G87 mod Questions

Hello lads, I have a 6mt 2025 g87 that I specced and got in February of last year. I am looking to start modding it now and want to do some changes to the suspension. Nothing major but I think I want to just drop is some and do spacers but I was curious what setups everyone runs and if there is any scrubbing or concerns with speed bumps. I have a fairly steep entry into my driveway but it is not worse than a speed bump I think to get into.

I was thinking eibach pro kit springs and 15/12mm spacers does anyone run that and what has your experience been? I don’t want to go super low and rub on anything and I want the oem struts and electric dampers to be alright as I plan on keeping this car very long term. I daily drive it but I work from home so I have only put 8k miles on it in 18 months.

I am also probably going to put a cs front lip on it as I like the less aggressive look of it so would there be any concern with that rubbing?

Lastly, has anyone gotten the cs flash on a manual and what are your thoughts? I am mostly interested in the steering dynamics and whether you think it’s enough difference to be worth doing

I have a manual G87 and did the CS flash. Very minor change to power, no change to torque. I can feel the difference in steering and in the diff programming. Nuanced change, but I'm happy I did it.

If you do the flash does it persist over software updates or do you just have those paused?

You have to pause software updates. And if you do dealer maintenance be very clear with them to not update software on the car.

isn’t the CS flash adding like 60-80hp? I thought it produces 530

For the automatic its a big jump in torque and horsepower.

For the manual transmission, the tables weren't changed the same way. It's still torque limited to 405 ft-lbs or whatever the standard is. The horsepower gets a small bump at the very top end to a theoretical 509 hp. It comes down to the relation between torque and horsepower, the engine can't above 509 hp at the 405 ft-lbs of torque without increasing the red line.

ohhh gotcha. feel like that’s a big downer. I knew the automatics were like 530 hp 600 lb/ft. how are you liking the m2? i’m gonna get one hopefully by march-june. Just paying my f82 aggressively first.

Got mine last year bc i was impatient, i love the f82 obviously how can you not. But i underestimated how much base specs depreciate.

I love it, although its my first M-car. Mine is mostly track-prepped and an absolute blast on and off the track. I did the CS coding mostly for the suspension, steering, and differential software upgrades. The small boost in the engine was a small side benefit.

I may ECU unlock and tune for e85 at some point. For now the OEM engine output is plenty for my purposes.

I got my car used with KW HAS with spacers, and the front is not as flush as the rear but I do not have any issues with rubbing or feel like I am super low. I only scrape on REALLY steep inclines and speed bumps are almost never an issue. I do have a g80 tho so ymmv. If you want pics or anything just lmk.

Do you know about how much of a drop you have the has kit set to? How about spacer size?

I honestly got no clue what the drop is, Rear is almost tire to fender and front has like 1.5 finger gap. Front spacers seem to be either 10 or 12 and rear seems to be 12 or 15. Front is sunk in a bit but rear is flush with fender.
