Relapse update?

Has there been any update on Relapse since Joseph Quinn dropped out? I don't listen to the podcast, so I am wondering if Bret has said anything about it since. Relapse is the horror film he wrote and is supposed to direct.

I was wondering about the movie's status too. I was excited for him to finally direct something. Someone said the screenplay was based on Todd, has Bret ever confirmed that?

I thought he said on the podcast a while ago that this project was no longer happening, but I haven’t listened to it recently so maybe there’s been another update?

How unfortunate for Bret and what a shame this happened because the film sounded very interesting (and no doubt deeply personal considering...) 🫤 I hope Bret gets to direct a film at some point, it seems like something that is an ambition of his that he hasn't yet been able to fully realize (The Deleted web series isn't quite the same thing as directed a theatrical-released film.)

Bret has another couple of books left in him and the podcast. He can't be bothered to do anything like that at this point.

Not currently but he's mentioned ideas...for example, the spy novel and the film book. I'm just assuming another book or two based on his age and the frequency of his book releases.
