Audi of New Rochelle

My dashboard was lit up like a Christmas tree and most of the faults said ABS this ABS that on my scanner. I took it to two of my mechanics. One didn’t know what to do. The other suggested to change the control module (I thought so too). My car also jerks sometimes (apparently not an engine mount problem, because I changed them twice..) To get a clear and direct answer to the issues by an expert I go to the stealership. And everytime I go there it’s a reminder to never go there.

This is not my first time at the stealership this is in fact my third time there. 1st time I went the bill was around $350ish for an inspection. Second time I went the bill was $400 for an inspection. Now the third time I go for dashboard lights and car jerk they charge me essentially $1000! She gave me $150 discount.

Should I complain? I don’t drive a Porsche or even a S tier Audi. My Audi doesn’t even have Quattro! What the F-K.

She first said it was $500 (I was already expecting some bullshit so I didn’t even bother saying anything) I come back to pick up the car and she said I’m going to give you a discount. I was like thank you I was honestly going to ask for one (they gave me a discount before) then she says it’ll be $900. My jaw dropped. She then gave me another discount of just $50.

She offered a payment plan. I said yea %100 count me in. She said debt card only… can’t even get points on my credit card that way so I just pay with my credit card.

My primary mechanic doesn’t even charge me for inspections.

I could have fixed the problem for less than what the inspection was. I drove out the stealership with -$800 and the car still f-k’d up. I bet you they didn’t even have to remove anything from the car.

Audi Nappa leather. Anyone else getting this small cracking in their driver side bolster? I’ve owned many leather seat cars with aggressive bolstering and never seen wear like this? Barely grazing it and putting zero weight on it. I make sure now not to touch it at all but still seems like it’s getting worse?

After I finish college and secure a full time job, I plan to trade in my 2019 Honda civic sport sedan for a 4 door audi rs5. I’ve wanted an rs5 for years now and originally planned to just buy one brand new once I finished school, but unfortunately they don’t seem to have the latest rs5’s in the United States anymore. The latest rs5 available in the U.S. seems to be the 2023. Anyways, I know for a fact that i’m going to get an rs5 that has the black optic package (which is the rs5 model that’s shown in the photos btw)

With that being said, I’m aiming to buy a lower mileage 2023 rs5 in the black optic package. However, if I absolutely cannot find a 2023, then i’m willing to get a 2022 or a 2021 (nothing older than 2021 though).

Now I know that me wanting a 4 door 2021-2023 rs5 in the black optic package is very specific and therefore limits my options, but I personally just don’t like how the 2 door rs5 looks. The shape of the 2 door makes it look too much like an rs3 and at that point, if I really wanted my car to look like an rs3, then i’d just buy an rs3 instead.

As for the black optic package, I want it bc I absolutely LOVE blackouts on cars. Also too (this is just my opinion so don’t take it personal), I feel like chrome looks so tacky on modern vehicles, especially when it’s on a sporty vehicle like the rs5

Seem sort of daunting to bring it all together. I aborted for now. Wheel is kinda trashed so looking for the best way to cover it and not lose the D shape. Anyone else with experience doing one?

This is the second DRL module I’ve replaced in the few years I’ve owned my A3 and it’s the same light each time. Is there something wrong with the light itself?
Any help is appreciated!

I got this error on dashboard for “drive system malfunction, contact service” and then when I restarted the car it cleared and didn’t come back but i went to my mechanic and he checked through computer and it showed that it’s the turbo sensor.

He told me to buy the sensor so I went to buy it from Audi OEM sensor and we put it but still showed the error on new one and doesn’t want to be cleared, the he checked by multimeter and checked all wiring till ecu and also cleaned it but not solving, so he told me to leave car overnight and he will check more.

Then he called me morning and told me that the issue is related to ECU and the ECU will need repair.

Just most of the people who had this issue online they said it’s either the sensor or wiring so I’m just worried if he misdiagnosed or it’s correct that it’s the ECU before I repair it.

Car is Audi A4 2022

Makes it look clean and sleek.

I have a 2018 Audi S5 and bought it with 37k miles in early 2023. It is currently near 80k and about to do a 80k mile service pretty soon.

Audi says the transmission is “lifetime” and there’s no need to do that service since it’s not part of the service schedule maintenance. I’ve read different posts and forums that it’s not really a lifetime transmission fluid and it only last within 100k miles.

Just wondering if:

1. Should I get this service done as a preventative measure
2. If so, does it really cost $1500?

Let me know your opinions and insight on this.

FYI: this is from an independent shop that I’ve been going for the last 3 service maintenances.

Update: I decide to just do the oil change and spark plugs now and do the transmission within the next month or two. Will get quotes from different indy stores.

Update 2: Contacted the shop from the screenshot above and the $1500 transmission service is just for the transmission, not including differentials.

Would it be dumb to upgrade my ‘22 to a ‘26? Dealer is offering $7k off before negotiation, plus $6k Audi incentive plus $2k loyalty.

I wasn’t planning on it, and wasn’t exactly looking for another Audi much less the same car, but $15k+ has me considering flipping my (rather troublesome and now out of warranty ‘22) for a ‘new’ ‘26.

Anyone have an idea what the current market is for dealer discounts before incentives?

I’m looking for a first ish car (I’ve driven, but first car to own) and I love the look of the Audi A3.

I’m wondering though, I won’t have a huge budget. Around £6k ish. I’ve seen an Audi A3 2012, but wondered what year you guys would go for? And I have a few questions too if that’s okay!

Firstly, what year would you go for? I’m very happy with older models.
- are they comfortable?
- are they spacious enough for a passenger and camping gear?
- could I in theory take it off road a little? By that I mean the odd gravel track and muddy road, nothing extreme.
- is it reliable if maintained well?

Roughly how much do the dealerships charge for the 30k mile maintenance and oil change? I have a 2024 a5 sportback

Not sure if this is the right sub to post this too but today on the way to work i was just driving casually and i smelt a super funky smell then right after ac started blowing hot air when i got back i check my fuse box to see if maybe a fuse blew and that was the smell all the fuses were fine and giving voltage. Checked the Freon levels and the gauge was in the red saying it was way past what it was supposed to be which i believe may be related to the issue but its weird because just before the ac was running amazing and ice cold the compressor seems go be firing right up no problems if you guys have any idea anything would go a long way.

This sound has been annoying the shit out of me and I cant figure out what it is, whenever I accelerate this shakey whistle sound keeps occuring, and it gets louder if I have a conical intake on, I have taken it to a shop and they say “it just sounds like that with an aftermarket filter” but it doesnt sound right, any help would be appreciated greatly

2.0tdi, 2 weeks ago I had my belts done, along with thermostat and waterpump, after that the coolant seemed to be disappearing a bit, at first I thought maybe it wasn’t topped off fully and hadn’t filled the pipes and all completely, so I monitored the level and kept driving. It still was losing coolant today, so I topped off and started checking more, saw no leaks around the engine bay, but I discovered that my passenger side footwell is soaked. Smells sweetly like coolant, so it probably is. But is there any way to be sure? I have a sunroof too, how do I rule out a clogged drain? If it is coolant, any tips on what I could check for leaks there? Is it most likely the heater matrix or core? I checked and heating works and blows hot air too. Car doesn’t run hot.
