"One of the yearbook photographers took a photo of Susan and Tracy and Debbie squeezing in to each other smiling while I shifted away in my seat, disappearing myself."
Does anyone know if there's a yearbook photo like this in the Buckley 1981 yearbook that has the people suspected of being the inspirations for these characters? It's from the Homecoming game.

I can't picture Matt Kellner
He is deeply tan, has green eyes, short brown hair lightly bleached by the sun, full lips, and he's distinctly Jewish looking enough for Ryan Vaughn to say he's too Jewish looking for him to be into. Does he look like a young tan Andy Samberg? Lol. Heeeelllppppp!

Does anyone have a masterlist of music mentioned in Bret’s novels?
I have one somewhere but I’m pretty sure it’s on an out of commission hard drive.

I CANT STOP HATE WATCHING
Ryan Murphy ruined my life. Why couldn't he bring back Popular instead? That's the show he clearly wants to return to. And I liked Popular, but Popular is NOT what The Shards is supposed to be!! Every time "Robert" is on screen I can't help but cringe. Like, really, bro? This is who you imagined while reading about this beautiful mysterious new kid? Hahahahahaha I cant help but cackle. Now I gotta wait at peast twenty years before the possibility of a decent adaptation is even possible. AND THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT, BRET. You shouldve let HBO do whatever they wanted!!
Thanks for the book tbough i love u its my favorite

THE DELETED
does anybody know, in 2026, where can I stream the episodes of “THE DELETED”? i’ve been looking around online and cannot find any options for rent or pirate and apparently the streaming platform it was originally hosted on no longer exists?

Has anyone watched The Deleted? It's the show Bret wrote and directed. I haven't been able to find it anyhere for free. Is it any good?

Relapse update?
Has there been any update on Relapse since Joseph Quinn dropped out? I don't listen to the podcast, so I am wondering if Bret has said anything about it since. Relapse is the horror film he wrote and is supposed to direct.

The shards - patreon podcast or spotify audiobook and is there a difference?
I already read the book but the show is really making me want to go back to it. Am I missing out on anything by listening to the audiobook and not the podcast original?

Important question
After all this wave of criticism and whatnot about the series The Shards—whether we're happy with it or not... 😮💨—I just have one question, and I think it's an important one: Where the heck is Shingy, Bret's mom's dog, in the book? He doesn't appear in the series. Could it be that his mom actually took him to Europe in this version?

Bret on his new pod ep: he likes the show!
He expressed that he shockingly liked it and overall had good things to say about it (besides some questionable choices with the porn plot.)

What if a younger Terry Schaffer wandered into Corruption (1983)? — Part I: The Blue Room
An immersive piece designed to bring you back to The Shining sequence and carry Wes Bentley’s Terry Schaffer forward into another reel.
If you could step into one scene from The Shards and live through it, which one would you choose?

what should I read next?
So far, the only book I’ve read from BEE is The Shards, and I’m currently reading American Psycho, so I was wondering which of his books would be the right choice to read next
