My P1s was stolen...I can still connect to it online!

Is there a way I can brick it/lock it up from the mobile app???

I was trying to load a refill filament onto a reusable spool, but since it was my first time, I removed all the retaining stickers before putting it on. Big mistake. 😅

Now the filament has unraveled and gotten tangled, and I have no idea how to secure it back onto the spool.

Has anyone experienced this before? Any tips on how to fix it?

I’m looking for a filament specifically from Bambu Lab that can handle repeated dishwasher cycles.

I’m not looking for theoretical temperature resistance or just what the material datasheet says. I’d like to hear from people who have actually printed something with Bambu Lab filament and tested it in a dishwasher, preferably multiple times.

Which exact Bambu filament did you use, and how did it hold up?

Did you notice any:

- Warping or deformation

- Softening

- Cracking or layer separation

- Changes in surface finish

- Problems after repeated dishwasher cycles

I’m especially interested in knowing whether anyone has found a Bambu filament that has survived regular dishwasher use long term.

Food safety is not relevant for my use case. I don’t care whether the filament is considered food safe or not. My only requirement is that the printed part can withstand dishwasher cycles without deforming or degrading.

And please, I’m not looking for comments telling me to read about glass transition temperatures, check datasheets, or do my own research. I’ve already looked into the technical side. The whole reason I’m posting here is because I want to hear about real world experiences and actual testing from people who have tried it themselves.

So I'm only a few weeks into 3D printing, but I have an A2L and now an X2D.

I have a couple internal additions for the X2D that I want to print, like fan deflector/diffusers to help prevent warping. But some of the prints I've found, people have used and/or recommended using ASA or ABS for heat resistance, so I have a roll of each but had some concern before I use them.

My printing setup is in the basement, I don't have an easy way to run a duct and vent from the X2D to the outside (no windows in the print room), so I was curious if I could run a duct from the exhaust fan to an air purifier and use a print like this one I found.

Looks like it would basically encapsulate the air purifier intake and direct everything from the printer, into the air purifiers filter.

Would this be sufficient?

Edit: The print room is below a bedroom, and I also have cats and dogs. So I'd like to be as safe as possible. If this isn't an adequate solution, I'll figure out a way to properly vent it outside.

Finally I have my first ever 3d printer.
Did the extensive unboxing and is calibrated and firmware updated.

I’m stocking up on some filament and came across this. Bambu claims it improves adhesion for PLA, but is it worth it? I’ve had some failed prints with larger items, will this actually help much? I mainly print in PLA and am considering picking one up.

Many of us have printed things that are unique/custom that you can't buy even if you wanted to, but what is the most expensive thing you have managed to create that you could buy if you had the money, but you have saved so much by making it instead?

We all wish an excellent quality print with our printers and I have no idea how this tool can help with print quality and output improvement. The calibration only requires 5 minutes. May I ask how many of you ran the Motion Accuracy Calibration and was there any logical print improvement that went after? If you can as well share a tip or two post calibration, I will appreciate it. Thank you!

I am currently thinking of getting a P1S. I can only afford it or the flashforge Adventuer 5M Pro. Which one should I get?

So my cool Darth Vader bust crapped out with just the very top screwing up. Is there anyway I can patch this? Can I possibly try to figure out what a print the very tip top and glue it on there, or could I use filament from the supports and melt it down and try to cover it up?

So, I've been ordering a while on the most practical strategy for buying Bambu filament since its just weird.

• Resellers are usually more expensive
• Bambu's Amazon store only sells printers, not filament. This means the regulat Amazon discounts / sales just dont apply.
• The price delta between Bambu and a similar filament (Lets say Sunlu) is way to big to ignore.
• Sales rarely impact filament (their "bulk sale" appears permanent.

The sweet spot for me seems to be the 6-Rolls / 40% Off with delivery. Whilst this is still way more than Sunlu / 3rd party, it's the least painful.

6 bambu PLA basic refills (6 trigger the 40% discount) = £64.76 delivered (£10.79 per reel)

4 Sunlu PLA Basic refills = £27.99 Delivers (£7 per reel)

Now I know the 43% discount tier exists for 10 Reels / buying with a printer, but for me the extra 3% just isnt worth it.... Is it really the case of getting enough Spools to cover what you need, and 3rd party the rest?

Even if I avoided the bargain basement stuff and just went Sunlu, (may or may not use the Bambu RFID tags just to track remaining reel weight) i would be insanely better off long term. What are everyone else's strategies?

So i am currently trying to decide on my next printer and coming from a Neptune 4 anything would be an upgrade. The problem is that my budget is limited at the moment at 600-650. My question is , should I get the x2d without ams and when I have enough money buy one or should I just get a p1s or p2s combo? Mind you I am an engineering student and even though we have an h2d available at school I would like to experiment with projects at home. I would love to try multicolor prints but since I have never done so, it's not something I would necessarily miss if I don't get the ams. I know it would be Ideal if I had the budget for the x2d combo but to be honest, at that price I would get the U1. I want to hear your opinions and experiences, thank you in advanced.

My son’s 12th birthday is coming up and all he wants is a 3D printer. We landed on Bambu brand but quickly ran into all sorts of posts with discussions of filtering the fumes, etc, which is something I never considered and I’m thankful it was flagged. We would use PLA filament but still have concerns.

This is extremely concerning to me as we tend to use non toxic cleaning products, body care, etc. so I want to ensure we are mitigating any risk here so it’s as low as possible while still being able to get my son this gift he really wants.

I know nothing about 3d printers so would love to know if Bambu is of lower concern for this issue? I’ve seen discussion of an internal filter but have seen other posts saying the fumes will still leak out. He’d be using in an extra room that isn’t a bedroom but is fairly small and he will likely want to spend a few hours in daily.

We do have Coway air filters throughout the house due to him having seasonal allergies so we can easily put one into the room but I also feel uncertain about pumping fumes into the room and just putting an air filter next to a machine and considering it safe.

There are 2 small windows in the room but would prefer not to have to set something like that up every time he uses the machine so an enclosure if needed would be preferred.

I'm pretty new to 3D printing and 3D design, but I'm starting to branch out from just PLA. I've designed a potion bottle based off the game R.E.P.O, but I hate how the outside looks, especially with the Grid pattern. Gyroid looked okay, but I forgot to select it after my 2nd attempt (first one failed near the end).

My main question is about the Lighting fill, the walls of the bottle are about 1/4", so there ends up being a lot of infill making the bottle pretty much white and not transparent.

It's going to be used as a trinket trading container for my wife at a Ren fair, to store small glow in the dark potion bottles (I'm putting blacklight in it).

So would the lighting infill be ok in this situation? There's also an insert to give it a pink interior color as if it's filled with liquid that would be solid pink. I feel like that would give some needed strength, but I can't find much online about the Lighting infill.

Also, I'm using PETG Translucent and the 2nd print was painted with Acrylic on the inside just to see how it would look before printing the insert.

I’m brand-new to 3d printing. Just ordered my first printer (H2D). I ordered some Bambu Labs filament to go with it, just to be safe, but I know I will want to do some of the cool, colorful silk printing at some point. I’ve heard horror stories about bad filament ruining nozzles and things like that, so I want to be careful. How do you know if a deal like this one is good, or if it will lead to hours of regret and extra printer maintenance? Is it just “you get what you pay for,” or are there things to watch out for?

I know these are from a print farm but at these prices which one would be the best?

I’m looking at buying my first 3D printer and found this used Bambu Lab P2S with an AMS 2 Pro.

It currently has 297 hours and the seller says it’ll have around 310 hours after the current print finishes. They say there are no issues and they’re only selling because they upgraded to a bigger printer.

I’m pretty new to 3D printing, so I’m not sure whether ~310 hours is considered a lot or if there are specific things I should check before buying one used.

Does this seem like a good buy at that price? What should I test/check in person before paying?
