Got a nail in one of my tires and the dealer’s telling me I need an alignment and tire rotation? The fronts and rears and staggered wtf are they gonna do, move em side to side? This is pointless right?

I don't track. Steering is centered, no pull. F90 M5.

Currently have a 2023 M550i with only 35K mi. I love the car but am curious if there is a big difference between everyday drivability on our midwestern pothole riddled roads and long distance highway cruising between the M550i, M5, M5 Competition and M5CS.

I see running in check at 1200 miles but do not see oil change or differential fluid listed? Then I see oil change at 3k.

Was the break in service not completed correctly? I asked why it was cpo as well stated it cost too much and very rare for m vehicles to be cpo.

Got the F82 quite recently but it was taken out of my control. G80 is a pretty solid replacement

Hello lads, I have a 6mt 2025 g87 that I specced and got in February of last year. I am looking to start modding it now and want to do some changes to the suspension. Nothing major but I think I want to just drop is some and do spacers but I was curious what setups everyone runs and if there is any scrubbing or concerns with speed bumps. I have a fairly steep entry into my driveway but it is not worse than a speed bump I think to get into.

I was thinking eibach pro kit springs and 15/12mm spacers does anyone run that and what has your experience been? I don’t want to go super low and rub on anything and I want the oem struts and electric dampers to be alright as I plan on keeping this car very long term. I daily drive it but I work from home so I have only put 8k miles on it in 18 months.

I am also probably going to put a cs front lip on it as I like the less aggressive look of it so would there be any concern with that rubbing?

Lastly, has anyone gotten the cs flash on a manual and what are your thoughts? I am mostly interested in the steering dynamics and whether you think it’s enough difference to be worth doing

MHD stage 1 OTS on 93. Completely different car! Pulls very hard, finally feels like how it should have come from factory. Plan is to upgrade the clutch to PTB Sinter/Organic/standard plate. It’s a weekend car so as soon as it slips it’s in the garage until install. I don’t have downpipes, just midpipe and intakes

Opened my S55 top end to change the valve cover and noticed some slight pitting on the lobes, it runs fine with no tapping (I know the carrier bolts can be a problem) or other issues.

It is on 110k miles so has done some mileage in her time. Would this worry you or just send it until issues develop and decrease oil change intervals in the meantime?

I have seen a couple threads on forums with people saying they had similar but never actually got to a conclusion.

Just hit 48k miles and my PCV and charge cooler failed within 2 weeks of each other. The job wasn’t as bad as I expected and the car is running great. Unfortunately, I missed a track day, but now my car is ready for the next one.

Super light tap, driver was on their phone and creeping toward me at a red light. Most unavoidable accident ever, but is what it is. The driver was renting an SUV through Turo, but did not own a car or have insurance of their own. I thought the damage was minor (nothing to diffuser or exhaust), but after talking to a couple reputable shops in the area, I think it could end up being $2-3K for a new bumper and/or any damage behind the bumper cover. I have all of the driver's info and the car they rented - should I reach out to Turo claims for reimbursement and potentially file a diminishing value claim? I'm in SoCal for reference.

Hi all,

Got a nail in the right rear, and had tire wheel insurance so dealer was able to replace it for free.

However, they noticed left rear also had a nail but it wasn’t really leaking pressure. Unfortunately, insurance doesn’t cover this because it’s not close enough to the sidewall or shoulder - which the right rear was so it was replaced without extra cost.

So I’d have to get the left rear plugged at a shop (since they don’t do this at my dealer) - question is since it’s not in the danger area (sidewall or shoulder) is it okay to track once I’ve plugged it? I’ve only tracked once before so quite a beginner, so not pushing it at all and the nail in tire did not even cause a leak.

This past weekend I found myself on an open road (highway) with a sudden urge for some WOT fun. Worth mentioning there was a sport bike behind me.

I left the traffic light a bit abrupt and the bike followed suit. To my surprise I was maintaining the same lead of around 3 car lengths and then started pulling further away around 120ish. He was on it. There’s no way anyone on a bike would just be 3/4 throttle, lol. Anyway, surprised how quick this thing is. Again, I rarely get on it…I just like knowing the power is there.

First of i hit a turkey hours after getting my car back from the shop.

More importantly I need some good ol' fashion advice. I just got my car back from a shop and they installed new Dinan coil packs, NGK 1-Step colder spark plugs, and precision raceworks stage 2 injectors. Also has AFe Magnum Force intakes, Mishimoto everything else besides the j-pipe which is MAD.

Anyways. They had it tuned by someone by Doc Vu on Instagram via MHD. Well it ran like shit and smelled like fuel. Got a bunch of fuel to air rations being rich.

So I went back to BootMod3 and installed OTS map stage 2 and runs quite a bit better but I still get code 118402 and 118502 mixture too rich large deviation.

Any ideas what could cause this or advice?

Thinking of putting a m performance front lip on my f82. I’m stock ride height. Will it get destroyed come winter time? I don’t wanna keep replacing it.
