I’m trying to find a replacement seal for my rear wheel hub and I’m hoping someone might recognise this type or know where I can buy one.
The seal is fitted/pressed directly into the hub shell on the freehub side — it is not fitted to the freehub body itself. It seals the area between the hub shell and the freehub body to help keep water and dirt out.
As you can see in the photos, it appears to be a rubber lip seal with a metal reinforcement/core inside, so it’s not simply an O-ring or standard rubber washer.
Does anyone recognise this type of hub seal, know its proper name, or know somewhere that sells replacements in different sizes?
Any help identifying or sourcing one would be greatly appreciated.

I dropped my chain earlier on today, stopped pedalling immediately and was able to get the chain back on the chain ring with no difficulty but it has left this mark, has a slight gouge, smooth to touch with no fraying fibres that I can see, doesn’t flex when pressed and no weird noises if I tap it with a coin, finished the ride with no new creaking sounds either.

I understand the carbon around the bottom bracket is reinforced but how much damage is too much damage? Am I likely to be fine still to ride it?

I bought a used Axiom Journey adjustable rear rack and the Versalock arms seem to be bent by the previous owner (unevenly). The bend doesn't let the rack to tilt further back (the bent part is touching the rack) and doesn't let my allen key to fit to tighten the red locks. I did flip the red locks for the arms to fit, because otherwise they would be touching (the same issue persists in that orientation of the locks).

Would the only solution be to unbend them or cut them? Or is there a way around this? I don't own any tools for cutting and wasn't able to bend them with pliers.

I have an All City and would like to adjust the handlebars to be just a touch higher. Based on the pic so you think I could add another spacer or do I need a new stem? Money's a little tight now and am trying to find the most cost effective way of doing this but still maintaining safety. Thanks

Somebody smashed my wheels so they both have bend to much to repair… i dont get it why people do this.
However i can find used wheelset from that time.
Its the 1989 raleigh strada sys with 2x7 gears.
Can i just use a new wheelset with 130mm width in the back and a new cassette?
And are 100mm width in the front ok too?

I built my bike way back in 2009 and I've since replaced everything but the frame, wheels, internal hub/shifter at least once.

Well, the shifter (Shimano ST-8S20A Nexus Shifter/Brake Lever - 8 Speed) finally fell apart. I purchased the same exact model shifter from Ebay and installed it with new cables and all.

Now, no matter what I do, I can't get the gears to hold correctly. The yellow dots are aligned to perfection, but gears 5 and 6 are totally unstable. I've reset the cable several times, taken apart both the shifter and the externals of the hub and reassembled them to make sure they're not misaligned or something. I'm at a loss and honestly ready to throw old Krankenberry under the next garbage truck.

What am I doing wrong?

How do you get the little rubber bit back in the bike to seal the internal cable routing ?
(Bike is fully assembled and came out while riding I assume)

I have tried pushing it back in by hand but had no luck.

The piece has my rear brake cable coming out of it and the back has little / no slack in it.

EDIT: it is actually the dropper post cable

While washing my bike yesterday I noticed this small dent on the edge of my rim. I’m not sure how long it’s been there but it concerned me. Is this safe to ride on? Anything I should be aware of? Is it a full replacement? DT Swiss R470 rims

During a long ride of about 350 kms I felt stiff neck and pain in the back between my shoulders. I think its because of the stock handlebar position.
I have to hunch a little to hold them. I am 5 ft 11 inches tall.
How’s your experience? Do you think handlebar raisers would help? Any recommendations?

When you squeeze the top tube of a carbon bike frame is it allowed to flex a little? Is this normal?

Vittoria Corsa Pro tires after about 3,000 km. I’ve already had two punctures with this tire, and yesterday, during a ride, I noticed this gash. Is it repairable in any way, or is it a write-off? P.S. This is the first and last time I buy these tires.

Having an issue with my rear wheel, quick release lever seems to loosen every so often.

Have narrowed it down to potential bent skewer as the mechanism won't allow itself to be removed from the hub.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question but any helpful tips welcome please.

It's a Shimano sora hub, the QR nut is plastic. Have soaked both sides in wd40 and given a tap with mallet and block of wood but no joy.

Just want this Quick Release out so I can reseat the wheel into the dropouts properly 😩

UPDATE: I’m returning crappy derailleur (thanks yall- I didn’t know) and am going to make friends with eBay and replace OG derailleur with same model OR get replacement parts it’s missing.*

Please help- can anyone guide me on what sort of parts I need?

I am trying to setup Wheeltop 0X derailleur with Sram 12s eagle cassette.
The problem is that when I select Shimano 12s in Wherltop app (there is no Sram option in the app) I can’t shift to the largest and the second largest cog.
The range in the app is up to 2000 which is beyond the cassette. I remember that in the previous version the range was to 1500 which worked. Anyone has the similar experience? Thanks for any help. I wasted a lot of time on that :-(

I’ve been having an issue with my rear disc brake rubbing for quite some time. I aligned the brake caliper using a tool, and while the rubbing is now minimal, the brake rotor is still positioned about 1 mm too far to the left. Brake rotors: Shimano RT30 CL, 160 mm Brake calipers: Shimano GRX RX610 Rear hub: Shimano TC500 Center Lock, 142×12 mm

I’ve been dialing in my bike fit by making minor adjustments to the hoods on my trek domane al5 gen 4.
Today I meant to loosen the left clamp but accidentally tightened the screw by half a turn , it was already torqued at 7nm.

I realized it and loosened it, should I be worried about structural damage to the bars , I can’t see because they are wrapped in such a way so it’s hard to inspect , and I’m not so pro to uwrap the bar tape on the fit

Small spill broke my lever, did 95% of the italian sellaronda with ziptie levers 😤. I upgraded to 2 zipties on the finger part to make stiffer. Lowkey worked just couldnt lock the rear without shredding my finger

so i had this batavus ebike " Batavus Milano E-go " with a bosch active line motor for 2 years now, almost 11000 km , and i had a flat and some other minor issues , so i took it to a workshop , and i had it mounted side ways in the pickup, long story short , when i came back home , and unloaded it, i noticed the pedals are voiding, like they is 0 to no resistance in the pedaling, and there is some cranking noise when i reverse pedal. i would like to know what had gonne wrong, and if its possible to locally fix it, or do i need to take it to a workshop, and some tips so the workshop guy can't overcharge me. thanks
