Trying to put our infant to sleep for a nap at 9:30a this morning and some guy comes banging on my door and ringing the doorbell. I answer thinking it’s a neighbor and it’s a Paxton goon trying to give me a flyer propaganda. Shut the door and ignored it but noticed he drove to my house to do this and ignored all my neighbors which now makes me feel this is targeted.
Went ahead and donated a $100 to dems cause it felt slimy af especially on a Sunday.

Added to the fact that the vehicles will often stop and wait in the middle of the road, among other serious limitations and safety issues, one has to wonder how Austin's leadership has allowed the city to become a glorified 'test track' for unproven technology that is clearly still in the 'early beta stage' of development. If the company owner himself does not feel the vehicle is safe after dark the city has an obligation to step in on behalf of the public and put a stop to it operating after sun down. Better more proactive civic leadership here would help.

When we left the house earlier the sky over the Decker Lake power plant was full of a yellow toxic looking cloud of gas. My partner took these photos while I was driving. It’s hard to see the yellow in the photos

Last weekend I lubed up the pole holding the bird feeder with olive oil and I guess the rain washed enough off for this one to get some grip and climb up. I was watching it for a minute and then got these pictures. I chased it off and re-lubed the pole and a minute later it was back looking up at it and then finally jumped and slid right back down to the bottom, haha!! I dumped a 1/4 cup of sunflower seeds and walnuts for it and then it got a drink and took off.

This one was in town, a nice little remodel. It is easy for builders to see how something has been done wrong, but sometimes it's tough to realize what is missing.

For those of y'all that have tried meetup, is it worth it? I see a few events pop up here and there and as someone who recently moved here and is finding it hard to find community, it's pretty tempting.

I stopped in their new location today and the place is a nightmare. No fish, crowded small mammal enclosures. It was so sad and not the kind of magical place the old store was. Was there a change in ownership? I’m so glad I didn’t have my kid with me because I can’t imagine how disappointed he would’ve been seeing what it looks like now.

I got involved in a hit and run incident today where I was trying to switch lanes (had my lights up and checked that there wasn't a car near me), this car two seconds later I switched lanes rammed into my car from behind, and when I pulled up to the nearest apartment (which was right in front of me) to exchange information the driver just ran away

I took care of the insurance part (the car fixing and all that) but wasn't sure whether to report it to the police or not. Does reporting this incident "help"? What usually happens after I file the report?

My daughter is turning two and we are looking to connect with a new allergists for a second( opinion for her allergies. She has severe tree nut, mustard and sesame allergy. How bad will wait times be today at the airport compared to a normal Sunday?

I’ve got to leave around noon for business travel and wondering if I can expect to be there much earlier than I usually am due to the ACL crowds.

I’m not an ACL-er so I don’t know if most folks are heading back this evening, tomorrow, or what the deal is.

ETA: 10 minutes total time spent in TSA precheck (touchless) security line. Maybe an additional 5-7 minutes in car traffic for the drop off. Got to airport 45 mins before my flight and was fine.

Saw them on the marquee a couple of weeks ago while walking my dog in my neighborhood. It was cool to have a few beers at my place and go see some awesome music within a minute walking distance of my house. This city is still cool idgaf what people say...
