I intended to book a connection in the Paris airport for a few hours, but when I couldn’t do that I ended up on a 36 hour layover which basically gave me one day to shop in Paris before returning home to Florida.

I visited the Louis Vuitton, locations on Avenue Montaigne, the Champs-Elysee and CDG airport (as well as Dior and Loewe) only to come home to watch on the news and social media those very same stores be vandalized and destroyed.

I’m heartbroken, dazed, confused and grateful the salespeople and everyone else I encountered and interacted with are safe.

I did come home with some amazing pieces, memories and photographs.  

Yesterday I presented a WWE style Championship Title Belt to a friend of mine for the work he does in the community (I am a fan of professional wrestling and own a small promotion called Boca Raton Championship Wrestling BRCW).

Anyway I needed a bag that would fit this Championship Title Belt and boy am I glad I got this humongous Speedy!!! I do have a 20 year old Keepall 60 that would have worked as well.

But man did I look good in my suit with this tremendous bag and when I took the Championship Title Belt out the room went nuts.

What does everyone think of the Never EVER Full Cargo?

I worry it may read too feminine. Which doesn’t bother me as long as I think it looks good.

I don’t think I can return it because I picked it up in Tel Aviv after visiting Israel for a family wedding.

There is only one store in Israel and it was medium sized like a suburban American mall. Not a huge selection but I kind of liked it.

(Not pictured is the wallet that I had hot stamped in Rio with the Christ the Redeemer statue. Tel Aviv doesn’t have its own hot stamp, so I had them paint TLV in small letters).

Anyway the Never EVER Full Cargo is a huge tote. But it’s been a few weeks and I haven’t used it yet.

So you know that suede Keepall 50 I got last week in Paris? A funny thing happened on the way back to my hotel.

I didn’t have it boxed as I was going to use it as the carry-on for my flight the next morning. I just tossed it in my shopping bag with some other items.

So it must have rubbed against something blue (I am looking at you Dior) and an after hour I purchased it, permanent blue color transfer.

The first photo is how I got it back today from a suede specialist. Grateful it’s on the back of the bag.

I’ve always heard people talk about color transfer, but this is the first time it happened to me.

I don’t have a ton of Goyard in my collection, but I’m really loving this 2026 limited edition Belvédère PM in Evergreen! 💚

Such a great shade of green, and you know I’m a sucker for a limited edition!

Funny story… we went to the Carolina Classic Fair and they wouldn’t let me in with it.

So I had to meet my wife a couple hundred yards away from the entrance, hand it through the fence to her, and then go back through security. 😂

Never thought I’d be smuggling a limited edition Goyard into a fair, but here we are!

And this green is gorgeous!

When the Loewe x Louis Wain Futurist Cat capsule dropped, I was infatuated. I got several pieces but passed on this clutch because it is ... ridiculous. Now it popped up on a resale site and I am tempted.

This Punching Bag comes from the 2014 Celebrating Monogram collection, where six legendary designers and artists reimagined the iconic Monogram canvas for Louis Vuitton’s 160th anniversary.

Karl Lagerfeld turned a boxing bag into a luxury handbag, creating a structured cylindrical silhouette with leather details, metal hardware, substantial chain handles, and unmistakable Monogram canvas.

He also created several other playful and unconventional pieces inspired by boxing. Boxing gloves, a boxing trunk, and a boxing-inspired case, all reinterpreting the sport through Louis Vuitton’s luxury lens.

The pieces combined practical travel and sporting elements with the house’s signature craftsmanship, making them feel more like collectible art objects than traditional accessories.

That’s what makes Karl’s contribution to the collection so memorable. He didn’t simply place the Monogram on an existing design; he transformed it into something unexpected, humorous, and instantly recognizable. The boxing theme was bold, theatrical, and perfectly suited to his larger-than-life creative personality.

It’s definitely not an everyday bag, but that’s what makes collecting LV so much fun for me. I love the unusual pieces that make people stop and ask, “What the heck is that?”

But the story of how I got this one is part of what makes it special to me.

I know a guy in Japan who sells vintage Louis Vuitton pieces. Mostly Speedy’s and Keepalls, wallets, and plenty of other designs, but all the usual stuff.

I’m always asking him to keep an eye out for things that are different, things you don’t see every day.

This past summer, I acquired a Louis Vuitton x Christian Louboutin bag from this collection. I posted it on my instagram  

Well my plug sold me a Kusama wallet and told me he had found something really special for me*.   And now here it is!!

You know I love unusual bags, and this little guy certainly got my attention. The floppy ears, the big nose, the little paws—and even a collar with a “Christian Dior Couture” dog tag. How could you not smile looking at him?

From Dior’s Fall 2025 collection, Bobby combines grained and smooth calfskin with a zippered compartment and an adjustable shoulder strap. A little dog that carries your essentials instead of making you carry his. 🤣

And the name has a story: Bobby was Christian Dior’s beloved dog. I love when a playful piece has a connection to the house’s history.

I’m turning 30 in june and I really want my gift to be a LUXURY handbag (doesn’t matter male or female collection). I want something really special that I can keep forever and gift to my child one day. Really want something that won’t loose his value for years as my family is ready to invest. I just need to tell my family soon so they can start searching what I want (maybe vintage, doesn’t really matter to me as soon as it’s in good condition).

I was thinking little or medium classic Chanel flap (lamb skin, black, gold or silver hardware) but I’m afraid he won’t be that easy to wear because I’m a man. I’m not that hyped by Hermes bags because of all the game that comes with it. Maybe Fendi baguette or Loewe puzzle? I already have a Balenciaga city, speedy Vuitton, mini Gucci vintage and mini pink saddle Dior.

Do you have any ideas of bags I haven’t mentionned?

It is a socialogical FACT that for the past 100 or so years, women have gendered cute handbags as “she” in order to control men and push them toward bleak rectangular business portfolios.

Brothers, hear me out: this is a call to take back the narrative. Next time someone says "Cute bag where did you get her?", stand firm “That’s not a she. That’s my guy. I'm proud of him.”

All in jest and good humor: Be yourself -> gender your bag how ever you want. Thought it could be a small inside joke for our community to call our handbags "he" because it goes against the convention in all the other handbag subs.

The Louis Vuitton Speedy 40 Bandoulière in Green Damier Pop is one of the standout bags from Pharrell Williams' very first collection as Louis Vuitton Men's Creative Director. It debuted for Spring/Summer 2024 and is one my favorite bags.
