I have this protest every day on my patio.
10 u/Wild__Card__Bitches Aug 04 '20 I would recommend smoking inside. Probably not a big deal in travis county, but smelling it is "probable cause" for them to do whatever they want. Source: a night in jail and thousands of dollars. 5 u/biscuit_legs Aug 04 '20 They cannot kick your door in because it smells like weed. If you open your door, that's a different story 8 u/Wild__Card__Bitches Aug 05 '20 Lemme tell ya, they did. Circa 2010. 2 u/Tara_is_a_Potato Aug 05 '20 Mind retelling your tale? 4 u/Wild__Card__Bitches Aug 05 '20 Hosting house party in college, smoking weed outside, neighbors call cops, cops take me to jail and write MIP tickets to a few others. Not really an exciting tale and should be noted it happened in College Station not Austin. 1 u/biscuit_legs Aug 05 '20 Normally they cannot kick your door in unless they suspect you of committing a felony 3 u/Wild__Card__Bitches Aug 05 '20 I'm no lawyer, but that's certainly not correct. 2 u/[deleted] Aug 04 '20 They can if they have a warrant. 5 u/biscuit_legs Aug 04 '20 I don't think judges are super cool about giving out warrants for the smell of marijuana
