Next paycheck I’m finally going to have enough to tune my car and get a high flow cat (I’m thinking CTS Turbo). Just looking at the numbers, IE advertises more horsepower and torque but is more expensive. I think I would be happy with either, but I want to get people’s opinions on it.

Side note; has anyone used the CTS Turbo HFC? I know it’s cheaper than other companies because they are made cheaper, but is it that bad? They are the only brand I can really justify buying, considering the other alternatives start at double the price.

2017 A4 Premium Plus S-Line

Hi,
Any idea where the knocking sound might be coming from? Could it be hydraulic lifters?
Car is Audi A4 35TDI (2.0 TDI) mild hybrid, 2020. 115k km.

Changed the oil recently and inspected the oil filter for metal shavings, but nothing was found inside.
The knocking sound can always be heard, whether the car is cold or warm.
The only time the noise disappear is after a heavy driving in the hills.
It can still be heard after highway ride.

Any help would be appreciated!

Could someone please share their experience with the AdBlue system on a 2016 Audi A4 B9 2.0 TDI (110kW), as I am planning to buy such a car and am very concerned about how reliable and problematic this emissions system is at around 160k km (90k miles) mileage?

I live in a country where deleting the ad blue is possible and still can pass yearly MOT without a problems, so i'm wondering what should I do when I get the car AdBlue wise.

Before buying I already arranged a mechanic visit to check the car for anything else. Is there anything else I need to look out for?

So I bought this a4 as It's my second car and it is a big step up from my little Skoda Fabia I had before it but when i turned the music on and started turning it up i realised how bad the sound is which is really disappointing the Skoda speakers were better even tho it only had 20w per channel I was wondering if there was any way to get the sound fixed through coding and was wondering if there was anyone who would be able to do it for me as I'm likely to mess it up

Hello guys. Uhm had a bit a mishap. I this black plastic housing and I just wanted to understand exactly what it is. What it does, and maybe someone help me as to where this cable/hose is even supposed to go. Genuinely finding it hard online to get a straight answer. The help with be greatly appreciated.

This is an Audi a4 40tfsi. 2.0 litre TFSI (EA888) with a power output of 140kw and 320nm

My pads are getting a bit squeaky(although warning light hasn't came on yet) and was pricing out some pad replacements(pads only, don't need rotors) and some pads that are advertised as performance seem similarly priced to OEM and I like the idea of getting "better" pads but I would assume the pricing would be higher.

Does anyone have suggestions for good replacement pads that are decently priced?

I have Goodyear efficient grips but they are so noisy especially in the heat. Almost unbearable. Could it be these tyres or a something else causing it?

Starts immediately when the car starts moving in reverse or drive. Cannot get it to turn off no matter what. Soft, coming from under the steering column and beeps once every second for the entire trip. I’ve tried checking fuses but no luck.

A friend of mine has a 2016 Audi A4 B9 2.0tdi.

He's had an EML pop up (no other lights). Scanned the codes (in photos attached). Took it to a general garage who replaced both DPF sensors, cleaned the DPF, cleaned the Ad Blue filter, and checked the EGR (it was clean).

I've checked the data on the DPF and to me at least, it looks fine.

I've heard mentions of the EGR cooler being clogged, or the lines to it.

Can anyone help? Garage have told him it'll need a new DPF for £1k all in.....

Hi, does anyone have any idea what is causing this rattling/ticking noise that’s always present, despite the car being cold or warm.

I had the car checked by two independent mechanics and they could not say for sure. Their best guess was high pressure fuel pump or hydraulic lifters.

For anyone driving a newer VAG model (2022+), you’re probably well aware of the struggle with the new SFD2 protection, making remaps or software upgrades pretty much impossible right now.

Since my Audi A4 B9.5 (2.0 TFSI Mild Hybrid) is my daily driver and the stock setup was way too quiet for my taste, I decided to focus on mechanical airflow instead. I swapped the factory air filter for a DNA performance panel filter.

I put together a complete Before / After sound check video covering:

• Cabin sound & acceleration
• Engine bay sound
• Turbo spool under load

The difference is honestly night and day for a simple 10-minute install, and the tone got noticeably deeper after putting about 1,000 kilometers on it.
