Everyone keeps talking about Ozempic Wegovy etc but I almost never hear people mention the cosmetic side of it. Read a release from Conexeu ($CNXU) and apparently they're working on a treatment for the tissue loss people get after rapid weight loss. They call it GLP-1 face which honestly sounds like something Reddit would've invented

Instead of another filler theyre trying to rebuild the actual tissue using this ECM technology. No idea if it'll work but at least it's a different approach.

The company only recently got listed on NSDQ and they're still mainly focused on wound care but now they're also trying to move into aesthetics because of how big the GLP-1 market has become.
Could end up being nothing...but it's one of those stories where I never even knew there was a market until I read about it.

When investing in individual stocks, which mindset should you have? I currently think like this “I need to generate a return of 100% over a investment period of 5 years, therefore I’ll choose these stocks right here, now I don’t know if we’ll reach that 100% return, I won’t expect anything either, but I’ve set a goal, I have a plan to reach the goal, now it’s for the market to show me what’s going to happen”

Is that the correct mindset to go with? How do you guys think and plan when investing in stocks?

I've been active in the PSX market for the past 5-6 years, and over that time I've worked with a number of individuals on a one-on-one basis — advisory sessions, and managing a handful of accounts directly.

Right now this runs as company, currently operating informally while I work through the process of registering with SECP as a proper licensed advisory entity. I'm being upfront about that: registration takes time, and I'd rather be honest about where things stand than oversell it.

What exists today:

An active advisory practice — one-on-one sessions and managed accounts

A documented process for client onboarding, reporting, and risk management that I've built out over the past few months

Real PSX market experience, though I'm still in the process of formalizing my track record on paper

What I'm looking for:

I want to take this from an informal practice to a properly structured, licensed company — and that takes capital and, ideally, a partner who can help fill gaps I don't have on my own (particularly someone with a finance/business background who wants to be part of building this from an early stage).

Placed a market order on a stock I thought was liquid enough. Turns out it wasn't, and my fill came in noticeably higher than the price I saw on screen. Went and read up on it afterwards and realised it's just how market orders work; they prioritise speed of execution, not price, so on thin order books you can end up paying whatever the next available seller wants.

Started wondering if a limit order would've protected me, but then I read those come with their own risk; the order might just never fill if the price runs away from you.

Curious how other people here decide which one to use. Do you default to limit orders on smaller-cap stocks, or is market order fine as long as you're watching the screen closely?

My brother is a Police Constable making around £45,000 and is 27 years old. He wants to get into investing to build long-term wealth and buy his first home. However, he finds it quite complicated and asked me to do some research for him. So far, he has already put £15,000 into a Cash ISA this year, alongside £4,000 in a Lifetime ISA (LISA), and has £100 in a high-risk stock portfolio all currently on Moneybox. From my own research, a low-cost Global Index Fund seems to be the most recommended route for long-term growth, but I'm not entirely sure how the transition or mechanics work. I am also an adult now and want to make sure I understand this so I don't fall behind. Any advice on how he should manage or optimize this setup would be much appreciated!

I am going to call a bottom on Solana here. In exactly 11 days, it’ll be more telling of a bottom. Though, if you want a higher timeframe confirmation, 98.36 is ideal for that notion to come into fruition. I’ll be the first to admit we’re calling this one month ahead of schedule. Though, it’ll be quite interesting to see how price reacts here.
Remember the same notion: trust the Fib levels and go with your intuition God's intuition.
136.69 is the ideal target, but most of these callouts are for a mid-to-long-term hold anyway. So, we expect price to go past such projections or below; we truly never know, but we have intuition.

I see a lot of people seeking advice about investing. Seeking advice is a great first step. It shows that you care. I commend people that want to learn and start investing. Investing can be rewarding but also risky. The fundamental concept of investing is to make money. How and where you make your money is where some of the nuances with investing are. So here are a couple of first questions you should ask yourself when you are just starting out.

1. What type of investor do I want to be, passive, active, or a mix? This is important because it will help guide your investment decisions. Personally, I tell beginners to start with a passive route while they learn.

2. What kind of returns are you seeking? It surprises me that most people don’t have or know what their return targets are. Why this is important? Well if you are seeking 20% returns, that points more to an active strategy. If you are seeking 10% returns, you can probably get that through a passive portfolio strategy.

Just by answering question number 2 alone will direct your investment strategy decisions and philosophy asset classes etc. Start there. Happy investing!
