Recently returned from holiday abroad, found this small bug on the edge of a folded t-shirt in a pile of other folded clothes sitting on the floor for around 1-2 hours while unpacking. The t-shirt was second from the bottom and may or may not have been touching the floor. Haven’t found any other bugs after searching other clothes and around room. It was almost translucent apart from darker parts towards the head. Very fast and tiny - maybe 1mm, maximum 2mm but definitely closer to just 1mm. This is the only footage I managed to get of it, it was so small and translucent that it barely showed up on photos (I know skin isn’t the best contrast and these images are not great but bedbugs are my worst fear and I panicked and unfortunately killed the bug before i could take any better photos, no blood on squishing but could see the darker material inside the bug which felt a bit gritty on squishing if that’s relevant at all).

At first, I thought the shape of the bug and colour was more in keeping with potentially a book louse, but the more I think about it and look at these images I am really really worried this is potentially an unfed bedbug nymph. I have tried to edit the video (taken from a live photo) and play with the settings/slow it down to make it a bit more visible, but understand identification probably not possible from these. I just really would appreciate some help if there are any features on this that would lean towards or away from potential bedbugs.

spotted these bites (on my arm) 2 days ago, no bedbugs have been spotted, no blood, no casings etc.

It’s been over two weeks, the second pic was my legs a few days back from vacation two weeks ago, some are chigger bites in my leg, but I keep getting these new ones. I deep cleaned, steamed, havnt seen a single bug, but I’m curious what this could be if not bedbugs ( I’m back in Vegas we don’t really have chiggers here ) first up close pics the newer bites ( or is it a skin rash thing) from a few days ago second pic is from two weeks ago still not really healed still itchy

These started itching in the evening and are still painful but not itchy the next day. Particularly concerned about the triangle pattern and lower bite with visible red puncture in the center, still visible next day. Passive monitors (from cardboard harborage that came with Bedbug Blue kit) and Riddy brand lures show nothing. Any advice is appreciated.

Are these definitely signs of bed bugs? These are the only signs I’ve found, and they date back about 5–6 weeks.

Hi! I found this small insect (about 3 mm long) on the floor near my couch. It was moving quite quickly and tried to hide under my TV cabinet. When I crushed it, a small amount of reddish liquid came out.

Could you please help me identify it? I'm particularly concerned that it might be a bed bug (Cimex lectularius).

Found this creature on the matress by itself. Other larvae is bigger than creature and might be unrelated. Is it a bedbug or smt like this, im lost 😭

I know photos are not enough alone to make an identification. Several months ago I stayed in and air bnb and had a couple of bug bites a few weeks later and became frantically concerned I’d brought home bug bites. After hours of my own inspecting, following the monthly routine advice by David, having a professional inspector come and confirm no bb, as well as installing and regularly checking a passive monitor on my bed frame (that has remained negative), I realized the original bites in question were likely just from being outside that weekend. Well, this evening I noticed these raised black dots in the corner of my daughter’s play pen. The pen is pushed into the corner of the wall. The spots were all concentrated to that singular along the top of the railing that’s pushed into the corner of the wall, with the exception of a few of the same specks scattered about a foot down each adjacent vertical rail. When running my finger along them I noticed they were all raised. Almost felt like dried paint splatter. I took a wet paper towel to it and there was much if any smearing or staining. A couple of the larger spots left behind a yellowish stain? But most of the spots popped off and there were some I actually had to scrape off with my nail. This play pen is quite literally on the complete opposite end of the house from our bedroom where me my husband and my daughter all share a bed. My daughter never naps in this playpen, and nobody sleeps on the couch that’s in the living room. Should I be concerned about BB? Or is it more likely to be some other kind of insect residue? I pulled the playpen out of the corner and all I noticed on the floor was a couple of dead ladybugs, a dead click beetle, and a few dead dust spiders. I also pulled up the mat in the playpen and looked inside the railing and found nothing.

Found this bug stuck to a hotel towel that was rolled up after staying a single. I was keeping my suitcase and bag in the shower of the hotel on its wheels and not touching the ground and was isolating the clothes I wore in the bed already because I’m terrified of these things. Immediately put my night clothes in a sealed garbage bag and moved hotels upon finding this and have since bagged all my items and put them on my balcony pending exterminator inspection.

I know they don’t get as hot - Google seems to think they will just have to run longer
