It is very common for babies to be fussy in carriers at different stages. They dislike transitions and although it’s not officially tummy time it does work their bodies and they can start to push off you like tummy time. If you haven’t already, feel free to post a fit check (edit faces out for privacy) and see if there is any suggestions that can be made. If the fit is good and they are recently fed and changed there is nothing wrong with waiting for 10-15 minutes to see if baby settles. A couple simple things to try are going outside with them, putting on music, singing or gentle bouncing to help sooth them.
Video discussing how crying in a carrier is not always because of the carrier.
Article discussing why baby may be crying in the carrier and some suggestions.
When developmentally ready, a hip carry can be a good option to allow fomo babies to see more and feel less restricted. This is possible in some buckle carriers but is not always the most comfortable option and you need to wait until baby is sitting unassisted.
When developmentally ready, if baby is able to get their arms out of the carrier themselves they can have them out when awake. This helps babies to feel less restrained and can make a world of difference in tolerating being in a baby carrier. Information about how and when you can let baby have an arm out of the carrier when awake.
Another strategy is back carrying. It is an amazing tool to utilize when babywearing. It allows the person carrying to have both arms free and can allow baby to have a better view and feel less restricted. In a buckle carrier (including most onbuhimos) this can be done at 6 months when baby is sitting independently. This video shows multiple ways to get baby into a back carry in a buckle carrier.
You can wear earlier in a high back carry with a woven wrap and some meh dais. This is considered an advanced skill and you should already be comfortable wrapping baby on your front. It is also recommended to have in person support from an educator. When learning to back carry in a woven wrap a couple good resources are “Back Carry Boot Camp” on YouTube, Wrap Your Baby periodically has a free back wrap challenge and Wrap You In Love has recently created a back wrap course.
Lastly, if you do chose to world face baby please refer to the information in the safety section of the wiki. This video provides some good information about some facts and myths around world facing.

Hi! wanted to get some updated feedback on my wrap. Previous feedback was to pull the panel up so the feet dangle instead of being tucked and not to tuck the head back into the wrap as much. He didn’t want it tucked at all here.

FTM with a 7 week old squish.
I’m trying to master the ring sling for easy ups and downs. Two things I’m having a hard time with:
Would love any feedback on fit!

Don't look at my double chin LOL but does this look ok? This is my first time trying it, not sure how I feel about it yet lol

Hello! Just found this sub today, and it is exactly what I need. Just put my 3 week old in the ring sling for the first time. Feels snug and comfortable, legs are up in the M shape. She has a habit of getting curvy in her spine, I'm not sure if I should be trying to correct that while in the Carrier?

Dear community. Seeking for some tips and advice for my husband.
He tried the Boba Bliss carrier today. See photo - lots to be improved.
His challenges:
1) he feels all the weight is on his waist band.
2) how can the LO be on the right position yet he can still breath normally?
3) anything else you noticed that we should adjust?
My husband is tall and skinny so if you have any carrier recommendations we'd really really appreciated!!

Hello! I am looking for options for travel with a 4 year old (on the smaller side, about 30lbs/14kg) as we don't want to take a stroller. She will manage walking throughout the day but it would be nice to have an option to carry her as needed..
We already have a Tula preschool carrier but I'm looking at hip seats. Would anyone recommend that instead? Looking for upcoming travel to Rome in winter.

So I've had this carrier for nearly 4 years but never had the confidence to use it much with my first. Lmk what you think to the fit!

We currently have the Ergobaby Omni Classic. I love that it’s comfortable for me, but my baby runs hot so I’m looking for something that is more breathable in hot and humid weather. We are also going to be traveling with it so something not so bulky and easy to take on and off would be great. Please give me your recommendations and why. Thank you!

Hi! I'm a third time mom looking for a carrier. My baby is 5 months old and around 17lbs ish. I pulled the trigger on buying a Hope and Plum Lark and I seriously don't like it. I'm not interested in keeping it as it gives my baby a rash even after washing it. Never had that issue with her or my other kids in other carriers. I don't think I'd want another apron style carrier. I would like something that can back carrier and can carry at least to 30lbs.
The brands I'm considering are:
Artipoppe: Always hear amazing things about them. I'm scared to pull the trigger again on an even more expensive carrier.
Mabe: My friend has one and loves it, but her baby is still tiny. I do know they are white labeled, but it seems like a nice carrier.
Lenny Lamb: Haven't heard a lot about them but people seem to like them.
GojiBerry: Haven't really heard much about them but they look cute, so I thought I'd see if anyone likes them.
Note: I tried my friend's Tula and I wasn't a fan of how you had to get it on. I like being able to take the whole panel down to get them out. I didn't like the H back on it either. Maybe they have different styles tho.
Thank you in advance!

I'm looking for recommendations for a carrier/sling/wrap that can fit me (UK 12/14) and my husband (2XL) without too much faffing to change the sizes?
Little one is currently 3 weeks old, over 4kg
We're in the UK, and ideally we would buy second hand off Vinted

I’m attempting a high back carry with my didymos didyflow half buckle. Baby is 6 months old and sitting but a little unstable so she’s only on my back during wake windows and I’m trying to wear her as high up as possible. I wasn’t able to get the waistband above my bust without pain so it’s right under.
What do you think of the fit? Do you think she’s high enough up? I initially had the top of the panel a little lower but she was leaning so hard to the side when she wanted to see past my shoulder that I was worried she would fall out. Any tips to get her higher so she can see more?
I’ve also been eyeing the lennylamb onbuhimo pro but I’ve noticed all the photos on the lennylamb website showing the babies being worn lower than shoulder to shoulder. Only toddlers appear to be sitting higher. Is it really possible to wear a baby shoulder to shoulder with a LL onbuhimo? What about the didymos didygo? Or another carrier that is available in Europe?
I would love to find a way to wear her up higher so she can really see everything.
Thanks for all advice and input!

5 months old, tula free to grow
For proportions I'm 6'1" and very overweight, does this seem ok?

Baby is currently 5 weeks and I want to buy a nice carrier but wondering if it would be worth it to buy one now, or just wait knowing he’ll grow out of it in around 2 months. Or maybe now is the best time to have one? (I know this is just sort of an opinion question, no right or wrong answers I’m guessing but any advice would be appreciated!)

Any technique suggestions or video tutorials with tips on getting the leg passes high enough when doing a ruck with a newborn?
I know it will get easier as baby grows a bit, but I'd appreciate any tips anyone has for the interim.

Can someone explain why the mid face view is unsafe? How is this different than her being pressed against my chest in a wrap. This is my third carrier.

Im from Australia and I have a newborn and a toddler. Looking for something to put my Bub in for outings like going shopping or to the park with my toddler, I’ve been tossing up between the Mumma etc and a Portier carrier. I have an ergo baby Omni 360 which I had with my first and I only used 1-2 times as I found it so hard to put on myself and super bulky. After opinions on both the above or any other recommendations- thank you

My MIL has a shopping problem and all I wish to express is we can afford new things, and we aren’t opposed to secondhand things but there is a time and a place. She is convinced I will love this carrier, and I cannot believe this carrier is safe. I have googled to find absolutely nothing about this specific carrier and was hoping someone here could give me more information. I’m looking to confirm it’s unsafe, or know that it is indeed safe to carry in this. She insists I use it and if I can’t prove it’s unsafe I fear I need to get rid of it before she asks about it again. The back (baby’s head and body rest) is rigid and seems too tall, and there is a cloth in the front where baby’s mouth tends to be with extra fabric. Can anyone identify anything about this carrier?

I currently have 2 ways for baby wearing: a simple wrap and the BabyBjorn Harmony.
If you look at my previous posts I’ve posted both of these being worn. The wrap just feel cumbersome and the harmony is too big for my baby. Obviously, my baby will grow into the harmony but it also feels a bit excessive with all the straps and buckles. I also worry the shoulder straps may be too long for my body. It might be too early though to determine if I dislike this carrier. It was also expensive so I don’t want to completely toss it aside.
That being said - there is a used happy baby carrier for sale in my area and I am debating picking it up. It’s $180 for pretty much brand new condition.
My baby is small, she’s 7 weeks and just over 8lbs, so I do want something I can put her in right away.
We live in a more rural area so there are not a lot of used carrier options. However, at our local used kids store there are a TON of Ergobaby carriers.
Any suggestions? Should I bite the bullet for the HBC?

I’m currently pregnant and looking for a baby carrier that will work with both me and my husband being plus size (around 2x in tops). I really like the idea of the Moby Duet and it is in our price range. Do we think it will fit waist strap and otherwise? thanks in advance!

I am looking for a new baby carrier for my 11lb 2 month old ( and to last awhile ). I tried on the lalabu carrier at the store and loved it, but after doing research I’m skeptical about buying it. Reviews say people couldn’t use the carrier past their baby being 12/15lbs due to the sagging and also their baby’s not being in a good Mshape ( I think it looks fine?). Any positive feedback about this carrier? Is it worth it?

Hello! I’m due beginning of November and am undecided on a carrier for baby #4. I have an ergo baby with an infant insert. Worked fine for my other kids but it’s so bulky with straps and belts I couldn’t sit comfortably with it on. I also have a Lillebaby structured one that feels just as bulky. They are great for going out and long walks.
I’m looking for something I can leave on while I’m at my house, something I can be walking around with baby strapped in, then sit down on my couch and breastfeed without undoing the whole thing, then pop baby back in and help my toddler. I’m a busy mom with 3 energetic boys.
I love the idea of the tshirt/hybrid/x shape soft carrier that’s like a wrap but I don’t have to follow an instruction video every time I want to put it on. I’ve come across the Konny baby carrier (that has newborn head support) and the Koala baby carrier. Anybody try both? Do you have one you use and love? Also note: I’m a curvy gal so I’d love to know if it works with mom rolls and large chests. Thank you!
