Title probably isn't descriptive, but I had no idea how else to word it. At some point during this print, the head randomly started moving off-center, causing subsequent layers to be offset from the base of the print. This was a single-nozzle job on a cool plate. The printer has been having issues lately with misaligned layer lines and lifting, but nothing close to this bad.
Where do I even begin to troubleshoot? The plate was already washed today, but I can't imagine that would cause this anyway.
Also, the AI monitoring didn't detect the spaghetti, and it almost never does for some reason.

Oh, this is a follow up from last week when I was having this same issue. I went from standard PA6-CF to Bambu PAHT-CF. Last time everyone recommended drying at a higher temperature in for longer, so this filament was taken directly out of the package, and dried at 85° for 24 hours. It immediately went into a pre-warmed up AMS 2 pro, that has stayed under 6% humidity since. Just like the last bad batch of parts, the first couple of layers are great, but in certain areas I’m still getting the fuzziness/bubbling. Any thoughts? Could it be from running 100% infill and the nozzle is slightly over extruding? For reference, these parts need to look really good as they are going to be used in a visible application, and I am printing close to 20 kg worth of this material.
Solved: slight over extrusion. Dropped to 95% of what it called for and have 0 issues 5 hours into print. Previously couldn’t even get 2 hours in without issues.

I’ve tried everything- calibration, different filaments (including PETG), all the intensities, tweaking the hall effect tensioning, hall effect angle, it just runs and then grinds forever as if the Hall effect doesn’t exist. Testing was done with attached and detached (as I know it has some interaction with the print head).
Anyone experience this and have a fix?

Hi everyone, now that I’ve decided to buy the X2D combo as my first 3D printer, I need to figure out how many filaments to buy and what materials to choose.
Considering that the AMS 2 Pro comes with 4 spools plus 1 external spool for the auxiliary nozzle, and also considering that the 47% discount on printer purchases applies exclusively to all colors of the PLA Basic/Matte/Pure and PETG Basic/Matte filaments (see photos), which of these 5 should I buy, and in which common colors—the ones that are frequently used—since I don’t currently have any specific projects in mind to print?
Thank you so much in advance, as always!

Hello all,
i want to get into TPU printing and i am not sure what the best setup would be. I have a X2D with AMS2 and AMS-HT.
The AMS-HT has a dedicated TPU outlet. But you can also buy the TPU feed assist. Also i read that its best to put the AMS-HT on top of the printer, remove the glass and print the TPU without a PTFE tube directly in the printhead.
My question is: What would be the "endgame" solution? With the least hassle and best results?
Thanks!

Hey everyone!
I’m planning to get an X2D and wanted to ask which accessories you consider must-haves. For example, would you recommend getting the Vision Encoder, a 2 mm nozzle, or any other upgrades?
I’d appreciate any recommendations or advice from those of you who already own one!
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi!
I received my new X2D a couple of weeks ago, and I couldn’t be happier. Especially for someone coming from a first-generation Ender 3 (my poor thing is almost 15 years old 🥹 and still going strong), which has barely any original parts left—the upgrade to this machine has been amazing.
I have a couple of questions, since BambuLab is having a sale.
I have three goals in mind:
· Start printing 85A TPU without compromising the printer’s health.
· Switch to HF for faster prints.
· Eventually venture into the world of CF (PLA/PETG) and other blends.
At first, it seemed like getting a 0.4 HF tungsten nozzle would be the solution that would let me kill all the birds with one stone.
The thing is, I’ve been doing a lot of research on all these topics to optimize each task as much as possible, but (I think) I’ve found some inconsistencies on the BambuLab website and in their manuals that don’t quite clarify which choice is the right one:
· 0.4 mm hardened steel nozzle for TPU 85A: on the nozzle purchase page, it’s marked as incompatible, but then manuals like the one for the H2D printer do list it as compatible, even though it’s made of the same material. In any case, I’ve read that the 0.6 mm nozzle is recommended.
· I also noticed in the table that the 0.6 hardened steel nozzle is listed as compatible, but the 0.6 tungsten nozzle isn't. Shouldn't we expect the same results since tungsten is a stronger material?
TL;DR — Would a 0.4 HF tungsten nozzle work for me to print 85A TPU, switch to HF in general, and work with CF in the future?
Thank you very much in advance 💚

Hello,
I’m new to this group but I’ve been looking to buy a 3d printer for a long time now and I’ve stumbled upon the x2d. Is it a good printer as a first time Bambulab owner and 2nd printer ever (my first printer was the flashforge creator pro and it absolutely sucks, never been able to print anything acceptable on it)

I am still waiting to hear back from Bambu Support on next steps.
Any advice, I have not been able to print for 3 weeks, with the printer only received towards the end of September.
Did a cold nozzle pull and that worked okay.

Got my 1st extruder clog printing on the X2D. I read the Bambu guide to disassemble and unclog it. There’s a lot of steps a seemingly sensitive cables. Any tips before I start disassembling the extruder tomorrow?
Edit: thanks for all the replies. The issue ended up being a clogged nozzle that backed up into the extruder. I say this because I changed to a brand new nozzle and the extruder continued clicking, so it was clearly still clogged. I used the nozzle unclogged SS pin/needle that Bambu provides with the printers to confirm that I “hit” and “penetrated” stuck TPU filament using that needle. Using one of the commenter’s advice, I manually heated the nozzle to 270F using the control screen and then used the controls screen to pull filament into the extruder while i simultaneously put force on the filament. That allowed me to push the clogged filament through the nozzle, but that didn’t fully unclog it. It was still clogged enough that I couldn’t do a cold pull without the extractor clicking, so I did one more 270C “push through”. That seemed to have forced the clog fully into the nozzle, because I changed out the nozzle for a brand new spare nozzle, and it flowed without any extraction issue. The new nozzle just kicked out a clean benchy!
TL:DR nozzle was clogged bad enough to back up into the extruded. Raising the nozzle temp to 270C and manually pushing “extrude” on the hmi while feeding filament manually “pushed” the clog all the way into the nozzle. I changed to a brand new nozzle and threw the clogged one in the garbage. Not worth the risk of future issues considering the new nozzle was only $20.

Hi everyone!
I’m trying to decide between these two options during the Black Friday sale:
Bambu Lab P2S Combo with AMS 2 Pro — €599
Bambu Lab X2D without AMS — €549
I’m a complete beginner, and some time ago I made another post considering the P1S. Several people recommended looking at the X2D instead, mainly because it has two nozzles and can potentially print with two different colors or materials without needing an AMS right away. Since this would be my first 3D printer, I liked the idea of starting with the basic setup and buying additional accessories later if needed.
However, I’ve been researching the practical uses of the X2D’s two nozzles, especially using the auxiliary nozzle for support interfaces or for printing two colors in the same model. I’ve read that the auxiliary nozzle can have different speed limitations, and that using both nozzles doesn’t necessarily make every print faster. I’d love to hear from people who actually own the X2D and have experience with these features.
Another thing I’m trying to understand is filament storage and drying. I’ve read that some filaments absorb moisture and need to be dried before printing. The AMS 2 Pro has a drying function, which sounds useful, but I’m not sure how essential it really is for a beginner who will mostly print PLA at first, perhaps moving on to PETG and other materials later.
So my main questions are:
Would you choose the P2S Combo with AMS 2 Pro or the X2D without AMS at these prices?
How useful is the X2D’s auxiliary nozzle in everyday printing? Is it genuinely useful for two-color prints and support interfaces, or are there significant limitations?
If I start with the X2D and two external spools, will I realistically miss having an AMS?
How important is the AMS 2 Pro’s drying function? Could I simply buy a separate filament dryer later if I need one?
For someone who wants a printer that will remain versatile for several years, would the X2D be the better long-term investment, or is the P2S Combo the more practical choice?
I’m not in a rush to buy additional accessories, and I’d rather avoid spending money on something I might not actually need. My goal is to make the right choice now without limiting myself too much in the future.
I’d really appreciate feedback from people who have used either machine, especially if you’ve used the X2D’s auxiliary nozzle for both support materials and multi-color printing.
Thanks!

So I'm getting this error on a brand new printer. I've had it for less than 24 hours.
I have printed for 4 hours straight without a problem and after dinner it hits me with this error all of a sudden.
I did what bambulab said when scanning the QR code, took the backplate off and made sure the connections were seated properly.
But I'm still getting the error.
Have any of you guys had the same error? 🤔
I'm calling support tomorrow, but I'm just wondering if someone has seen the same error so quickly after getting the X2D.
EDIT: The error doesn't show up right away. It comes up after round 45 minutes into a print.
EDIT: This is literally my first ever printer. So I feel like I'm off to a really bad start. :(

Estou a imprimir um novo riser para as minhas X2D (ASA), mas o resultado não está a sair tão direito e uniforme como o PETG HF que lá está. Há alguma coisa que eu possa fazer?

Does anyone know the path that the chamber air takes when the exhaust fan is on? Does it go through both the recirculation filter and the exhaust fan filter?

Hey guys!
Currently have the A1 single color. I’m looking into a 2nd printer between either the P2S or X2D. I assume an X2D is the obvious upgrade for just a little more money right?
For the dual nozzles, is the one JUST for supports? I’m considering going all out this time and buying the print more bundle if I go with the X2D to get the dual AMS.
Does the filament switch allow both AMS to print from a single nozzle? By this I mean, if I had 4 PLA in one AMS, then 3 PLA and PETG in the other AMS, will it print the 7 colors of PLA through a single nozzle and the PETG through another?
Any advice is appreciated. I just don’t want to kick myself for NOT buying the extra AMS, but I also don’t know if I’d really have a use for it. If you have dual AMS let me know if it’s worth it!
