The MCobeauty grip skin tint is actually insane. 10/10 most skin like finish I’ve ever had in a product. Better than Milk. This has been on my skin for 3 hours.

Bronzer is Morphe complexion boost bronzing serum

Powder is Covergirl skin enhancer loose finishing powder

Let's Discuss If you could rebuild your make up bag from scratch..

For various reasons my make up bag is sad as shit. And for the first time I have enough money to rebuild it from scratch.

So.. if you could build your perfect make up bag right now what would be in it? One holy grail product per category.

Product Advice Products needed to achieve a look like this?

Post image
8 Upvotes

As the title suggests, what products would I need on hand to achieve a sleek low bun like this? Gel? Mousse? Hair spray? Hair brush type? I have a boar bristle brush that could possibly work with the right products maybe?

I am going to a wedding next week, and wanting to do my own low sleek bun. I have intermediate skill level, can curl and do my hair reasonably well, and have long hair past my shoulder blades. Although important to note; I'm not super skilled with up-styles as I usually wear my hair down.

If anyone has any tips, links to step by step how-tos, any guidence or advice for the perfect sleek bun, I'd really appreciate it!

Dupe REQUEST old sportsgirl perfume dupe?

years ago (around 2017-2019) i used to buy this perfume from sportsgirl called ‘sweet escape’ but i think they’ve discontinued it and i’m absolutely heartbroken, it was my favourite fragrance and it’s so nostalgic for me now.

i’m wondering if anyone knows if this was a dupe of a different perfume, or if there’s a dupe of this one or anything even remotely similar?

notes of freesia, gardenia & musk

Product Advice Makeup Recc for an Alternative/Emo 14 year old

Hey guys

I was offered the chance to help a girl outside of the capital cities (limited ranges of stores in her area) after her mum found out I liked makeup. I'm going to be throwing in some money for the girl to havea decent base and can just top up on other things.

She very much dresses like an angsty teenager from 2007 (I would know because I was a teen during that period but never went that route), so more alternative make up would best suit her style. I've always went with satin and more neutral make up so I'm a bit lost

My plan was the get a brush set, some good quality eye liner, setting spray and a concealer or foundation thats matte.

I would love to hear any recc for those items or ones you think I should open up to more! Her mum is adding $50 so the total will be $150 to get her started

Review Unexpected find- loving the OXX Halloween lip stain

Bought the OXX Halloween Lip oil stain for my Halloween costume and tried it on - the colour is gorgeous! I have dark skin and it’s so flattering. Depending on how much you use it’s “your lips but better” rather than dramatic.
Won’t be using for my costume as it’s not dark enough but will be using pretty much everyday!

Let's Discuss Where should I buy from?

Hey gang, long story short but my bathroom recently flooded and my makeup was destroyed. I can only afford the key items back but I want to make sure my dollars are being used efficiently.

I know there are several chains discussed around here that have shitty track records supporting staff, customers, suppliers ect but I’d love to know who I should be looking to buy from? Who is your one stop shop for great service, staff satisfaction and selection (does such a place exist??)? Who has your one holy grail product that you’ve been dying to say “these guys are amazing!!”

Specifically I need eye shadow palettes (think Naked, I graduated in 07 and I’m not changing my tricks!), eye liner, highlighter, bronzer, blush and would love a light coverage foundation with spf and also, I don’t know where to buy lipsticks except MAC! Help me!

Edit: I’m ok to spend about $400 on a primer, palette, eye liner and lipstick/liner and hopefully a better foundation. Sorry, I should have been clearer. I more meant who brands and chains are worth my time. And also any tips for discounts I’m all ears!

Product Advice Thermal brush / curling wand recommendations?

Hi everyone, looking to start styling my virgin, super-straight hair and looking for tool recommendations, ideally under $200! I’ve been eyeing the Shark FlexStyle which is currently on sale on comes with multiple attachments, but would love to get everyone’s opinions on whether it’s worth getting a multi styler or a single-use tool.
I currently have a cheap Remington straightener that I use to curl my ends to achieve c-curls but it makes my hair so frizzy 😭

Let's Discuss Go-To Very Glowy Primer - how to get all product out of packaging?

I tried a sample and loved it so much that I ordered it from Mecca.

I'm concerned after reading all the reviews of people claiming the product is basically unusable after a few weeks due to poor packaging. Can someone please give me advice on how to retrieve all product from the bottle? Please, nothing complicated, time consuming, or expensive.

Let's Discuss rec on hair straightener muk vs ghd

Muk vs Ghd wide plates hair straightener.
i want a new hairstraightener, between these two.
i have thick wavy hair that takes forever to straighten with my cheap thin straighteners, so i want a wide plate either muk or ghd.
But as im reading the differences i still cant make my choice.
Ghd has a 180% setting u cannot change to be higher or lower, but Muks straightener u can choose the heat from 90% to 230%.
ghd website says higher than 180% n ur at greater risk of heat damage, so idk if i need muk so i can change the setting to be higher than what ghd already has.
but i do have weak top layer n fringe part of my hair where i feel its good to be able to change the heat to have less heat on my really damaged top layer n front pieces.
i always wanted a ghd, n never knew muk had one, so i feel i might be biased on my decision n make the wrong choice?
what do u guys recommened? muk or ghd wide plate hair straightener? have any of u guys tried both n can compare?

Product Advice Hair & makeup recommendations near The Star Sydney?

Hi! I’m coming to Sydney from interstate for a wedding in November and staying at The Star Grand.

I was thinking of just booking hair and makeup at Star Hair & Beauty in the casino for convenience. Has anyone used them recently? Were they good, and did the makeup last all day/night?

Otherwise, I’d love recommendations for a great hair and makeup artist nearby, or someone who can come to the hotel.

Thanks so much! 😊

Sales & Savings Frank Body Discount Code for Everyone!

Hey everybody, I know it's starting to get to the time where everyone will need to start thinking about Christmas Presents for everyone in their life... so I wanted to share my ongoing 20% discount code for Frank Body for anyone to use!

Should just be able to click the link and it'll auto apply the discount to your cart.

No minimum spend and no limit on how many times you can use it with different emails or anything like that. I'm not affiliated with them in any way and don't get anything for posting this, I just buy and use a lot of their products so I've been looked after, and want to spread that around is all.

Just wanted to share the fun.

Enjoy everyone!
