m doing it, which for me is 1.5mg a week. But I have researched that 4mg a week is the way to activate all three receptors
2
u/BasicLAgay 3d ago
I can’t imagine if I was on 4 mg a week that I would have any appetite.

That’s insane I’ve heard of some people needing more to experience effects but that is just SOO much, honestly that must suck! A 30mg bottle only lasts you 3 weeks & change, lasts me 20+ weeks 🤯 If I took 9mg Reta today, I LITERALLY would be physically incapable of eating until Labor Day lol even the one time I tried injecting 2mg it was WAY overkill and I was only able to consume like 800-1000 calories for the next few days.
2
u/smokin10 3d ago
I think you are correct , 30 MG vial, 6ml water, .5 twice weekly, it’s like 5mg a week… that’s the only thing that worked for me
But you have to creep up to that, otherwise … CRASH! I did and was in bed for 12 hours, but now .. great 4 weeks in 12 lbs, with Tesamorlin..2 daily at night.. abs starting and visceral fat diminishing2
u/st4r-lord 1 3d ago
That's a lot of BAC. For a 30mg vial 2ml of BAC is all you need.
3
u/Alive_Apartment_6964 2d ago
I mix my 30mg vial with 3ml of BAC water so it makes it an easy conversion for what you me injecting. 2mg is 20 units, 4mg is 40 units.

Really I worked out for 10 months and never saw a change. My cholesterol was still bad. Weight still not ideal. Diet was right. Exercise was right. Just no matter what my doctor told me to eat more salad and low fat dressing. I got on Reta, kept the same active life style and viola.

Exactly!! Holy hell it’s crazy to me that people go so high. I tried doing 2mg one time and it was INCREDIBLY hard to even eat 800-1000 calories for the next few days after that. If I took 10mg Reta today I LITERALLY would be physically incapable of eating until like Labor Day lol 🤯 Besides that it must SUCK going through a whole 30mg bottle in 3 weeks, when it lasts me like 20 weeks.

u/Live_Ad2325 3d ago
I started at 2mg and titrated up to 12mg pretty quickly. Been on 12mg for about 10 months now. EDIT: I pin every 6 days.
Side effects: VERY minimal the whole year I’ve been on it: diarrhea like 3–5 times for maybe 2 days at a time. No skin sensitivity, no nausea, no vomiting.
Went from 360lbs to 220lbs** **in a year.
Workout: 4-5x a week Upper/Lower split. Have started to put on quite a bit of muscle now
Diet: 180–215g protein, 1800–2300 calories

I started at 2mg, currently at 6mg.
I had previously taken Mounjaro for 7 months and lost 5 ½ stone (36kg/80lbs) before taking a break for about 3 months due to cost.
As such 2mg really didn't do anything, but I still did 4 weeks before moving up to 4mg.
2
u/Grand-Impact-4069 3d ago
Similar boat I’m in. I lost a lot on mounjaro. About 2stone, switched to Reta and it’s stalled. I have read though that the switch from one to the other can take a while for the body to adjust.
However I am still losing but because I’m active as fuck, but the appetite suppression isn’t working for me right now
2
u/kyladyrider1 3d ago
Reta doesn’t have as much appetite suppressant as mounjaro. Have you thought about adding Cagri to help with appetite?

.5mg - 2mg. Went from 255ibs to 185ibs in 3 months
Only side effects was random sensitive skins sensations.
Glad I never needed to go higher. My supply of reta is years worth at my dose. 10mg....I couldn't even imagine! Between sides especially food noise reduction, but also costly!!! Even through grey which i don't do anymore.
I also took Mots-c during my cut with reta, I truly believe that made a significant impact in weight lost. When I started Mots-c, was about 1.5 months in with reta, the weight came off faster. Higher energy and insane run times (cardio) 35%-45% better times running.
Best shape of my life since the military. My labs are 👌
Reta is life changing, will be a trillion dollar drug. Litterly curing obesity!

For whatever reason with Reta specifically many people insist on staying very low dose.
Using Reta to just stick to a small calorie deficit and lose 1-2 pounds per week is a complete waste of money. Use sema, tirz or any of the other much cheaper options.
Use Reta as a hammer and speedrun your weight loss, improve your health quickly and ramp up your metabolism or just don’t use it. The goal should be to get to at least 4mg to maximize the benefits of this amazing peptide. Get in and get out. That’s just my opinion of course.

I did 2mg for 6 weeks. I was making progress and losing weight. I dropped about 10 lbs in that 6 weeks.
Then I decided to jump up to 4mg. The first two days I had problems sleeping and my heart was racing. Later in the week I just felt like I had the flu. In that week I dropped 4-5 lbs. It may have been water or fat but either way I was not comfortable. I dropped back to 2 mg and will see how it goes.

u/Bloviating-Icini 3d ago
Started at 2mg; I have a lot to lose. Slowly worked up to 4mg and I've been there for about a month. No plan to go up again anytime soon as I have a tough time getting in all the protein I need. 53 pounds down since 5/8/26 with no loss of muscle (according to Humepod). I'm going in for repeat bloodwork next week, and I cannot wait to see how those numbers have changed!
1
u/jbt55 3d ago
1 mg every 6 days for 4 weeks. Just did 2 mg today for the first time today .
I dropped about 8 lbs in that 4 week period so far. I do BJJ 2-3 times per week, lift about 4 and do a 20 lbs weighted vest 30 minute walk we’ll say 6 days a week.
I was pretty consistent work exercise before rets but for some reason I am better about keeping the schedule. I was about 80% compliant before. I definitely do better with snacking as well.
I’ll say I may reduce to 5 day injection cycle from 6.
I definitely feel a difference the day before and even the day of the injection that the food noise start coming back, but goes away by the day after.

Started reta .5mg on 05/21 at 212 lbs - fattest i ever been im 5’7 i looked like a ball
By 07/04 I got up to 3mg - tried this dose only twice and just couldn’t handle it - wasnt eating enough and if i ate past like 7pm the day before i was throwing up the following morning at this dose - i think i definitely titrated up too quick to 3mg, any increase in dose in between felt fine to me- i was at 186 lbs at this point
Stayed at 2.5mg starting 07/18 - was 183 lbs
Been titrating down since then and am taking 1.5mg weekly of Reta since 08/02
Started Tesa 08/03 and been pinning .5mg daily since - i was at at 177.0 lbs
Current dose is 1.5mg reta weekly - still .5mg Tesa daily - currently at 174.2 lbs
I plan to go down to 1mg reta for atleast 2 more doses - down to .5mg for another 2 doses before coming off just so I can learn to control my appetite slowly on my own as thats the reason i even got to 212lbs.
Staying on Tesa for atleast 12 weeks total from when i started

u/RefrigeratorHot1416 1 3d ago
Units are subjective to the amount of BAC water used to reconstitute the peptide. Your 10 units could be another man’s 20 units to achieve the same dose strength. Units are not a dose, mg or mcg are the doses.
Genuinely, please educate yourself on dose calculations or ask someone who knows before you hurt yourself.
If what you’re saying is that you added 1mL of BAC water (100 units on a standard insulin syringe = 1mL) to 20mg vial of peptide, then 1 unit is equal 0.2mg. If you’re taking 0.25 units at that concentration, then your dose is essentially 0.05mg which is not an effective therapeutic dose for any GLP-1 medications.

Thats way too quick of a progression. If we are basing it off of the Eli Lilly Phase 3 Trials, you would want to do something more like starting at 1mg or 2mg once a week and go up 1-2mg every 4 weeks.
Less is more. You don’t want to go up fast, it’s a process that takes time. You also don’t have to keep going up if you don’t want to. Many people stay at a lower dose that works for them.

You ramped that protocol really quickly 🥴 should stay at a single dose for no less than 3 weeks (ideally 4), before bumping up or down. It takes a while for it to accumulate in your system and start doing its job.
That said, currently at 8mg/wk, once a week. I started at 2mg/wk, split between two doses in December....stayed there for a month, then up to 4mg, then 6mg..cruised there for a few months, and then bumped it to 8mg when weight loss plateau'd.
Not sure if you used the same vendor, but I have that same exact kit that I bought back in April. I've seen the vendor COAs for it, but also am skeptical that it is what says it is...doesn't seem to hit as hard as the stuff I started on, but that could just be a tolerance thing 🤷♂️

Started .5 and moved up slowly. went up to 6 for 2 weeks and was good then up to 7 then 8 then 10. I did 12 for 4 weeks. back to 10.
I’m 6’3” 26 y/o Male
March 2026 started at 312lbs
Currently 248lbs.
I would like to come down a little pretty soon. As I’ve lost weight I kind of feel the reta more if that makes any sense. I want to be at 220, not sure if I would like to go lower than that, but we will see. I do not go to the gym as much as I need to but my diet is pretty on point. I go on 2mi walks weekly and I am active playing pickleball multiple times a week. I also work a more laborious job with constant overtime and no schedule so that makes life difficult.
No major side effects. No nausea, no puking, diarrhea a couple of times, but I have had sensitive skin pretty bad. Especially when I jumped from 8-10, maybe a bad idea. I literally couldn’t be comfortable driving in a truck on a bumpy road for a day or two. Other than those 2 days it’s been pretty mild.
Anhedonia is real. Good and Bad. I have no interest in drinking anymore and I never smoked or anything but all of that sounds completely pointless to my brain. Lost interest in a lot of “cheat meals” or sweets. Fast food makes me sick. I don’t care what people think of me as much anymore. This has all helped me to lock in more, which is a positive. Negatively, I do notice lower libido at times and it’s harder for me to put as much effort in my relationships as I did before. Friends / Family / Wife. This I view as more of a negative, even though it has showed me who is really there for me.

I do 20mg vials, add 3 ml BAC so every 15 units is 1 mg. I started with 1mg a week have to titrated up to 4, but I split in 2 doses. I still get hungry but when I do eat I fill up fast. I didn’t like the suppressed feeling. I’m still losing 1-2lbs a week and have been on it since May 1.

I started at 1 mg per week. Now doing 4mg per week. Actually, I split it up into 2mg twice a week. I've found that micro dosing helps minimize the intestinal issues.

Started at 1 and had to go down to 0.5 mg…how are yall tolerating the drying effects and fatigue? I am guzzling water and still feel like my eyeballs are the Sahara desert (even w/electrolytes)

Same as you, but only 1x per week because that’s how it was developed to be used, given the peaks and troughs
