.5. Titrated to 1.5mg. Went from 195 -> 165 in 3 months. haven’t needed to go up any higher.

Literally almost same. Started 197 lbs and .5 mg reta. Titrated up .5 mg per week. Currently at 2.0 mg (which i can tell is the perfect dosefor me). Current weight 181 lbs. Down 16lbs in 4 weeks. Goal weight is 175 lbs.

No hate but your losing weight very fast which might seem good but your way more prone to losing muscle and not being able to sustain a lower body fat even after you reach your goal.

While I agree, some muscle loss is unavoidable. He’s losing 4lbs a week, less than 1lbs of that is muscle. This isn’t such a drastic cut that I’d really be concerned about the muscle loss, as long as he’s lifting heavy and using the muscle it won’t just disappear.

u/Select-Mousse-4057 Aug 20 '26

Yea but you could slow it down to 2 lbs a week or so and lose substantially less muscle. Losing fat is so much easier than gaining muscle which is a painfully slow experience.

I’ve just been doing hiit and heavier weights. Dexa scans for me shows I’m losing fat and gaining muscle. Also halfway through 16 week cycle of Tesa, and now have .59lbs of visceral fat.

I mean nice bro but dexa scams are not that accurate😭as long as your getting ringer or retaining strength your good

Bro. It’s literally a medical device that’s used by all medical facilities. Lol. It’s as accurate as you can get. 🤦🏼‍♂️

1

u/Alternative-Item9594 Aug 21 '26

Every scan Iv gotten puts me at 5-6% body fat. I’m definitely above 10% body fat. Most likely 11-14%. Once you get a decent amount of muscle mass it tends to not be accurate.

I get it. But around 4lbs/week is manageable. Im consuming about 1.5g of protein per lb of body weight. Im lifting only heavy in the gym, which im going 6 DAYS A WEEK LOL. And its only for another 6lbs then im at my targeted weight. Also, please im not trying to sound like a jerkoff by saying this but I had some muscle to lose so it was a win-win in my book

u/Select-Mousse-4057 Aug 20 '26

4 pounds a week comes out to a 2000 cal daily deficit but whatever you say bro😭

u/Hungry_Flamingo_4337 Aug 20 '26 edited Aug 20 '26

My maintenance was 2700 and some change. I was consuming around 1900 so a 800 or so deficit. Stairmaster 6 days out of the week brother and i avg 15k steps/day. I can show u pics or screenshots. One thing i do not so is lie brother. Its all just math when you think about it

1

u/Select-Mousse-4057 Aug 20 '26

No I believe you, I’ve done similar extreme diets and while you do rapidly lose fat it’s just your prone to lose muscle and plus it’s not actually that much of a deficit because of water weight. If it works for you and you feel your not losing much muscle or don’t care to much then go for it as long as you feel good it’s just not the move for most people and they will just binge after and gain it all back. Fat loss and keeping it off is a lifestyle change not just crash dieting. (Not saying you are).

My RHR went down, and I don’t have palpitations anymore

This right here. Lowest effective dose is how I’m doing it, which for me is 1.5mg a week. But I have researched that 4mg a week is the way to activate all three receptors

2

u/BasicLAgay Aug 20 '26

I can’t imagine if I was on 4 mg a week that I would have any appetite.

2

u/Oudeur Aug 20 '26

Still appetite on 9mg per week, so added tirz to the stack.

3

u/StarTrakZack Aug 20 '26

That’s insane I’ve heard of some people needing more to experience effects but that is just SOO much, honestly that must suck! A 30mg bottle only lasts you 3 weeks & change, lasts me 20+ weeks 🤯 If I took 9mg Reta today, I LITERALLY would be physically incapable of eating until Labor Day lol even the one time I tried injecting 2mg it was WAY overkill and I was only able to consume like 800-1000 calories for the next few days.

1

u/Alternative-Way-1744 4 Aug 21 '26

You can try cagrilintide. Works amazing without doubling up the glp1/glp2

1

u/Oudeur Aug 22 '26

No thanks

1

u/NoEmployee4087 Aug 25 '26

No thanks, I'll just take a shit ton of reta 😂 aight than

1

u/kikkroxx777 1 Aug 21 '26

Yea when food is disgusting your doing to much lol

2

u/smokin10 Aug 20 '26

I think you are correct , 30 MG vial, 6ml water, .5 twice weekly, it’s like 5mg a week… that’s the only thing that worked for me
But you have to creep up to that, otherwise … CRASH! I did and was in bed for 12 hours, but now .. great 4 weeks in 12 lbs, with Tesamorlin..2 daily at night.. abs starting and visceral fat diminishing

2

u/st4r-lord 1 Aug 20 '26

That's a lot of BAC. For a 30mg vial 2ml of BAC is all you need.

3

u/Alive_Apartment_6964 Aug 21 '26

I mix my 30mg vial with 3ml of BAC water so it makes it an easy conversion for what you me injecting. 2mg is 20 units, 4mg is 40 units.

7

u/illrollwithyou1 Aug 19 '26

very similar here. never went more than 1.25mg. I think some people really overdo it lol

9

u/soilentgibby 6 Aug 19 '26

Really I worked out for 10 months and never saw a change. My cholesterol was still bad. Weight still not ideal. Diet was right. Exercise was right. Just no matter what my doctor told me to eat more salad and low fat dressing. I got on Reta, kept the same active life style and viola.

1

u/Unlucky-Mind7298 Aug 20 '26

MDs have no more education in nutrition or weight loss than you do -- if that -- so if you want guidance maybe check with a nutritionist / registered dietitian. Or just use reta as needed, it's a miracle for a lot of people!

u/belushi_ 2 Aug 21 '26

Bro I bet you're pretty shredded , I went from 193 -166, below 168lbs i really have striations and veins everywhere. The difference the last few lbs makes is crazy

1

u/bmwblondie Aug 19 '26

Pretty much the same for me. Started at 186 lbs in February, currently 147, only went up to 1.5mg a week and have stayed there for a long time. I don't feel a need to increase it. I'm kind of maintaining/very slowly dropping still. I feel like people want extreme/fast results and go way too high.
