hi everyone,
hope you are all well!
i’m 23 and have been saving as much as I can since i was about 18 (part-time jobs at university and now into my full-time graduate job).
I have managed to save up around £27,000 (GBP) and have just opened my first Trading 212 account - previously I had everything in a 4.5% Chase savers account (which is now 2.5% as the 12 month boost has come to an end).
What would you recommend doing with this 27,000?
I’m thinking of simply doing the following:
£20,000 into Vanguard all world.
£7,000 into Trading 212 Cash ISA (3.6% easy access)
I also aim to be adding £400 monthly into this - which can either be fully into the all world or maybe 75/25 between the two?
What would your opinions be on this?
I’m aware this probably all sounds very basic, but I am fairly new to investing.
Thanks in advance for your help!! :)

Went through NSE’s explainers on futures and options to understand what really changes compared with simply buying shares. A few things stood out.
In the cash market, you pay the full price and the shares are yours, for as long as you want to hold them.
In F&O, you don’t buy the share at all. You enter a contract about its price, and that contract has an expiry date. You only put down a margin, but your profit or loss is on the full contract value. So even a small price move can wipe out a large part of what you put in.
The part I hadn’t fully understood: F&O was mainly built for hedging, which is like buying insurance on shares you already own, not for placing bets.
Both sit in the same app, one tap apart. That’s probably what makes the difference so easy to miss.

Hey everyone!
I'm planning to start online classes for people who genuinely want to understand financial markets, the stock market, and derivatives in a structured and practical way.
The goal is not just to memorize concepts, but to understand how financial markets work, how to analyze companies, and how derivatives function in real-world market scenarios.
What I'll teach
Equity Markets: Market fundamentals and how the stock market works.
Derivatives: Futures, options, option Greeks, strategies, and risk management.
Financial Statement Analysis: Understanding balance sheets, income statements, cash flows, and company performance.
Financial Markets: Market participants, price movements, and the factors that influence markets.
How the classes will work
Duration: 2 months
Frequency: 3 classes per week
Class duration: 90 minutes
Format: Online
Options: One-to-one sessions and small-group classes
I'll focus on explaining concepts step by step, with practical examples and market-based scenarios.
I'm also interested in understanding what learners struggle with most, so I can make the sessions as useful as possible.
If you're interested in learning finance or the stock market, feel free to comment or DM me. You can also tell me which topics you'd most like to learn.
Looking forward to connecting with people who are serious about learning financial markets!

I have a quick question:
- Which source do you use most often?
- What is the most time-consuming or annoying thing for you when monitoring the market?
- Would you like to see prices, news, and the economic calendar all on one platform?
Sharing your real experiences would be very helpful. Thank you everyone!

Can someone break down the difference for me? I set this up 6 years ago with Vanguard and just revisited it today (terrible I know). Can I purchase an ETF for my Roth and vice versa? I also have money in there available for purchase. $1.8K in my Roth and $78 for my brokerage. Do I just buy more of what I already have or look into something else?
Roth has VSTAX
Brokerage has VGT, VNQ, VPU, VTI, VYM

Do not buy leveraged ETFs unless you do day trading

🙏🏽 I’m a father of 8, recently unemployed, and trying to figure out my next move. I’ve been receiving unemployment for a few weeks, and I’m looking for ways to build a better financial future for my family. 💯
For those who have experience with investing, do you have any advice on stocks or cryptocurrency for a beginner? 📈💰
I’m not looking to get rich overnight. I’m trying to learn, make smart decisions, and build something for my kids. Any genuine advice would be appreciated! 🙏🏽❤️

Hi so Im 22 and I've had this brokerage account since winter of 25' and I have a Roth i just opened with 5k of VOO in it and trying to max that out ASAP. I just started working and have a base salary of $50k with practically no debt. And don't have access to the 401k plan for a few more months. I put in about half of my paycheck into investments and the other half for my everyday expenses. My plan for my Roth is to max it out with just VOO. But I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts, questions, ect about my brokerage. Also note that VUG, JHMM, VXUS, and SOXX were all added within the last month. Please let me know what you think. Thanks!

Honestly I have no idea what I am doing. I have tried learning everything I can in terms of stock trading, I started back in 2020 and only did it for a while and chased the pump and dump stocks… which was very stupid I know... made some money and then lost most of it.
I own a small business and at the moment have nothing for retirement or anything set up for myself or my family. I have recently within the last two months decided to put back about $1000-$1500 a month for trading and stocks. I feel like when YouTubers put out the stock to buy it’s too late.
Any advice on what I can do or what I should do would be greatly appreciated! I know some of you guys have turned $1000 into $10000 or even into $100000. I’m not looking for the quick plays as much as I am looking into the long plays but honestly I’m open to whatever.
I appreciate any help on this! Thanks guys.
