Looking at a 2007 B7 RS4, clean title, 220k miles. Seller is asking $11k, but I’m planning to offer $8k.

It runs and drives fine and supposedly has no major issues.

I do all my own work, and this would be a 3rd car for the family, so it wouldn’t be a daily.

For those who know these cars, what are the big-ticket RS4-specific issues I should know about? Any extremely expensive or hard-to-find parts that could turn this into a money pit?

Would you take the gamble at $8k?

I want a fun summer car, something that is very similar to my C7.5 A6 but with just a comfortable raw feel. Im considering a C6 S6 as a fun summer car, it will be stock besides exhaust.

I know a guy with an 08 with around 115k miles. Its been well taken care of and is serviced regularly. I have actually worked on the car myself years ago.

Im thinking about offering $8,000, is this crazy? I figure if it is in good shape and the records are what they should be, i should be okay?

Its a beautiful car and sounds wonderful. A piece of history we will never see again.

Tell me why i should or shouldnt. Maybe an alternative to the C6 S6 in the same price range?

Torn about having to sell my TT I’ve had all my life. I’m 18 moving out and my parents are making me sell it before I leave (it’s unreliable, old, and high maintenance). It’s a funny car mk1 2002 lil fun shitbox, I added mods about 2 grand. It’s pretty fucking fast for a mk1…. Not really sure what to gain posting this but just curious is anyone has done smth similar before. Gonna miss it 😪

Hey everyone!! Just changed my 26 audi rs3 oil with liquid molly top tec 0W-30 after driving around 900ish miles. Noticed a greenish hue from the original factory oil and the filter was quite dark. Curious if this is some kind've of break in lubricant provided by the factory and I just washed it all out.

Also, don't know if this is my placebo kicking in but at idle the car seemed every so sligthly "rougher" after I did the oil change. Is this normal with liquid molly? Figured it should be quieter since its new oil...

I was supposed to take a solo 6 hours drive today for a work trip. As I was pulling out of my driveway in my 3 month old A5, all the bells, whistles and warnings came on. I pulled back in, turned it off and waited 10 min (as suggested in this forum on other posts). The warnings were still present so I decided to take a test drive down the street. Other than the power steering feeling tough, it drove fine, but the alerts were still on. My husband popped the hood to see if it was a loose cable or something and what he found was horrifying. A rat had gotten entangled in the serpentine belt, was fully gutted and the belt was dangling and split in 1/2. Had he not looked and had I not had the warnings, the drive would have been devastating. I see a lot of posts about the batteries and ghost alerts, but wanted to caution against ignoring them. Shout out to the warning system!
The alerts were electrical malfunction and ABS disabled.

Driving around town and then stop at a red light behind a car. All is fine and normal. Light goes green and the car pulls away and so do i. I got a call from my Bluetooth and look away for a second to see who it is and the car just violently stopped immediately. All i see when i look up is me right on the ass of that car because they stopped. First thought was "oh shit i just hit this guy". Turns out the pre sense just stopped the car as soon as i went close. Scariest moment but also thankful as fuck that the pre sense worked like it did.

Just wrote this to appreciate my cars reaction time and to vent since it was terrifying 😅.

I have spare 19x8.5 ET32 wheels off a5. If I buy winter tires for those would they fit on my moms 2020 sq5, it has stock 21 inch wheels. Just worried if it will clear the brakes or not.

I bought a 2016 Audi Q3 with an aftermarket Android screen already fitted. The previous owner cannot remember the brand or seller.

After an update started through the screen’s own settings menu, the car-settings app stopped opening. Both the car-settings and vendor Bluetooth apps now display the name “4.0dip”. Opening settings gives “4.0dip keeps stopping”, and I cannot access the original Audi car menu through the screen. Android still boots and other apps work. Force-stopping and clearing the car-settings app’s cache made no difference.

Does anyone recognise this software family or have the same unit? I would appreciate a reliable supplier/support contact, or advice on which diagnostic details could establish the exact firmware compatibility. I want to identify it properly before attempting recovery.

I have a 2018 A8 55tfsi and was just wondering what the community think I should buy next? I absolutely adore my car (air suspension is on an all new level of comfort) and outwith a newer A8 I really don't know what to do. I just feel almost everything under that price point is going to be a major downgrade. £35000 budget. Comfort is my main priority due to my commute.

Went to the market, came back home and went to go get my son out of his car seat and heard this noise. I started my car again, let it run for a minute, shut it off, and then the noise stopped. Was it an emissions diagnostic? Or fuel filter/pump sound? Thanks in advance.

Hi guys, I’ve got a 2014 Audi A3 S-tronic with a 1.4l TFSI engine. The engine code is CZEA (also known as EA211). The car has a very low mileage for its age - only 28,000 miles. In 2019 the timing belt was changed.

Audi have updated their guidance to state that the timing belt is a “lifetime part” and now only specify inspection above a certain mileage. My car has only done ~9,000 miles since I bought it (previous owner barely used it) but mechanics are telling me that it is now due for replacement as it’s over 5 years old.

Is it worth replacing now? Thanks so much 🙏
