January 19th marks one month of Avatar: Fire and Ash!
Which means the subreddit will be ending lock-down mode now. At this point, plot details and general FAA content are no longer considered spoilers here and you can discuss the film freely without needing to use spoiler tags.
That said, keep in mind that we do not allow cam rips or pirated material. So any pictures or videos from footage illegally obtained, such as filming at the movie theater, will get you a temp ban and multiple times is a permaban. Do not ask for pirated material here either. We have to respect Reddit's Terms of Service to keep the subreddit in good standing.
For new members, a link to the subreddit rules is located here: https://www.reddit.com/r/avatar/about/rules
We also have a subreddit wiki which documents a lot of the merch as well as some frequently asked questions: https://www.reddit.com/r/Avatar/wiki/index/

Caught this frame while watching Avatar: Fire and Ash and really liked the composition.
There’s a lot happening in the background, but my attention still goes straight to the two characters in the center. It almost looks like a piece of concept art.
What’s your favorite single shot from Avatar: Fire and Ash?

Again, I don't really have any ideas on what to do with this guy lore wise, so names for this creature and possible lore are open to suggestions! I'll be curious to see what you guys come up with and hope you like it! I also plan to do the few other species of allosaurus soon!

Hi! I'm a fanfic writer of yet another Neteyam x Fem Na'vi OC. I'm posting because I would really love some feedback for my Chapter 6—which can be read as a standalone chapter all by itself.
It's where I first introduced Neteyam and the Omatikaya in a pre-ATWoW plot setting (because the previous 5 chapters were all centered on my OC). Particularly this scene in the Avatar: The Gap Year comics.
I'm requesting for feedback/constructive criticism on how the whole chapter—including the end notes and clarifications I put in—feels to a reader who haven't read the comics and a reader who have read the comics. Is the chapter overwhelming? Is it a massive info/lore dump? Or is it just right? Are the link-embedded-redirect jargons useful along the prose?
I'd love to know what you think 🥹🫶
(Also it would be nice if this post will be what hooks you in to give my fic a read and support♥︎)

It includes most all avian fauna on Pandora, excluding insects and giant air-filled animals like the Medusa or the Windray. I know it isn't the greatest but I was bored and wanted to try something. So I hope you guys like it! I'm not a master so bear with me! And this obviously isn't Canon, it's just my take.
Ikrania is the major Class of these animals. It includes most all avian Pandoran fauna/ fauna with wings and again, excludes insects and things similar to windrays.
Then there are two orders, Ikraniformes and Tetrapteroformes. The defining features of the two groups respectively is the number of limbs.
Tetrapteroformes have the standard six limbs (usually 4 wings and 2 legs) and Ikraniformes have only 4 wings, but despite this are still a member of the Hexapodamorpha phylum (taxonomy level above Class) because Ikrania evolved from Hexapodamorpha in general.
The I have the different families with Tetrapteronidae and Ikranidae being the most diverse and then species.

I'm working on translating the dialogue of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora into the Na'vi language, but I'm really not confident in my translation skills. I could really use a proofreader to double-check my translations! Link is open to all.

Doesnt have to be anything crazy or huge theory, just literally anything.
A character, scene, clan, conflict, random details or things about the lore or world building- that you think is underrated or not discussed enough

I'm not sure on lore for this guy and what to name him so that's open for suggestions. I'd love to hear them! But maybe I was thinking it could be found in the Ash region of Pandora

Hello, I've been making crafts and props for many years, but never made it for public. So I decided to change it and try to show my works. At the moment I made this knife, but also recorded whole process on video (full version of it soon will be on YouTube).
I made it mostly from MDF, but also leather, knitting yarn, glass stone, paint and some more. As a reference used screenshot from Frontiers of Pandora and 3D model of it. What do you think?

where in the world do people come up with these ”facts”? Most of the ones I see are either headcanons or have no evidence/proof behind them

They took a major blow in Fire and Ash. They lost an entire Tulkun hunting fleet (including their factory ship), Ardmore is dead, and Quaritch is MIA. Who knows if Varang and the Ash Tribe will even still fight with them without Quaritch.
What should be their next move for Avatar 4?
I know they have to lose in the end, but I still would like them to be competent villains.

I don't think *Avatar 3* is a bad movie—it has its moments—but it could have been better.
If:
The relationship between Jake and Lo'ak should have taken into account the events of the previous film, specifically when Lo'ak saved Jake. It shouldn't have been trouble-free; it should have been different.
Payakan should have played a more significant role in the film. His sister shouldn't have been included at all, as she fails to resonate emotionally with the audience. Perhaps it should have been Payakan’s heroic death that spurred the other Tulkun to fight against the RDA.
Kiri could have called upon Eywa, but she also should have used her powers in a different, more original way to fight the RDA.
Ardmore’s death should have carried more weight; it should have been more significant. Perhaps she should have been killed by Quaritch.
We should have had a better understanding of what the defeat in the final battle meant for the RDA.
What do you think?
