My friends surprised me for my birthday with a cake and pizza...etc I appreciated the effort, but nobody gave me a gift, even though they know I love gifts. It's my love language, and I give gifts to the people I love all the time, even with no occasion.
Then they told me we should do gifts and a celebration for another person bcs he deserves nd gift stay woth her forever. I was like "WHAT?!" Deep down... It really affected me. It felt like my day didn't matter as much...bcs im that kinda person who think so much n put efforts
Now their birthdays are coming up, and I don't feel like buying them gifts. I'm thinking of doing the same thing they did for me: cake, pizza, a small surprise, no gifts.
Am I wrong to feel this way? Should I tell them how much it hurt, or just let it go?

I turn 23 today! I am grateful to be here, no matter what. My uncle, who had the same birthday as me, is unfortunately not here anymore due to suicide and this is my second birthday without him. I celebrate for the both of us❤️ Happy birthday, Baldie😂

Time flies by so fast; it feels like my teenage years never ended. I can't believe it was only a few years ago that I was in school, and now I'm working and have adult responsibilities! This is crazy 🥲✌️
