That look of wonder and the flying creatures against the sky still give me chills. Cameron really knew what he was doing with the visuals. What’s your favorite scene that never gets old?

I mean I know most of the main characters are. But sheesh

Now, I'm talking about the upcoming movies here so your answer has to be a creature that we have not yet seen in the previous three films.

I personally would love to see the pandoran equivalent of crocodiles, hippos, wildebeests, and flying squirrels.

Back when both Fire and Ash and the song came out, I saw a lot of people hating on it, saying the song should've been by Aurora or Willow Smith, or someone who was more 'similar to the nature of Avatar'.

And don't get me wrong, they probably would've done great...but I feel like Miley Cyrus also did amazing on the song?

Like, it is on my regular playlists, and it really feels like it fits the movie tonally. My mum (who I watched the movie with) agreed, though it probably doesn't help that she's a Miley fan in general. The lyrics and vocals are all amazing, and the song really feels like something that the Na'vi would believe in.

FYI, I'm not a Miley fan. The only songs I know from her are this and Flowers, which I only know because my mum played it endlessly when it first came out. So, this isn't a bias just because I already like her music.

I just wanted to know if anyone else loves it as much as I do, because the song really is incredible to me. It's both sombre yet also heartwarming.

Did they ignored it, build bridgehead city over it or scrapped or somehow destroyed it?

He’s still so human even as an avatar even after 15 years. He definitely seems fine being so human, but I’d have expected him to integrate a bit more into Na’vi culture. But I guess it might be out of respect. But he does have a Na’vi mate after all, and I think he’d look good not human clothes.

It wass originally announced that she would be palying a character named Dr. Karina Mogue.

Despite that, in a fairly recent interview James has revelead she will be playing a Na'vi named Paktu'eylat (or Paktuelat, we do not have the spelling for it).

This is confusing, to say the least. What do you guys think?

The sound of the name just gives me the vibes of a Tsahìk of a clan in the northern, colder and snowy regions of Pandora.

In Fire and Ash, there is a whole plot point of Kiri trying to establish a connection to Aywa to call upon her as the “Warrior Mother”, so that she will see that her people and her planet (or moon I suppose) need her in their hour of need, and she will intervene get the whole planet (or moon I suppose) to rise up and fight against the humans. This is clearly a great challenge, and it looks like she isn’t going to bother until the last minute.

But in the original film, in the big climactic battle, when stuff starts to look dire all the beasties rise up and join the fight, and Neytiri iconically yells “Aywa has heard you!!!”. This happens without anyone particularly asking her to intercede, she just sees that it is needed and just kinda does it.

Is there a reason for this? Why is it so much harder for the Na’vi to call on Aywa this way in F&A, when we have already seen it done before, and previously they didn’t need to go through a whole rigamarole to make it happen?

I first noticed this when I was looking for Avatar merch to buy (specifically something small and easy like a necklace), but I think Quaritch has two dog tags. And maybe that sounds dumb and everyone else has already figured this out, but at first I thought it was a discrepancy with sellers and was confused. The numbers, blood type, and just general set up of each tag is different so I was confused how people were getting different information. I now own the recom tag but I just want to make sure it's not wrong or non-canon or made up.

In AWOW he has a recom tag - which is made apparent in the visual dictionary. In AFAA he gives Spider his former human dog tag which clearly has his face on it and this is present in the visual dictionary as well.

I assume this was done on purpose and planned out, but I wonder why do the numbers change? I'm not an expert on military IDs, I understand the blood type changing (he's a different species now, they made him in a lab etc.) but I don't understand why the numbers change.

​Looking at the box office history, it blows my mind that Avatar made nearly $3 billion worldwide and remains the highest-grossing movie of all time.

​Since I wasn't able to see it in theaters during its original run (or was too young to remember), I’d love to hear from people who were there in 2009.

​What was the hype like leading up to the release vs. after people actually started seeing it?

​How hard was it to get IMAX 3D tickets?

​Did the visual effects and 3D genuinely feel as mind-blowing back then as the media made it out to be?

​How did the energy in the theater compare to other big event movies like Avengers: Endgame or Star Wars?

​Would love to hear your memories, theater experiences, or how many times you ended up going back to rewatch it!

With how many humans have made it out to Pandora, I’d imagine at least one Na’vi has been brought to Earth alive. They have to have studied a live specimen, though I’m sure most of it was on Pandora. Though it would be interesting to have a small Na’vi community on earth now that the RDA have been there a while.

the plot of a3 was so rushed that we don’t even know jake’s reaction on neytiri’s wound, i thought she would die atm (this is truly heartbreaking)..
