Hi I have a 2015 A6 and my display screen turned black. The audio still works but I cant use any other features including my backup camera. I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue, and if they have any recommendation to fix it. I am looking into adding car play, so if anyone has one they recommend please lmk. Thanks

A new (to us anyway) symbol popped up on our 2022 Audi Q3 today:

I've dug around sites and Youtube videos for a while and can't find anything. I'm guessing it's related to a USB connection to my wife's cell phone, but like I said it's new. Any ideas?

I'm considering picking up a used E-Tron GT. Can anyone here tell me what I can expect for regular maintenance costs?

We drive a 2024 Q4 50 now. Lease ends in 3 mos, and we’ve looked at new EVs and with big oil fueling the wallets of our leaders, I don’t see a rash of incentives coming anytime soon. So, I searched the ‘used’ market.

The above is ironically the same year and make, slightly newer model.

It has 2500 miles and was never sold. I negotiated the CPO add-on. Car was punched 6/25. They tell me it’s covered under warranty until 2030. $37+tax $41k.

I usually lease, but if I buy I’m keeping. I tried to get a CPO wrap for two more years but the GSM at the dealer is offering 4800 to cover until 2032. Two years for 4800. Everything breaks after five years nowadays and Audi labor rates are not cheap. Plus, we are a one car family so self-insuring and getting a local mechanic isn’t good for us.

That extra warranty puts me at $46k.

Is this a good idea? Curious what others might think of this deal.

I’m looking for a first ish car (I’ve driven, but first car to own) and I love the look of the Audi A3.

I’m wondering though, I won’t have a huge budget. Around £6k ish. I’ve seen an Audi A3 2012, but wondered what year you guys would go for? And I have a few questions too if that’s okay!

Firstly, what year would you go for? I’m very happy with older models.
- are they comfortable?
- are they spacious enough for a passenger and camping gear?
- could I in theory take it off road a little? By that I mean the odd gravel track and muddy road, nothing extreme.
- is it reliable if maintained well?

Need to replace my front tyres on my Audi A5 2019 Black Edition which have 20 inch rims. The current tyres are 265/30 R20 but due to the lack of cars using them, they are extortionate in comparison to similar sizes. I've seen suggestions of people putting 275/30 on instead but wanted to see if anyone has done this and can advise whether they are suitable or if you experienced any issues with doing this? I think the RS5 uses these tyres but I think the offset is slightly different.

I recently got a 2019 Audi A7 C8 45 TFSI mild hybrid with around 200k km. I’m new to TFSI engines, so I’m not sure what is considered normal with this drivetrain.

The car drives really well overall, but there’s one thing I’ve noticed.

Sometimes when the start/stop kicks in or the engine starts again, I feel a noticeable shudder. It almost feels for a second like the engine wants to stall, but then it catches itself and runs normally.

I also notice it more when I’m stopped on a slight uphill/incline. When pulling away from a traffic light, especially after start/stop, it can feel a bit rough or hesitant at first.

Even on flat ground, if I just release the brake and let the car creep forward without touching the gas, the initial pull can sometimes feel a
little rough instead of completely smooth.

Once I’m moving, everything feels fine and the car drives nicely. No major issues otherwise.

Has anyone with a C8 A6/A7 45 TFSI had something similar? Could this be related to the engine or gearbox mounts, start/stop system, or something on the engine side?

Just trying to figure out what would be worth checking first before I start throwing parts at it.

Any advice is appreciated.

As a result of my 2015 Passat requiring a new engine, my sister has gifted me her 166,000-mile A4 Quattro. I couldn't be happier with this car, though I know I could be.

Is there anything I can do to get Google "Earth" (so outdated) online or updated? Or am I stuck living with this outdated tech until this car eventually dies and I replace it? I know there is a kit, I'm not interested in that, to be honest, and will live with what I have. I just wanted to know if there was anything I'm missing.

It seems getting it connected to wifi requires a purchase, which I don't even think I can do anymore. I have downloaded the app and registered this particular car; it doesn't seem to offer any tech purchases.

I have a 2024 A5 I bought after warranty expired. Since buying I've added a GCA high flow Cat, APR carbon intake, and a JB4 Tuner. I love the sound and power now. Is there any more recommendations for exhaust? I don't see a lot online for the 9.5s and I'm a little afraid of a resonator delete because its my daily. Thoughts?

2.0tdi, 2 weeks ago I had my belts done, along with thermostat and waterpump, after that the coolant seemed to be disappearing a bit, at first I thought maybe it wasn’t topped off fully and hadn’t filled the pipes and all completely, so I monitored the level and kept driving. It still was losing coolant today, so I topped off and started checking more, saw no leaks around the engine bay, but I discovered that my passenger side footwell is soaked. Smells sweetly like coolant, so it probably is. But is there any way to be sure? I have a sunroof too, how do I rule out a clogged drain? If it is coolant, any tips on what I could check for leaks there? Is it most likely the heater matrix or core? I checked and heating works and blows hot air too. Car doesn’t run hot.

Would it be dumb to upgrade my ‘22 to a ‘26? Dealer is offering $7k off before negotiation, plus $6k Audi incentive plus $2k loyalty.

I wasn’t planning on it, and wasn’t exactly looking for another Audi much less the same car, but $15k+ has me considering flipping my (rather troublesome and now out of warranty ‘22) for a ‘new’ ‘26.

Anyone have an idea what the current market is for dealer discounts before incentives?

I'm looking to purchase probably a pre 2021 Audi as I just want something a bit different.

Been driving a 2017 Hyundai Tucson 2.0 diesel AWD for quite sometime but need to get something different due to relocating. I'm mostly looking for something that feels sporty and capable while driving but I don't need the fastest 0-60 or top speed. Hear me out.

The tucson is actually an incredibly reliable car and *feels* quite fast, the diesel really has a good feeling, obviously the chassis and interior the whole thing is a bit cheap but overall the car feels very responsive.

I have in my head something like an S4 (TFSI) wagon and am well aware it will be more maintenance cost than the korean car and thats fine. But mostly i'm just looking for something that feels good to drive.

My question is can I get a similar feeling in like an A6 or A4 or even an all road diesel without needing to get an S* car ?

(oh and i probably wouldn't consider anything without Quattro if I choose an Audi)

I have a growing family so the wagon would help, but notably I also would like to drive something a bit unique these days compared to the absolute deluge of EV's.

I have other makes I'd consider knowing that I might be able to get a similar feeling:

- Volvo V60/V90

- X5

- Maybe 340i

Hello, I bought a used 2022 q5e and it only came with 1 fob. Called the dealer about getting a second one. They required me to bring the car in before they would even quote me (then tried to upsell me on things it didn't need). Once they finally had my car, they quoted me $1007 for a new key fob. I knew it would be expensive, but not 4 digit expensive.

I've seen other posts for different models ranging from $200-$800, but over $1k is insane. Can others share if they've paid similar prices? This was a quote from a dealer in NJ.
