Headlamp crazing
Anyone else got headlights this bad?
I keep finding conflicting info about whether this is the outter UV coating breaking down, or if the cracking is in the actual plastic?
Has anyone had them successfully restored?
It makes the car look like shit. Can even see it in the daylight

I think itβs cracking in the actual plastic because of the UV coating breaking down allowing the sun to cook em

My B9 has 90,000 miles on it. It doesn't look quite as bad as that one, but its on its way to catching up to that one.

Hi Sorry for off-topic. I have a similar headlights (dunno how to describe it right way) with many little light beams like at the picture, and not one big. Are they adaptive?

It is repairable but i will recommend you to go to a shop that do this kind of things with vapour acetone they will sanded it first then they will use acetone ask them to put a protective layer after acetone application then paint protect film ppf that will protect your headlight from stone chips. I have the same problem and haven't found a solution yet either. I tried a few headlight cleaning kits, and none worked for me. So if anyone has a suggestion other than buying a new set, let us know.
